Americas Best Value Inn Tahoe City

The best thing was the location!! I loved being within walking distance of the beach and restaurants!! I also appreciated that my room was relatively quiet! The accommodations and service met my expectations and I don't feel I like need more. It was perfect for my budget. I'm a bit concerned that with new ownership the prices will go up and I'll be priced out of this location.

The outside upstairs walkways were a bit concerning. I was a bit worried about whether they were structurally sound. I'm not sure if I would have used the pool, but my friends were disappointed that it wasn't open.

I have been staying here for the last 20 plus yrs...if I'm not at a friend's house in Truckee or renting a Cabin .It's always a good value $wise,great location,the staff has always been extremely friendly and helpful.Rooms are clean. Hot Tub is nice to have....it's nothing fancy but we don't need a lot of frills after a long day of Skiing etc ...instead of spend the extra $ we save on Dining out,shopping in TC ...Mary-Ann & Danny

Excellent stay at Americas Best Value Inn. Staff is super nice. Erin in particular gets out of her way to create a perfect experience. Comfortable rooms. On my second night, I had a room facing the golf course, which was a great view.

Included breakfast is very basic, with coffee, some simple pastry and fruit. And there's no sitting at the breakfast place, so you have to take it to your room. It'd be nice to have a little bit more.

It was lovely having the room next to the golf course,; it was quiet, the moon visible in the morning over the snow was especially beautiful. The hot tub was a freat spot to relkax afyer long walks Having a refrigerator and mictowave in room worked out well Fresh fruiyt and the snack bars added to the day Staff at the counter were helpful and friendly, nice to have a cat about, too

There weren't maps of the available for walking paths around the Lake and other day time hikes available

The location was excellent. The room was very clean and the bed extremely comfortable. I would definitely stay again.

My stay started out extremely well with staff being very pleasant. However, it ended on a sour note with the man at the front desk being extremely rude. I started to tell him how pleases I was with the room. He interrupted me and said he had left me a voicemail. I had reserved the room with a credit card but wanted to pay cash which I did. Maybe he is just an unhappy person.

The room was comfortable, clean and quiet. We had a beautiful view of Lake Tahoe, which I was not expecting. The bed was comfortable. Plenty of hot water for bathing. Restaurants and the beach are just a stone's throw away. We hardly had to use our car. The housekeeping staff did an excellent job making up the room. We plan to return.

I wish the room had been a little bit bigger. Also, we opted to go elsewhere for breakfast as this hotel only had pastries and fruit available.

This was a pleasant surprise I am a local and I’ve never stayed here before it’s a great location it’s right next to Commons beach and they have summer concert so I can hear the music which was nice I stayed on a Sunday night and it was really crowded but very quiet at night rooms were clean bed was really comfortable and they have a really big closet and the best part it was very cool and comfortable they have a big fan over your bed along with air conditioning and it was very hot in the daytime So it was nice to be cool so you can get a good nights sleep very nice staff I’ll definitely come here again

Not much

The room itself was great. It overlooked the golf course, which was a wonderful view. The room was quiet, comfortable, and cozy. It's also in the most absolutely perfect location!

Hard to think of something I didn't like. The shower water temperature would fluctuate but that is likely because the hotel is older.

Front desk receptionist and location. Good warnings about hungry bears coming out of hibernation. New better coffee in reception area. Fridge/microwave in room.

Continental breakfast could have more variety such as yoghurt or bread and toppings (pb, jam). Door locks not functioning with key cards.

The room was a good size and was fairly well furnished and equipped. Most impressive was the presence of 2 desks and 1 table. Cable TV had the one channel I wanted to watch. Bed and temperature were comfortable. The free granola bar at checkin was a nice bonus.

Breakfast was minimal but free. Room heater was effective, although a bit loud. Adding a microwave would have been quite useful to me, but I did not expect one.
