Econo Lodge Civic Center

this was the lowest priced motel at the time we booked, yet the room was as comfy as any other higher priced. There was a fridge, coffee maker, continental breakfast with pastries and bagels and cereal. The rooms were not noisy in spite of being near a highway. It was easy to find because it was next to the highway. Staff were fine and efficient. We didn't have any special requests, so we cannot speak to how the staff would react in such a situation. There were plenty of other businesses around for eating, etc. close to Amtrak and museum.

Probably not a great neighborhood for walking at night, but otherwise no negatives.

Everything was clean, the host was very accommodating, the other guests were quite. The facilities were centrally located for easy access to downtown and the freeways. I can't recommend enough! Don't pay attention to earlier reviews, I think management has changed, and has made efforts to rebrand this hotel.

There was nothing to dislike. I was quite happy, and feel that the price I paid was less than what a room/location like that would get me elsewhere.

The location was very convenient. Owners were amazing, funny, and helpful to us. Our room was very clean. We reserved this last minute because of a storm, and this was affordable, so we decided to pull off interstate on our way home to Vermont. I'm so glad we did. Highly recommend. July 2023 We also could see the famous star and cathedral from the balcony.

Absolutely nothing. Great place.

Overall the stay was excellent. The room was neat & clean and the owners made it extra comfortable. They personally made sure all things are to the best. It was like a home away from home. The location is quite convenient, Subway and Starbucks is at a stones throw and the downtown is just 2 miles away. I enjoyed the stay and will re-book the next time.

I stayed here for 1night. Got there and it looked nice. Check inn was very smooth. The man checking me in was very nice. Engaged me in conversation. Very professional. The rooms were clean beds comfortable water pressure great and hot water it was quiet and felt safe. Check out was great the woman checking me out was sooo polite. Professional she asked me if I was happy with my room and if there was anything they should know about and if there was anything they could do to improve! It was a breath of fresh air. Customer service is a 100 percent I have stayed at a lot of hotels but this one by far was outstanding Would stay again and recommend it.

Nothing everything was great

The hotel was very clean and the staff was extremely friendly. It is a great value and the price is very reasonable. It is a continental breakfast but the coffee was hot and fresh and the juice machine was operational. I have stayed in more expensive hotels and juice machines broken down.

I can't say there was anything I didn't like. The owners/managers take great pride in what they do.

This was a remarkable experience, and a great bargain! The owner and his son were polite and engaging. Like talking to two old friends. I was late to my meeting at the conference because it was so pleasant to discuss life and the hotel with them.

It was all perfect. Great quiet room, clean and comfy bed.

For known location and hotel brand honestly it def wasn't bad. Felt safe. No sketchy people. Clean. Lots of cheaper hotels in area have the issue of being basically trap hotels. This didn't have that aura or obv signs of ppl lingering around. Staff was genuinely friendly which always nice and hard to find even at Hiltons lol

This was a very nice hotel. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Due to COVID-19, they didn’t have a breakfast buffet, but instead, every guest got an individual bagged breakfast. It shows they did care about their guests. The pillows were the best I ever saw. It turned out I could buy one, but I had no room in my car (driving a long way, taking a lot). I’ll be back there on my return trip, for sure!

Rooms were basic but very clean...is IS an Econo Lodge, after all. Beds were comfortable, microwave and fridge were clean. Plenty of towels. The old-style parking directly outside one's room is still very convenient for quick loading/unloading.

Something the motel cannot control - the location and the road noise that accompanies it. The motel is directly off a main route through the city, and the sound at night could bother light sleepers. Bring earplugs if you qualify as one.
