The single rooms were very basic, but were clean & confortable. And as expected with regard to the pricing. The bathrooms & toilet were very clean. The Art Deco decor was beautiful & love that the heritage of this hotel has been retained!

The guest fridge was not working, but was getting fixed the next day. I was travelling with both refrigerated & frozen goods & the staff were accomodating with my needs in another fridge & freezer. Unfortunately the fridge they used was also not working, but the freezer was ok.

Cheap in the centre of town. Everything was provided. Meals in the pub were great. Exceptional staff. Couldn't believe we were staying in the oldest hotel. The pictures on the walls are a snippet of the struggle. Chris was outstanding. Go there now before the renovations. Port Macquarie is a beautiful place with a magnificent climate and wonderful staff.

No air-conditioning, but that will be provided in the near future. Fans were enough for sleeping at 24 degrees.

We booked the King room, spacious, more like an apartment with a separate bedroom and own bathroom, loved the 'bygone days' feel of the accommodation, restaurant was roomy, quiet and welcoming, we would have had breakfast there had it been available. The bed was super comfy. If you are looking for trendy, modern accommodation its not for you, but if you are looking to travel back to a simpler time and not expect plastic perfection this hotel definitely ticks all the boxes..

For the price it was great value, pretty clean, comfy beds and good sized bathrooms. Communal kitchen with basic appliances was a nice touch. Room heating was great & staff were friendly and helpful. They were happy to accomodate to our late night check in time & we were able to park for free. Would definitely stay here again if we were to head back down this way

Clean room, spacious bathroom and very comfortable bed. Great location and easy parking. Recommend the dining room. Beautiful old pub and the upstairs veranda was great.

Fly screen broken and tv had lines on it. No biggie because there was so much to do. Fan only worked on the high speed.

Great Location! Less than 50m from the water. Room was pretty standard for a small pub room. Bed was comfortable enough. No AC but wasn’t hot enough to use it anyway.

TV didn’t work, but I didn’t need it so no big issue & no AC and the only window opened above the smoking area.

We liked that its location was central. We liked we could walk everywhere----

that our room was directly above the noise that went til midnight. ------we didn't sleep til midnight and we had to drive 12 hours the next day-----that was not fun.

Great bed. Clean and comfortable. Loved the age of the hotel. The art deco design and historical feel was wonderful. Loved the outrageous carpets and the feel of peace in the building.

It would be great to restore the building properly. The art deco design is a great start but the toilets and paintwork need work. I hope they get the finance to make the old girl exquisite again.

very clean the bed was so comfortable, we had a private bathroom and a veranda which was lovely to sit out on , and watch the people go by , close to everything

Great Locataiin, staff all friendly and efficient, fantastic value for money, definately will stay here again and can highly recomend it to all types of travellers
