Hyatt Place Tampa Busch Gardens

This was a lovely hotel. I had a huge room with a kitchenette (microwave, sink, fridge) a seating area and then the bedroom area and bathroom. I was here for 2 nights and quite happy staying in the first night with a room picnic bought from the garage/gas station next door. It had a huge range of food, snacks, drinks etc. Bed was comfortable, I slept really well. There were no problems with parking, there were always empty spaces. It's just tucked off the main road but close to lots of amenities and close to Busch Gardens. Swimming pool looked clean and inviting.

Great staff, they are always smlie and helpful. Especially Mr. Sam at the reception desk. When we checked in at 1 am, he was very welcoming, chatted and helped get boiling water to make instant noodles. Very convenient location, quiet, next to USF, near restaurants, gas stations, supermarkets, large parking lot...

Breakfast has no more change in 15 days I stayed, a little boring, but I know its American's breakfast.

While the area is a bit sketchy for our taste, the Hotel was fine. The staff was amazingly accommodating and friendly. Jeffery at the bar was awesome and very happy to be there. Again, the area is a bit run down but it was close to Busch Gardens and that was all we needed. The Hotel was clean and not run down so we will stay again.

The area was scary to walk through at night so we did not. We stayed put and only went out in the day time. It is not the fault of the Hotel as they can't control the area.

The room set up was a bit strange, but adequate for my grandson & me. Comfortable bed. Staff was great!!!

The breakfast was disappointing. Bagels were the only bread. Eggs were hard boiled & cold. Only hot food was make your own waffle. Only fruit was banana. We decided to eat breakfast out after first day. Carpets need cleaning or replaced...ick!

The transportation to the park and back was fantastic. Falah in particular was helpful and provided excellent service. Our ride to the park was also great as well as all of the staff on arrival and throughout our stay. Overall the stay was comfortable and breakfast was pretty good despite Covid restrictions. I would definitely stay there again!

Well, our room for whatever reason smelled a bit like onions had been stored in there for a while. It took some time with the fan on to clear that out but it remained throughout the stay. It wasn't too big of a deal but it is worth mentioning.

Clean, friendly staff, quiet, excellent breakfast.

Always ran out of coffee in the morning and was in a less than desirable area of the city. It is tucked away, but you have to go through the city and to get to it and although Tampa seems to be cleaning the area up, it has a way to go still. The location was conveniently close to retail and restaurants about a couple of blocks away in the nicer part of the city.

The location was close to everything we wanted to do. They do have a shuttle service to save on gas while your stay. We attended the parks, museums, and a couple restaurants. The staff was accommodating and friendly. The family rooms were perfect size for a family of 3. The overall cleanliness of facility was great, thank the cleaning staff for that. Definitely better than the other hotels in the area if traveling with kids.

The elevator happened to breakdown the first night there and didn't get fixed in a timely manner. Those were the only ones available to use, very inconvenient taking stairs to 4th floor with small children. Beds need to be updated for being a Hyatt these were the most uncomfortable beds we've ever slept on. Also, the linens need to be overturned after each stay not just made to look nice, no one wants bloody sheets to sleep on. Overall the hotel accommodates fairly well with breakfast, a small convient store purchase area and pool. The general area is a bit sketchy at night so don't leave anything in your vehicles.

The breakfast was nice, but disappointed there were no eggs or meats. They were closing up and putting food away at 9:40am, so some of my family was not able to have most items after waiting in line for waffle maker. Breakfast was supposed to be available til 10am.

The shower was slow to drain, leaving a couple inches of water when finished with showering. A/C unit was noisy all night, was hard to sleep. We wanted to take the shuttle to and from Busch Gardens, but it was told by it was not available to bring us back to the hotel after 6pm due to not having a driver to accommodate. Was disappointed that the shuttle service was not running until park closing for return. The front desk attendant Michael , although very pleasant and helpful, suggested we get an Uber to return after 9 pm. With it being a holiday, we were surprised to not have that benefit available.

I had a procedure at Moffitt Cancer Center McKinley Outpatient Center and needed a quiet, clean room to recover in. The room was ready when I got there, and very clean and comfortable. Everything I needed was right there. Not being able to eat the whole day, I was starved, and not wanting to drive anywhere, my husband and I ate at the restaurant right outside the hotel. It was perfect and food was very good. This will definately be my go-to for future visits. Thank you to the hotel staff for accomodating my wishes for a quiet room away from the elevator!

The front desk person were ver friendly and helpful.

My room wasn’t has clean the bedding didn’t look they were changed my kids and myself were itchy all night! Found dog hair on my bed we all have allergies and asthma. It has make us some how difficult. I suggested part of the hotel for pet Owens the other part for people who are highly allergic!
