Seaview, A Dolce Hotel

This was a great choice for a family vacation with our children and young grandchildren. The hotel is in very good condition and on the posh side, but not so posh that young families do not feel at ease. It was especially helpful to have booked a gigantic premier suite so we could all hang out together in private at night. The hotel also allows dogs, but I was amazed at how dog-friendly it was! We were even able to have our dogs sit with us at the outdoor pool (although not dive in, of course!) The a la carte breakfast, not included, was very good, but the breakfast buffet (available only on the weekend for $22 starting Fri morning) was SENSATIONAL… a chef making omelettes to order, along with a vast, mouthwatering selection of fresh fruit, pastries, bacon, sausage, potatoes, and other delicacies all made in house, I presume! There was an adorable ice cream parlor called Lindy Hops only a short drive away. Also several great family restaurants, including Oyster Creek and Romanelli’s Garden Cafe nearby. We do not golf, but we had so much fun, and so did the kids. Cannot wait to return next year!

The outdoor pool was very large, attractive, and never crowded while we were there, but the water in it was actually much too warm — like bath water. Maybe it was due to the heat wave during our stay. It was also a bit of a drive to get to the beach (Brigantine Beach, the closest one, was about 20 minutes away). At least free beach passes were provided by the hotel… and to our surprise we were able to let our dogs off leash on the dog beach at the very far end of Brigantine because almost no one else was there during the week.

It's a beautiful hotel. The staff is friendly and the food was delicious. The room was perfect and the bed was extremely comfortable. We have booked our next stay there already.

It was a little expensive. This time of year they should be offering deals.

The hotel is beautiful, good location. Located near a golf court, boardwalk and ocean city. Our room is pretty spacious, especially the bathroom. It is important for family with kids.

We had breakfast in the dining room, but very disappointed for the food quality. I ordered a Lox sandwich, it comes with cucumber, lettuce. The cucumber spoiled obviously, it was very slimy and disgusting. The lettuce and the smoke salmon not fresh at all. I had a bite and needed to spit it out. One of my kid ordered the avocado toast, he tried one bite of the toast and said the toast smelly. End up we didn’t eat anything from our dishes. Very disappointed. Our room is basically clean but there was soda stain on the door and also some cluster in the shower floor.

I know the hotel is old historically but some rooms are really far from elevators, of course there is stairway access Outside pool closed at our stay but would have been nice to have tables out there to sit at A little musty smell in lobby upon arrival

I ordered dinner from the restaurant and loved the chicken Parmigiano, however the clams casino was disgusting and poorly presented. The Caesar salad was a good portion but not outstanding and lacked anchovies for a traditional Caesar salad. They did not give bread and butter for the chicken parmigiana. The bathrooms were beautiful with marble floors and very clean! The towels were high quality and plush. The bath gel smelled very nice. The beds were so comfortable along with goose down pillows. There was plenty of lighting in the room as well as a walk-in closet to store things and hang clothing. All of the staff were very accommodating and friendly.

The check-in time was advertised as a "4:00pm" check-in on the contrary, over the few days I was there I witnessed many people checking in earlier. Everything else was exemplary and the staff really made the entire experience delightful. The entire staff were excellent from arrival to departure in every department!!!

Seaview has always been one of our gp to spots and they provided an exceptional experience this time. The property recently received a needed remodel and it looks wonderful. All facilities were exceptionally clean. They added a fire pit where we enjoyed a cocktail after golf. The location is beautiful and convenient. We had massages at the Hard Rock in Atlantic City, then drove to Cape May for dinner (45 minutes) that evening. The next day we had breakfast in Ocean City and walked the boards. Golf at Seaview was outstanding. The course is in great condition. We also dined at Seaview one night. My short rib and his salmon were delicious. I really cannot say enough good about this outstanding property! When we consider a stay at the Jersey shore, Seaview is always on our short list!

We can’t wait until COVID is in the rear view mirror. (No reflection on this hotel which was exceptionally clean.) Another comment unrelated to this hotel- After golf at Seaview we thought we’d check out “The 19th hole” for a cocktail. I guess slipping into a socially distanced table steps away from the bar and not checking with the hostess was the wrong move. No greeting from the bartenders who could clearly see us and no one came over. We finally left and enjoyed a cocktail at Seaview’s fire pit and dinner there.

We went out for Breakfast, and coffee there were no options on the property to get something quick. We tried to stay for dinner but were told we could not due to catering and large dinner parties.

The rates have increased for room $449. and golf $357 for me and my sons. I am a rewards member and was surprised that there was no discount.

The beautiful interior changes are really evident. It’s absolutely gorgeous again! I loved the ability to check in early because the room was ready, loved access to late night food and snacks, loved the friendly helpful people at the desk and the total feeling of safety returning late, even though I was alone. And of course, the well stocked Keurig in the room!

Not a thing, it was perfect.

clean and quiet. close to ac but peaceful

i slammed my finger in the back doors to the parking lot. the doors are heavy and slam fast and hard! closet door didn’t seem to work correctly. bathroom door needs a kickstand because I hate having it completely closed. very few towels at both pool locations. tub water brown/yellow the last night.

The location was perfect for our needs....it was close to the restaurant where we wanted to eat and close enough to our final destination to assure a timely arrival.

The afternoon bartender on July 1 should be relieved of his duties....he was awful, clearly had no time for "older" patrons, was rude to my daughter and made a lousy Manhattan to boot.
