Bucksport Inn

Very clean, tidy, well though out rooms. Updates have been made to modernize and make the motel lovely. I appreciated the pet policy at check-in to ensure all guests with dogs followed the same guidelines. The towel with dog paw in the bathroom was a very cute touch. There's a fantastic outdoor space in the back with lots of seating, string lights, and I think fire pits. We stayed 1 nigh ton our way home from the Maritimes and it was a perfect resting place.

To run the AC efficiently, you need to open the curtains a bit and the window tops aren't frosted. Blinds or window frosting/film would be an easy fix.

The new owners have done a fabulous job of renovating this little Inn that sits in downtown Bucksport. The rooms have a retro downeast feel and are very comfortable, complete with mini fridge. Our bed was super comfortable, the hotel was quiet, and overall a wonderful value considering the area and time of year we visited. The staff was very nice and there is not one bad thing we have to say about our 3 day visit here. We loved it!

Great little place in an ideal location. Not a bad price for where it is located and are able to walk to get food or do little shopping. Can walk right to Hannafords or dunks. Then jump on the river walk for an evening stroll. The owners are super friendly and are usually right there or around if you need anything

Would be nice to have some sort of hot plate inside to maybe cook on but I can see the insurance liability so the grills charcoal grills outside are a neat feature so nothing really negative

Owners in the store. Makes a huge difference. Great value, very clean, everything I needed. And it was so quiet I overslept. I have run a restaurant nearby for over 40 years. I have always referred customers to the Bucksport Motor Inn based mainly on glowing reviews from past customers at the inn. I needed a room myself overnight to escape construction at my house. So glad I got the chance to see for myself. Look forward to sending many more customers their way. Highly recommended!

Exceptionally clean. Witha comfy bed, quiet even this close to the road, parking right out front, 15 minute walk to town.

Very minor: Door? to unit below shook the bed repeatedly when slammed. The bathroom mirror is too high for short people. I’m 5’3” and could barely see my face.

Bucksport Motor Inn does not look like much from the outside, but the staff is always friendly, and the rooms are spacious and airy while also being well decorated in neutral tones. The beds were extremely comfortable, and I could have slept forever.

Nothing, was a perfect stay

One bedroom cabins with deck with a great view facing Penobscot Bay. Lots of space. Decent kitchen. Grills and picnic tables on property. Overall a nice location with lots of space. Better than staying in a regular hotel at the same price.

Poor quality construction. Floors not level. Had to prop doors open with rocks inside. Very poor job finishing sheet rock. They must have slapped them together quickly using unskilled labor. Unpaved road and parking adjacent unit - floors not clean (dirt tracked in from outside)

We liked the little sitting are outside our room and that we could park our car in front of the door for ease of loading and unloading. The grocery store was also within walking distance.

The bathtub was very narrow and the light switch on the outside of the door. I woke my friend when I had to use it early in the morning.

Owners were extremely nice and welcoming. Parking was so so close and the rooms were recently restored and very clean. We found out the beautiful tile in the bathrooms was original. I love how they embraced the charm of the building with colors and the cute retro fridge instead of making it a modern mess.

No complaints at all! We'll be back next year.

Staff was wonderful, the room was very clean-spotless actually. We were not expecting much because of the price and because it is a motel not a hotel, but this place was perfect and exceeded our expectations! We will be coming back next week and will be looking to stay here again. For the price,this place far exceeds it's value and worth every penny and then some!

AC was a window AC and a little loud, but nothing that wasn't expected. Many ACs are on the louder side. O the bright side it did keep us nice and cooling the hot days.
