The M Solvang

I loved the area. Walking distance to everything. The room was perfect. It was super cozy. It was clean. The shower was great...water pressure excellent. I loved it so much, I booked an extra night directly with the hotel staff. The garden was beautiful. I had a little photo shoot of my niece, with her Wednesday Addams dress, for her 6th birthday. They came out great!

Everything was perfect. If I would say something I didn't like it would be there were a lot of spider webs. The toilet took long to fill with water after a flush. No big deal :)

We had a bedroom with a king-size bed and a separate room with a couch and a kitchen (door closed between). The fridge was large and the kitchen included a stovetop with four burners and basic pots and pans as well as dishes and cutlery. There was also a toaster (I think a coffee maker too but we didn’t use it). I wasn’t expecting that but was glad for the space and also separate areas so my husband could watch TV while I took a nap! Other reviews mentioned the garden and I did enjoy having breakfast outside one morning. The hotel is within a short walk (less than 5 minutes) of the streets with the shops and restaurants without being right in the middle of the action. Perfect location in my opinion! Alisal Road also runs directly to the Nojoqui Falls about 6 miles away in the hills, which was worth the short drive and very short hike (only ten minutes to the falls but very pretty!).

There was nothing wrong with the property although I was expecting something different for the price we paid (maybe a lobby or indoor lounging area; the cafe was closed while we were there so the continental breakfast was not included, which was fine for us just not clear in the reservation). Solvang is simply an expensive place to stay, especially on Christmas weekend, so if I return to Solvang in the future, I would stay in another town and drive in just to walk around for a few hours (even though parking there can be a hassle when it’s crowded).

Location was great.. nice garden to walk around.. cleaning staff were friendly and helpful for directions I asked even though she didn't speak English and showed me where the water bottle fill was

The place was not really vacuum well in the kitchen area and the sofa had a smell of some residue of vomit 🤮.. and I actually got covid right after that..btw I am fully vaccinated with boosters..I travel to Mexico in the interior where people don't have decent restrooms and are short if water BUT I didn't get sick..yet here in CA the sofa not cleaned well makes another visitor sick

very quiet area just a bit off of the downtown noise. Felt like we were staying at a private european cottage. I like that it doesn’t feel like a modern generic cookie cutter hotel. We had the front garden area to ourselves every nite to watch the stars.The rooms in front facing the garden area are amazing ! I also like the fact that housekeeping & staff leaves you alone & doesn’t bother you every morning but will bring you fresh towels upon request.

Wish the front room had a small couch or a love seat. the table with 2 chairs was nice but not comfortable to sit in for extended period of time. The bed was kinda creaky & worried it might be too loud for neighbors.

The price is reasonable for the location and it is within walking distance from downtown. The rooms were clean and the garden is very nice. The area was quiet no outside noise from the downtown traffic and the rooms are nestled in the back.

I didn't like that there was not an attendant for late check-in and no one to answer calls, there was only an answering service and our keys were left in an envelope, it was only 8 pm. The rooms are dated but overall functional.

We loved our room, it was small but perfect for me, my husband and our 5-year-old. I picked this room because it had direct access to the garden. We enjoyed playing bocce ball in the back garden. The distance from town was perfect. We actually went home in the middle of the day to take a nap then got up in the afternoon to get another meal We loved it.

There was a sewer smell in our room. Reminds of you buildings with old pipes. It was bearable, but our stay would have been much more enjoyable if there was a smell that I was noticing.

Location was great. Walking distance to everywhere we wanted to go. Cleaning staff did a good job prepping the room. Front desk was friendly. Room coffee was good.

Not a lot of electrical outlets in room. Window blinds did not close. Bathroom needed more hanging hooks for towels. Bathroom could use a little more sink surface area for makeup and women's supplies.

Location: We were there for Danish Days, and this hotel was far enough from the festivities to have a quiet night of sleep; but close enough to walk to everything. We really liked the old world architecture and gardens. Also had one of the best hotel showers we've ever used.

Our room was not ready at the designated time, so it threw off the rest of our evening.

It is a unique, beautiful property with gardens in front and back of property.

Like a lot of shops in Solvang, this place closes early. I arrived shortly after 6pm and the office was closed. There was an envelope left with room key and a map but no Wi-Fi password. Also there were very few electrical outlets to charge devices. I have never stayed at a hotel were there was no staff after a certain time.

No breakfast it could of help little. Great and clean hotel. Suggest a microwave in the room would help. Great coffee. Great location of the hotel away from traffic and main strip. Beautiful grounds I hope it never changes. Great price to stay at. Loved it!!

Everything was great!! Our first vacation great vacation we needed it believe it bought us back together again Thank you 👍👏🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰 next time we will take our dog we missed her
