N1 Hotel Samora Machel Harare

In a great central location in downtown Harare, the NI chain of hotels offers excellent value. (the Samora Machel designation refers to the avenue on which this one is located, to distinguish it from a second N1 hotel in Harare.) Breakfast was basic but provided exactly what I needed, and the staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful. It is actually amazing that such a nice hotel is able to exist in a country with so many economic challenges.

I stayed here for four nights and found nothing to complain about. On the contrary ...

Very nice location near the city center, easy walk there. From the higher floor rooms nice view over the surrounding areas. N1 chain seems to be a very good chain of hotels. Safety box very good. Value for money. Very friendly staff.

Although some people say there's cockroaches, I didn't see any in my room, neither any other pests. The room was nice large, but a bit empty, some more furniture would make the room even more comfy. The room interior was grey. With the next renovation, you could add some color in the rooms and maybe some decorative items here and there to show, in which country we are. Some noise from the street, but is understandable this close to the center. No problem with that. The other N1 chain hotel on the same long street is named Rotten Row... Although it describes the street location, I would change the name immediately, gives a VERY BAD first impression with such a name, turns people away outright!!

Big room, comfortable bed, 3 TV channels. Nice breakfast, easy check-in and check out. Friendly staff Walking distance to city center. One block away of a gas station with Chicken Inn, Pizza Inn, and two more food chains. Two block away from Nando's (Portuguese style chicken)

Uncomfortable pillows. Rooms need heating (too cold inside in winter).

The staff were remarkably friendly, professional, polite and helpful!

There was a tiny miscommunication. When we tried to upgrade our room. One person told us something and we were happy with the arrangement but when they changed shifts, the person we ended up dealing with told us that he couldn't honour the agreement because he believed it was a mistake.

They explain to the guests that you have to pay for breakfast it's not included in your room charge because when tell guests that you offer breakfast they don't expect to pay

Misleading information about breakfast and as booked 2 rooms but when I booked it shows that they offer breakfast but didn't mention it's extra charge

The hotel was simple, clean and convenient. Definitely good value for anyone on a limited budget. The staff were fantastic - very welcoming, friendly and professional.

A fridge in the room would be useful. Also a small bar in the reception or breakfast room area (just beer and soft drinks would be OK) would be a bonus.

We were getting lost but were able to call and we were directed and welcomed so warmly Friendly staff.Room was very neat and clean the food at the restuarant excellent enjoyed my breakfast.

Loved N1, it was comfortable the staff was welcoming (i remember Stewart helped me with a lot) , very clean and quite environment too, the rooms where excellent and location was the best! well served breakfast

The staff are great. Our flights were cancelled due to weather conditions and we advised the hotel who were helpful moving the booking to the date we were arriving.

Location was near eateries as well as town area for bars and clubs.

The room could have done with the addition of a small fridge to keep our drinks cold..or a ice 🪣 🧊 It was ideal for what was needed of it. See you in 13months when I come back..lol
