Enjoyed the stay here. Check in was smooth and particular attention was given to Covid safe procedures. Key was handed to me from an antibacterial cloth after being cleaned in front of me. Pens also individually cleaned. Room was very clean, lovely linen, kitchen equipment included a cutting board, sharp knife, washing up detergent, cleaning cloth and T towel as well as plates, bowls, cups, wine glasses, water glasses and cutlery. Shower gel, conditioning shampoo and hand wash in eco friendly and convenient (no waste) squeeze dispenser wall mounts. Tissues provided. Lighting was soft and warm and cosy. White fresh walls with panelling a lovely decor touch. Doors slid open conveniently on both sides to create a larger area for small balcony overlooking the water. Beautiful views over the promenade and water. We stayed in room 210. Our bed faced away from the water but if you'd like the reverse so you can lay in bed and look directly out to the water ask for an odd numbered room, 211, 213, would be good. Blind to window facing the entrance walkway was appreciated to block out the light. Would have loved to stay for longer and would definitely stay again. Thanks to the cleaning staff who really do make a huge effort to make everything look, feel and smell clean and lovely. Barbecue facilities and clean and sparkling outdoor pool there for use as well as two indoor spas. Lovely garden to sit outside in and face the water. Close to absolutely everything within walking distance. Chemists, restaurants, cafes, shops, pubs, literally everything. Recommended stay. 👍

Hard to criticise when so many things were given such great attention. If I had to say anything it would be that a shower cap and face washer would have been appreciated. Our room faced the car park side and a fellow parked his truck in the carpark at 4am and sat on idle for half an hour. Hotel staff can't control the behaviour of the general public.

We loved the location of our room, which looked over the river. We could happily watch families walking along and enjoying the lovely, sunny day. My husband spent hours watching the sea plane taking joy rides, almost outside our unit. Location was definitely a winner, plus the practicality and comfort of our room.

While the room has been modernized, the plumbing hasn't. The toilet dripped all night and we had to turn off the feeder tap. The hot water in the basin was difficult to turn on and only dribbled out. However, we passed this information onto the management; which they gratefully received. We were surprised to find that most motels have raised their nightly rate considerably. We used to pay about $120 2 years ago for this type of motel, but now the rate has doubled. We never see any senior rates these days either.

great location, balcony over the river, quiet yet so convenient to shops, plenty of off road parking, bathroom well placed, small kitchen area and good tv with uTube on it. all in all excellent; very clean, well designed both the room and the whole establishment with external lift in v good working order, also noted what seemed to me to be great attention to safety, not only Covid but also to any potential building fires, with very professional fire fighting equipment- all very impressive and my congrats to owner of the building for the attention to detail.

nothing- it was terrific in all respects

We were on thr 3rd floor in room 309. The room had great views of river and surrounding recreational areas. We sat on bed and looked out on this view. We were told that odd numbered rooms had beds that looked towards the water, although all rooms on that floor had the same water views, it’s just the beds that are aligned differently. The motel was only minutes from the Main Street and plenty of shopping, including a good IGA. Just down the river walk is a good coffee joint and bar called the Little Shack. The pool was fine but the spa room with 2 tubs was great.

Great location. Very nice staff. Exceptionally clean. Really enjoyed sitting in the hot tub (enclosed, floor to ceiling windows overlooking the water) watching the sun go down. Amazing water pressure in rain shower. USB chargers by bed. Nice angle view from room. Did the best they could with renovations of an older building.

Noisy plumbing from rooms on either side. Bathroom very small. No sheers on windows so had to keep blackout curtains closed if you didn’t want opposing hotel/apartments looking straight into your room.

February 2023

I passed through Port MacQuarie recently and stayed, for one Saturday night at this nicely located motel. My first impressions were very favourable. My car's Sat nav took me straight to this establishment and, after parking for free in the ample car park, I was very warmly greeted by Ian at the tiny reception desk. He checked me in effortlessly and gave me some tips on where to eat and drink nearby later. My room up on the second floor had a view out over the road and, on the side the car park & my car. The room was fairly simple with a large, comfortable double bed. There was a separate simple but fully functional bathroom. I appreciated the large fridge, kettle, sachets of instant coffee and tea bags. The WiFi worked OK and there were enough plugs to keep the electronically minded traveler happy. I never used the wall mounted flat screen TV. Being a motel there weren't really any significant facilities outside the room. I had my breakfast elsewhere whilst on an early long walk along the coastal path. In fact I only returned ca. 10:00 and had to ask the same Ian at reception if I could prolong my stay long enough to have a quick shower and gather my things together - say 10:30 check out? Usually in such places they ask you to vacate your room on the day of departure at 10:00. So I guess I shouldn't have been too concerned when, a little later, the cleaning lady knocked vigorously on my door. Actually it was 30 minutes later - at 10:30 on the dot. Oh well, I hastily got all my things together and rushed to leave saying a fond farewell to the ever friendly Ian.

The hasty departure, but that was partly my fault for trying to do too much in such a short time in this town

The room was spacious, very clean and comfortable. There was 2 TV's in our room and chairs to sit comfortably in. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The location of the property is fantastic for the waterfront and the town shops.

The lay out of the bathroom was terrible. There wasn't much room to get off the toilet without banging your head on the towel rail and/or the wall. I found I had to leave the bathroom door open so I had room to dry myself after a shower.

Location was excellent. Close to the all shopping etc.

The bathroom was tiny. I managed because I was on my own but if there had been two of us not sure how it would have gone.

location is amazing, right on the water, close to town and walking distance to everything you need. Staff were also super friendly and helpful and gave the property a great family feel.

property is getting dated and could do with an overall deep clean - the age of the property made it appear less clean than it was, mainly just the grouting in the bathrooms. only windows to the room were the sliding balcony doors which had block out curtains only, sheer ones would assist with privacy and fly screen doors would allow better airflow.

The location was exceptional and was very close to the waterfront , park, pubs and cafes. The room had a small balcony with a very pleasant view over the river. The lift and access to the car park were very convenient. Available breakfast delivered to room was a welcome feature for overnight travellers.

Our room was small and was more motel than "apartment". The adjacent room's shower sounded like a jet plane taking off and was quite startling when the occupants decided to shower before dawn! The step down from the en suite was a bit of a shock at first and a potential disaster for the unwary.
