Nimrod Resort Apartments

The staff went well out of their way to help us get a ride to the marina. We did not understand the local shuttle system or how far the marina was (7 min drive equated to over an hour walk) or that there are few ubers and no didis here so he drove us to our cruise and gave us a tour of downtown on the way. Very exceptional service.

The pool did not look inviting although there were several kids and families in there swimming. I wish I knew that there are two floors (no lifts) as we had to carry three 20 kg luggage up the stairs. But all in all, very pleased with the service from the staff and friendly neighbours who offered to bring our trash to the dumpster (at the end of the driveway) for us.

The staff at the resort were amazing and incredibly helpful. Our trip to the Great Barrier Reef was cancelled due to weather and they were so helpful to identify and arrange a new trip as well as fixing a broken fan quickly. Always friendly and with a smile. The apartment was comfortable and had a great view of the pool area which the children loved. We used the bbq area which was great. The location was perfect, not far from the town and a 5 minute walk to the beach.

There was nothing that we did not like about our stay.

Very comfortable and clean, featuring an excellent pool with waterfall. Our unit, 46, had everything that we needed, and with 3 bedrooms, and two bathrooms, nobody had to share. The staff were super friendly and very accommodating. One of our nightly highlights was enjoying the gorgeous sunset, and seeing the hundreds of fruit bats flying overhead at dusk. The complex is minutes away from the downtown core, and if asked if we were asked to stay there again, it would be a resounding yes!!

Absolutely nothing negative to say whatsoever.

That the unit had everything in it that we needed especially in the kitchen. The shower had amazing pressure. Beds were comfy but small. Owners were lovely, helpful and kind. The unit we were in was perfect and close to the pool. We feel we had the best possie!

Only the temperature of the pool could have been better but that's uncontrollable. Small shade covered the shallow area and the pool was too warm to swim in during the day and visitors only used the pool in the morning early and late afternoon and night.

My home is cleaner.... just needs attention to detail. Wardrobe rail is dirty The mattress sheet came away and the mattress was visibly stained up near our pillows. Pillows were so overused very flat... Floors and carpets didn't look cleaned or vacuumed. The local birds screeching outside the bedroom at 2 am sounded like a human ..woke us up..

They have a 15 metre pool good for cooling off but not for laps. If you like lap swimming there is a fantastic 50 metre pool at Mossman, 15 minutes drive north. The rooms were clean and the amenities were good. There is a full-size fridge and lots of cooking implements. Our view was on to a forrest at the back of the property and we had a visit from a kookuburra. :)

There wasn't anything that irked me enough to complain about. You need a car to get in to the main shopping and restaurant strip but it's a cheap (by Port Douglas standards) place to base yourself.

This was a brilliant place to stay with the family. The pool is great for all ages, with a spa and a wading/kids pool area and plenty of shallow and deep space for all swim levels. The resort was very tidy and the gardens lovely. There is also a tennis court. The beach is less than a 5 minute walk too, so very easy to get to for the kids. Our apartment was clean and generously spacious. The beds were also very comfy. Really great value for money.

Awesome pool area and walking distance to beach!

Pots where dirty and it was dust around skirting board in the bedroom. Hard to open fly screen doors as it was not sliding properly. Could do with a deep clean.

Great location. Very comfortable and spacious two bedroom unit. Managers were extremely helpful and able to accomodate out extra night of accomodation when our plans changed due to inclement weather which was greatly appreciated. Only negative was that kitchen was not as well equipped as it could have been.

Spacious apartment, not 1 but 2 spacious balconies. Comfortable beds, washer and dryer. We’ll equipped kitchen. Nice swimming pool. Lady at reception was very friendly and gave really good info about area and sights in the area.

Only minor issues, toilet paper a bit light on and dryer had to be run for ages as it didn’t appear to heat up.
