Hampton Inn Columbus/South-Fort Benning

Me and my family stayed here for my son's Army graduation for 4 days, this place is just perfect. Very clean, nice pool very quiet, staff were very friendly and helpful all the time. I definitely will come back.

Love everything about this place.

The front desk clerk, Jamisha (I hope I remembered her name correctly! We checked in 8/26/22.) was outstanding! Her attitude, and personality was so friendly, and open. She greeted my party as if we were old friends, and by the time she got us checked in, and gave us the spiel on the property, and amenities, and sent us on our way, we felt like we were. Everyone who works in this establishment were all so friendly, professional, welcoming, and so nice. At no point did we walk past the front desk, and were not greeted warmly by an employee with a smile. I don't know if I will ever be in Ft. Benning again, but if I am, I will definitely stay at The Hampton Inn South Ft. Benning. The property was clean, and smelled nice (it smelled like clean, not like cleaners), was brightly lit, and well maintained. The rooms were fairly spacious, and clean, and had plenty of towels. While the fridge could be a bit bigger, it was not an issue. We had a double queen, and it was perfect for my sister, and me. The proximity to post was what attracted us to book there, but the employees, the property, and especially the price is what made our stay memorable, and comfortable. The free continental breakfast was good. There were a few choices of juices, pastries/breads, eggs, meats, cereal, both hot and cold, and a seemingly endless supply of freshly brewed coffee. They offered the fresh coffee throughout the day, as well as hot water for teas, and cocoas. Bonus! They offered fresh chocolate chip cookies in the evening. That, I thought, was a very friendly touch that helps us weary travelers feel at home, and welcomed. We were very pleased all the way around, and I will certainly be telling anyone who is going to that area to book a stay here! A HUGE thank you to all the wonderful employees of Hampton Inn South Fort Benning for all of their hard work in taking care of us all. Y'all are amazing!

I loved the fact that it was so close to one of the Fort Benning entry points. It only took about 2 minutes to actually get on base. I had the king size sweet and it was amazing. Plenty of room I arrived around 1130 and the two ladies upfront were very helpful and gave me great instructions.

my overall experience was good. The only thing I would say is that don’t be discouraged when you see a whole bunch of garbage by the elevators it’s just because people put the garbage out there to be picked up in the morning.

Location was convenient for the graduation that we were attending next door. It was close to the base and easy to park. The breakfast was good with a variety of choices. The staff was very friendly and very helpful.

The carpet in my room was sticky and the bed skirt had a large stain. I also found a used cloth face mask inside my pillow case from a prior guest. That tells me they did not change the pillow cases from the pervious guest and that is concerning.

I have to give a huge shout out to the lovely ladies at breakfast. They truly were the best. One was celebrating her birthday that week. I spent more time visiting with her. I wish I knew her name. She deserves a raise in my opinion. We stayed all week and I just loved them. The other front staff was also very kind and helpful. We used the laundry facility and it was clean and wonderful.

On our second night a mans car was stolen out of the parking lot so we were a little more alert of everything from that point on which wasn’t a bad thing. We did notice a bug in our room on our last night but it was 3am and we were leaving to get a jump start to avoid the rush hour traffic so I didn’t get to say anything to the staff. It won’t keep us from staying again in the future because we did see a company spraying the day earlier.

Location was perfect for our plans attending Ft Benning Memorial Day ceremony and Paver dedication I placed for my husband who passed last Sept. Facility clean and staff friendly.

Toilet plunger kept sticking but no problem as I would adjust each time. I didn’t want to bother staff but reported after leaving for next guest.

beautiful property exceptionally well maintained located right outside of base near the infantry museum. staff was pleasant, welcoming, & helpful. the interior was exquisitely decorated & spotless. every detail was thought of including a nightlight in the bathroom, cookies in the afternoon, coffee/tea/hot cocoa available at all times, & elegantly folded towels.

we loved everything about it. a hot tub or heating the pool would be a great addition

Mostly really good breakfast, really good on weekends. Right next to National Infantry Museum where Ft Benning Basic Trainees graduate for family members. Really excellent staff and very comfortable beds and remarkable showers (just so much hot water at high pressure!)

Very pricy even using budget reservation sites such as booking.com, expedia, priceright, etc. Also a ridiculous amount of taxes and fees shoved on top of that as well. Our stay ran over $200 a night! It was more than our air fare, not good.

I liked the location and the room was nice and appeared clean.

We used a black light and discovered that the bathroom was actually disgusting. It was not as clean as it should have been. I like to soak in the tub but under the black it was so disgusting that I had to wear shower shoes to even take a shower.

All of the staff was very friendly, and the beds were very comfortable.

The bathtub had a huge crack on the bottom that separated when you stepped in. The room should not have been rented until this was fixed.
