Hampton Inn Cortland

The morning of the day that we checked in, I received a phone call from the front desk, asking what kind of room I preferred and any specific location. when I checked into the room, It had a special screen on the TV that said “Welcome, Amanda” it made our stay feel very personal Our double queen room was very spacious as was the bathroom . 3/4 of the outlets in the room had two plugs and two USB ports for charging, which was convenient. The pool was the perfect size and was heated. There were tables and chairs to sit and relax at. No complaints about the Continental breakfast. The service at the front desk was exceptional and we will definitely be staying there again.

The location was good. The woman at the front desk was great. We had a handicap accessible room and it was very spacious. The room was as clean as one can expect of a place constantly used. Some reviewers said the place was dirty, not so. Let’s all remember that every business is understaffed and the people who do show up are doing double duty for the most part. Our hope is that they are getting a decent wage. Let’s, also go the extra mile by picking up after ourselves, being kind to the staff whether in a restaurant, store or hotel. Our shower had some smudges on the wall, I wiped it with a wash cloth, no big deal! The hotel was very nice.

My husband and I were pleased with our room. Based on the location (we had stayed at the Red Roof Inn in the past - horrible hotel) I was afraid to go to our room. But once we opened the door I was very pleased with the cleanliness and spaciousness of the room. Wish it had a freezer in the fridge for ice packs.

Maybe find a way to keep us from hearing the doors from other rooms closing. Every time a door closed on our floor it was very loud. Thankfully we had ear plugs to help us sleet through it.

Breakfast was great! Our room was a king handicapped accessible, so the 4 of us had plenty of room.

The hotel was great, but I didn't like paying $370 for 1 night. My son was in a track meet at the college, so we didn't have much choice.

Breakfast was good - Corona style. Nice variety considering everything had to be prepackaged. Although we had to book a time slot for the pool, it was nice having it all to ourselves.

I had asked for rooms to be interconnected. There was a door between the rooms but it was unworkable. One side worked but the other side did not. The room with the 2 beds - the little night stand in between them under the lamp - someone had clearly ever trimmed their hair or had used an electric razor or something and there were little hairs all over it. No curtain to close

Nice modern hotel, friendly staff, spacious room, fabulous shower/ bathroom and a really good breakfast.

This hotel was exceptionally clean. The bed and pillows were comfortable. East walking distance into town and easy driving to Cortland Rep theatre out at Little York Lake

It was great, no complaints

Excellent, clean, modern. I had a king room which was amazing! Such friendly staff. Hotel is conveniently located. Large hot continental breakfast. Great indoor pool.. I usually stay at the Fairfeild Inn on 281 but found the Hampton Inn much nicer and will be staying here from now on!!

There wasn't anything I didn't like

Quiet, spacious room, with a nice view from third floor window. Very comfortable, with sofa, sitting chair, a chair table, and desk, with a chair, in the room, aside from the king bed, and side tables, with charging ports.

The bathroom was nice. Could have had a nice tub, or two person jacuzzi, instead of the large shower, with one shower head. And the water kept getting cold while I was showring.

Nice breakfast....well maintained.

T V and telephone not working. John fixed the TV and gave us complimentary cookies (very good)he baked them himself. Also complimentary water. He was very pleasant although he was so busy. I did not see any other help...seems he was running the show.
