Emerald Maraboon Motor Inn

Team were beyond helpful and kept us up-to-date on availability. Rooms were clean, beds, pillows comfy and air conditioners cool (was terribly hot & humid). Daily refresh was timely, and topped off with mini biscuit treats #yum! Especially grateful we were able to get new linen after Mr 4 managed was sick in bed during the night.

Couldn't quite get the air vent direction to work.. and was a different experience to have paper cups, plates and cutlery in room. Guess it's the new norm post-Covid!

The owner generously met us for check in after 10pm (I can't remember the exact time but it was late). He was friendly and the brochure map he gave us was useful for the rest of our roadtrip. Really comfortable bed, a sight for sore eyes and backs after a long day driving. One of us slept really well and the other got woken up by a neighbouring guest car early in the morning but consider that part and parcel of motel accommodation. I didn't notice any sounds from the main road. I appreciated that they provided a spare blanket as it was a cold night, though we didn't need it. The room was perfectly clean and I found it reassuring that there was a seal slip at the front door saying the room had been cleaned. The room internally is in really good condition (eg I didn't see any mold). Nice personalized notes greeted us on arrival. Small improvement to the bathroom would be a curtain/blind for the small frosted window to improve privacy. There were very comfy looking maybe ergonomic office chairs for those that need them. It was a lot bigger than I thought didn’t know that I was getting a washing machine and dryer and a big kitchen was fantastic. Also housekeeping was fantastic. Thanks definitely will recommend you to everyone that needs to go to Emerald.

Just that the bathroom door handle and the toilet door handle was very loose like going to come off and there’s no Aircon in the main bedroom but that was okay. We just left the lounge room light on

1 minute walk to restaurants and pokies Clean rooms and facilities. Happy friendly staff. Check in available from 9am and check out up until mid day

Our room was spotlessly cleaned and fogged before our arrival. Staff were super friendly and accomadating. Room was larger than most queen suites. Great facilities including the pool. Short 1 minute walk to restaurant and pokies. Ample on site parking. Choice of 2 restaurants. 1 with a huge smoker and a good choice of smoked meats on the menu. Fantastic meals served at both restaurants and room service available from both.

Wow, where do I start? firstly the location is great, just far enough off the highway to make it quiet but close enough to make things accessible. We arrived early and greeted with the most friendly welcome ever and a not a problem, your room is free... A perfect surprise for a couple of weary travellers. On opening the door of our room - it was spotless, fresh and with ample room for a ridiculous amount of gear that we had to stow (work trip). The bed was super comfy and the room had everything we needed. Our plan was to head to the tavern for dinner, however we laid down, found the cable and didn't get any further apart from a much needed walk. The rooms are super quiet at the back of the complex which is where we were, not sure about the ones closer to the tavern, though I suspect everything may be soundproofed. The curtains were great, not allowing too much light in and giving us a sleep in too. Oh and the cleaning staff were also super friendly too which is a tough gig considering it was Easter Monday and they were working. I could go on, but check out this lovely motel for yourselves :).

The room was really clean, I have stayed in many hotels whilst travelling for work and they all are generally below par on the cleanliness. This hotel room was spotless and there was a great selection of tea/coffee. They also serviced my room on on a Sunday whilst I was at work. It was a very short walk through to the restaurant which had a decent selection of meals at pub prices. The air conditioner was able to be adjusted to my required temperature, you don’t always have that option in some places.

The internet wasn’t great, it was too slow for running my computer. I found it easier to hot spot from my phone. That’s generally what you get from free wifi though. Would happily have paid for wifi if there was a better speed available.

I normally don't stay at large corporate places . This place is large but with smal family run feel . Staff excellent made you feel welcome from check in . Great to see a toaster and real coffee bags . The whole place looked clean tidy

Sounds pretty and I fully understand why they do it,paper cups instead of pretend china ( hard to keep clean and fresh ).

This room was fantastic. It was very comfortable and had plenty of room to move. There was a proper office chair supplied so that work could be carried out at the bench. The room also had a very comfortable leather recliner to relax watching telly. The bed was very comfortable. This is a terrific place and I would recommend it for travellers going the bast distances in the Queensland outback . I slept well and was rested for my next days long distance travel. loved the mini Oreos too

Close to shops and the Tavern and bottle shop next to it for meals a quick trip to the golf club and not far from Fairbanks Dam was good.

A little outdated only a pull shower curtain where water wet the floor and bath mat and was a little slippery besides that very clean and friendly place to stay and will stay again next time.

Everything! Very clean, staff are lovely. they allow check ins from 12 oclock. they also offer packed lunches! positioned close to everything you could possibly need. Pool was crystal clean and in a shaded area. rooms are spacious and the bed are comfortable!
