New Haven Inn

Darling Dutch style house just 2 blocks from the downtown shops and restaurants. super clean, friendly staff, room had fridge, microwave, coffee pot, and was very comfortable. solving is a darling town with lots of shops and restaurants and New Haven in is close to it all but down the street so quiet.

No problem us for us, but 2 our rooms were upstairs an exterior set of stairs. if elderly, make sure you are on 1st floor. property sits right on the main road of town… quite a quiet road, but if you leave windows open you may hear a few cars in the night.

everything was great! the stay was better then we were expecting. very cute hotel stay. the lady at the office was very happy to give us a printed list of good food places to try and fun things to do in the area based on the time frame we were visiting

parking options were tight and in small corners of the property(total of 6 parking spot options down a tight one way alley) or street parking. There was no warning of the construction next door starting at 630 am during our stay. I know its temporary but a heads up would have been cool

Having a room where we had a firepit right outside and could park nearby was great. The decor was inviting and the room was clean. Nice to have complementary water bottles and coffee. I was looking for a place with a hot tub and pool but decided on yours since our son and family recommended it and we enjoyed it.

Double beds are kind of small so my husband and I slept in separate beds. The cars driving fast on the road while we were outside enjoying the fire pit. If we return we'll try to get a room in another location. The room was a bit more pricey that others I had considered, but again, because our son recommended it, we decided to try it out.

Nice little spot that was clean and cozy. Bonus is the Level 2 EV charger. I would recommend that they put up a sign in that spot that says "EV Parking Only" because the spot was blocked when I arrived. Staff was nice enough to track down that guest and ask them to move so that I could charge for the next leg of my trip.

Water pressure was low in both the toilet and the shower. The shower temperature kept changing through the entire shower.

Very charming property, near center of town. The room seemed very clean and well appointed. All the conveniences of microwave, fridge, coffee maker & TV. Everything was ‘no contact’ so I didn’t not interact with any staff members.

The construction next store made me nervous as they were tearing down the building with heavy equipment in the driveway, next to the parking spots. The parking spots were really too small for my Ford Explorer and the other 2 spots were occupied by similar SUV sized cars. I parked on the street instead, which I wasn’t really comfortable with but nothing bad happened. The sleeper couch was not comfortable to sit on and there was no other seating available in the room.

We appreciate the decor and little touches. Room 8 (upstairs) was quiet like a little sanctuary. Everything was clean and comfortable. The king size bed and double shower were a treat. The AC and appliances worked well. The motion activated nightlight in the bathroom was nice if you didn't pick a long enough timer for the overhead lights. The bothersome clothes rack was dealt with by hanging something on one of the hangers to avoid walking into it. The self check-in and check-out process was convenient. The walk to town was pleasant and brief.

No complaints, just info...Parking is good if you have a small vehicle otherwise park on the street. The location of the clothes rack is inconvenient; just hang something from it and you'll be fine. During this stay construction in the adjacent lot began at 7:30 am and ended around 4 pm.

we r a family of 3 . the room was adequate size . Shower head has a flexible hose which is excellent ! water pressure is powerful . the patio has comfortable seats n a fireplace .makes it v lovely n comfortable to sit out in the evening . location is good. walkable to town centre. a laundromat is within 5 driving distance .

the auto checkin procedure was a hassle. but fortunately we arrived when Mario was still on duty. So check in got sorted out eventually .

Everything!! Solvang in general is such a lovely place to visit and our night at New Haven Inn made the stay perfect. Our room was very clean and comfy. We felt safe in the area and enjoyed the little walk to the center. We were on a 3-week USA trip and never had such a nice Inn - it exceeded our expectations. There is parking in the backyard. Check- In and Check-Out were fast & easy. If we ever make it to Solvang again, we will stay here for sure. The entire facility is beautiful, and the house / inner courtyard is very neat and in a very good shape.

Very clean. Fun space. Fantastic location, two tenths (.2) of a mile away from the shops. Loved the patio and porch area. Lots of parking. We arrived late on our first night and had ample parking to choose from. Check in was a breeze. Staff was very friendly, thanked us for staying. Loved the supply of wine glasses, in the kitchenette area, as we forgot ours at home. Overall fantastic getaway. We will be back!

Carpeted floors. Hardwood/laminate would make all the difference. Carpet has lifted rolls in places. My sister, who is handicapped, fell because she tripped over one of these rolls. All was fine. Family would have liked a bathtub instead of shower, but my fault for not requesting.
