SpringHill Suites by Marriott Truckee

Very good place to stay when looking for active vacation with the kids in Truckee area. The hotel was comfortable, well equipped and in reasonable reach to all major sites we wanted to visit incl. Lake Tahoe. Breakfast was good and we were also positively surprised by the level of window noise isolation (our windows were just above the highway but no way to figure that out by it's noise, it was really silent).

As Europeans we aren't used to such low level AC setup in the hotel which was a problem for us especially in the night when the only protection against the cold was to use the noisy heating...

Brand new and very modern hotel. The room was large with a comfortable seating area (desk, sofa and chair). The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was large and immaculately clean. A full breakfast in the morning was delicious. Check-in was super quick and staff were friendly. Air conditioner worked well. You won't be disappointed at this hotel.

There are plenty of lights in the room but they are kind of dim. You can hear the freeway a little (not bad). The hotel is located a little ways out of the main part of town it you are walking.

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The rooms were spacious and clean, providing a comfortable and refreshing environment. The hot tub was a fantastic addition, offering us a relaxing evening. The staff members were helpful & friendly. Lastly, the breakfast provided offered more than what we expected. Overall, we highly recommend this hotel for anyone seeking a comfortable, clean, and enjoyable stay with good amenities.

Staff was amazing, Robin and Steven were very helpful in getting us set up. I really like this hotel because it sleeps so many comfortably, has a hot tub, allows pets ( we don’t have one but that is hard to find in a hotel) and breakfast was amazing! I was so happy I didn’t have to cook and the location was fantastic. Will definitely come again.

Breakfast is great, tons of varities to choose from. Could use another waffle maker and more hot food options. Location is excellent, easy to find. Pretty convenient amd close to ski resort. Will visit again.

They didn’t visit to clean the rooms when we requested or when we didnt put the do not disturb sign. Toilet tissue a little on the rough side. The extra blanket is rough and felt like cardboard. Not very helpful during winter. heater blows cold at times. Could use a little attentin to the icy walk/ driveway. It’s dangerous for tourist. One of my family slipped and bump her head as she was enjoyimg the view. Thank goodness as it is not serious.

The room was really nice as were the amenities, the state of the art TV , was able to access Netflix and Amazon Prime through our Iphones. Loved that!

It was hard to plug into a wall socket. Apparently they are made this way for safety and unable to plug into directly, but the hotel staff did not know how to plug a plug in. One staff member came to our room and and also tried in an empty room to try to plug the coffee maker in and could not. He said we had to wait for the manager to come in. Another traveler over heard our conversation and explained that the plug has to be plugged into at an angle. Problem solved after an hour of frustration. Please inform your staff. Also the trundle bed was not comfortable, too hard and needed to be a more padded mattress.

The breakfast was great and I have no complaints. The pool was a nice feature and especially the spa! However, the pool was very small. It would be nice if the pool and spa could be enclosed to allow all year usage. The bathroom was very well designed. It gave adequate space for 2 people to get ready and I am a HUGE fan of walk in showers!

Room was very clean, comfortable, and spacious. Absolutely loved the incredible breakfast!! Great location.

Didn't like the fact that I was charged to park on the property ($10). That's just a money grab and totally not necessary. I'm sure the hotel chain is doing just fine financially.

Lovely rooms with comfortable beds and nice bathrooms. Helpful, friendly staff with fast check in. Good breakfast. Laundry facilities available.

They don’t service the rooms (probably due to covid but other American hotels do) but you are left with loads of rubbish and dirty glasses during your stay. If they’re not servicing the rooms you should be compensated with a lower room charge.

From checking in to checking out, seamless process. Location was convenient to town and the rooms were comfortable.

The snack shop was triple the price of item vs in town. Twice would have been more understandable. Also, while the beer selection was decent, wine offerings at least would have been appreciated.
