Courtyard by Marriott St. Louis West County

I absolutely love how friendly the staff were. I was a front desk lead at a 5 star hotel for over 3 years and I know first hand how to spot out things. I was blown away by their courtesy and outstanding customer service. My check in was a breeze. I was greeted as soon as I stepped in and that was every time I walked passed their front desk. The two guys who checked me in engaged in conversation as far as were I was from and what brought me into town to visit. My checkout was quick and easy as well. It was also one lady who worked 2nd shift Saturday at the front desk was just the sweetest ever. I would most definitely be staying there again.

This is a long post... When I made this reservation, I put in a silly request for a Jurassic Park picture that told my 4 year old happy birthday. When we arrived after 12 hours of driving, there was a picture on the outside of our door of a Jurassic Park dinosaur and a Happy Birthday message. Inside, there were gift bags full of goodies and a birthday card from the staff! We were blown away at the time that was actually taken to make my son's birthday special! That absolutely made our entire trip! The room was wonderful and the people we great, but it was the above and beyond that sold us on Marriot forever!

There was nothing that we weren't completely pleased with.

Beds were comfortable, clean, good water pressure in shower.

The air conditioner would go off during the day and we would come back to a hot room. The air didn’t have a constant option due to it being energy efficient so the room would not stay very cool at night time. We had absolutely no problems except for the energy efficient thermostat. For the price you pay for this nice hotel and room we would expect the air to work however we want it.

Room was nice, staff was friendly, location was perfect for our trip.

I was disappointed that for our $195 dollars, the hotel did not provide a complementary breakfast or decent coffee in the morning. We’ve stayed at other Marriott hotels in the past, but apparently I forgot that you have to pay for breakfast. I think that Marriott should revisit this practice. I will likely look at other hotels in the future (and there are many other quality options).

It was quiet and peaceful. When the faucet in the bathroom exploded we had a mess. Luckily my husband was able to turn off the water so we avoided major flooding. Though a maintenance man did not come for 2 hrs so we were not able to use the sink. When he came he was very friendly and resolved the issue. We had to ask for more towels (we used all of the towels for cleaning up the water) and the room was not cleaned (granted we didn’t ask for the bathroom to be cleaned-we just assumed it would be because of the mess. We did receive a free night and complimentary coffee.

The bed and sofa bed were both comfortable, the shower was great. The staff were all polite and friendly! Overall I'd say I would recommend it for a short stay.

The toilet gave up after my boyfriend used it once. The TV was slower than the computers at my job though and that is saying something.

Breakfast was really good, and because our room was a double booked, we were upgraded and it was fantastic!! The kids wished we would have stayed another couple of days! And the staff was very helpful! They brought up a hair dryer and also extra blankets for one more of our kids.

I loved the breakfast, but there weren’t too many basic options for my picky kids. And the pool towels were out, but I had no problem getting more at the desk.

Loved the room I even had a good view I'm big on good views. Room was very clean loved how friendly the staff was. Bathroom was very nice. Loved the indoor pool

That I was only able to go through the front because my key wouldn't work on the doors closer to my room so it was a very far walk coming in from a night out and inebriated never knew how out of shape I was till then lol

Clean, clean, clean! Comfortable bed, area to purchase snacks, microwave and alcohol!! Loud children above me! The hotel itself was great. Would have preferred a room without children above.

All was good for me and close to shopping.

it was very clean and quiet. the staff was wonderful and overall our stay was perfect. the location was great and easy to access many of the attractions and restaurants we were interested in.

I can’t think of anything we were dissatisfied with. it’s a wonderful motel and would choose it again.
