Hotel Zero Degrees Norwalk

Excellent hotel.

It would be nice to have a possibility to buy breakfast from the hotel. (However there was an excellent breakfast place Cafe Dolce nearby).

the hotel was very modern and clean. the staff was very friendly and the location was very convenient. there was an amazing Thai restaurant just down the street.

As many people do today, we travel with our dog. I chose this hotel because it was pet friendly and had a great rating. Unfortunately for me, the rate for the dog was not explicit on the website or the booking so when I checked in I was surprised and disappointed to be charged $100 on top of the room rate. This is not a refundable deposit, it’s the rate. I can certainly understand and appreciate a pet fee but $100 was a little much. It would be helpful if you would disclose this information on your website.

What I needed was a time of total peace and quiet after a stressful move. I was concerned about cleanliness and quiet, and the hotel room was very clean and quiet. My room was on the road side, and I was never bothered at all by road noise. When I arrived to register at the front desk I was greeted in a welcoming and helpful manner, which, after a rough day was comforting. I have lived most my life in a neighboring community and had been curious about this hotel for visitors. I would definitely recommend it and maybe one day I’ll treat myself again to a stay there.

Maybe this will sound weird... but the toilet was way too low, like for a young child

Wehn we arrived we were a bit sceptical when looking at the outsie. But as soon as we entered the building the positive vibes were there. Very nice lobby, with a large lobbyroom adjacent to it where one can sit in peace and read or work (as we did). Free coffee, fruits, etc were available there. The windows to the back of the hotel were amazing with nice trees and a small river. The restaurant with bar next to this sitting area was cozy with good quality. We had a nice dinner there and the staffing was impeccable.

Not much to improve actually.

I loved how comfy the beds were. The rooftop lounge was amazing and so relaxing.

I didn't pay attention to the fact the restaurant was not currently open. I know COVID plays a part but wish they had a bar and restaurant so I wouldn't have to go out to get food. But I also didn't pay attention when booking the room. Can't wait for the restaurant to open!

The location was convenient.

The King Room was a little weird. The Tv was attached to the bed, so there was no escaping a TV if that was not your thing. The room is a bit oddly decorated, kinda. like a bad 70's artist. No bar of soap in the bathroom is annoying. They only had shower gel soap which is a body wash that is not real soap! The walls seemed a little thin in terms of hearing our neighbors. However, we brought a white noise machine that solved that issue.

Good rooms, friendly staff and good area to work or relax near the lobby. I chose this hotel for work as it isn't far from the office. This is one of the best hotels around this area.

Due to CoVid there was only a limited offering for breakfast (i believe that this included: fruits, small packages of microwaveable oat flakes, coffee, chocolate and tea). There is basically no way to get a proper breakfast if you need to be in the office early in the morning. Hope that the breakfast offering will be back soon.

The property was clean and the staff was amazing.

My only complaint was the mattress. My boyfriend and I had such a nice time but we both agreed the beds had to go. We both had back pain and unfortunately did not sleep very well. As soon as I laid on the bed I knew it would be a problem. Aside from that the hotel was great. Great staff. Super clean. It was my birthday weekend and to celebrate we also had dinner at the restaurant downstairs and the food was delicious . The staff at the bar was so nice. Truly a great stay aside from the bed situation.

The staff was AMAZING. My Husband and I really like when we aren't bombarded and they were pleasant but not overbearing. Last minute, I noticed they did a romance package and asked the staff if I could add it on to surprise my husband because we were away for the weekend for our anniversary. And they made those accommodations in an hours notice. It was so adorable with the tealights, real roses and a bottle of champagne/glasses. The bed was SO comfortable and the bath/shower was so relaxing. I saw some reviews about the noise of the train but it DID NOT bother us or wake us at all. We really loved the river view, the large windows and how clean and modern everything was. No clutter whatsoever. It was a very unique location with lots of shops and stores around you. We spent the day in Westport and the little town with all kinds of shops were cute. The kuerig was a great addition to the room. We definitely plan to come back even if covid is still limiting things.

Overall, our stay was wonderful. The only thing I didn't like was that the roof top wasn't open and it didn't say anything about that online. However, I totally understand given the circumstances why it wasn't. Covid and gatherings etc. Once everything is back to normal(hopefully soon) I'd love to come back because I bet the sunset is gorgeous up there with a glass of wine or some drinks. If they had EVERYTHING open that they offered this place would be an amazing place. I highly recommend it here.

very modern hotel you would not be able to tell from the outside I’ve never stayed in anything but a king room so my review is from that perspective and the king room with the pull out sofa bed even though I have not used the sofa bed I only stay in that room because it has the view of the water fountain or whatever that is in the back it’s beautiful it’s gorgeous I just love it there it’s extraordinarily peaceful and sometimes when I just want to get away and relax it’s my favorite place for a little staycation

The fact that you have to ask for every single thing. if I want a robe I need to ask for it if I need a microwave I need to ask for it. there’s really no room service. and there’s no food I think they have like fruits and when I mean fruits I only saw an apple. However they do have a restaurant keep in mind it is closed on Mondays I haven’t eaten there so I do not know how good it is or isn’t
