North Bay Inn

Lovely woman at Front Desk - of owner couple - was very kind and helpful. I found the room clean and comfortable, with fridge/microwave, which were very handy since I did not want to go out after traveling all day (flight from BOS, rental car from SFO) in the heavy rains!

first room was on the 'low' side of the drive, and under water due to heavy rains. But, fortunately, the inn was not full, so I was moved to the other side, which allowed me to bring my things in without having to wade over my ankles.

I didn't eat the breakfast as I didn't have time. So I can't comment on that. I did like the room however. Brand new everything. No smell of cleaning products as you might find in some cheaper motels. Really comfortable beds. I had a very good night sleep which is exactly what I needed. The room served my needs at a very affordable price and I would definitely stay there again. Staff was very nice as well.

As far as the room goes I can't think of anything that I would improve or complain about. However, the neighborhood surrounding the motel is a little sketchy. I didn't go out at night for any purpose. I had everything I needed when I arrived and just went in my room closed the door and went to bed. I'm not saying it's dangerous necessarily yeah, but it's not Resort like once you get out of the motel parking lot.

Room very clean. The manager very accommodating regarding the large van we drove to CA; she was very helpful by letting us park by the office during the evening and overnight after we returned from our events when most of the guests were back and parked in the lot(during the day, there was ample space to park in a spot). She was also very vigilant regarding any vehicles parked in the lot that didn't belong to a guest (specifically our friend's car during a visit we had outside). We appreciated her attention to detail and concern for guests safety. Thank you!

If possible, would be nice to have a little outdoor place to visit especially during these COVID times.

The front desk receptionist was delightful, even specifying a parking spot for us near our room. In this age when we are encouraging people to "choose kind," this woman certainly does. She was very kind and welcoming.

Like all hotels/motels these days the property was No Smoking. But there was drift into the room from those smoking outdoors. This is no one's fault, just a reality due to breeze!

It was strict about no visitors and no loud music, but that was perfect for our quiet getaway! Nice paneled windows, cute toiletries! It also had lots of cameras around the property which makes you feel good, since this isn't the best neighborhood.

It's a little confusing pulling in, as the right lane ends a half mile before the turn so you have to merge. The parking lot is a one-way pulling in, so it's a pain when someone's trying to come out the wrong way.

Desk clerk was very attentive. Good place to stay for a night while traveling or working. Fridge and microwave in room, lots of eateries nearby. Close to downtown San Rafael.

Right next to freeway so a bit noisy. The air conditioning unit was not working very well. The neighborhood is industrial.

Location to surgery center, continental breakfast, maids did thorough cleaning, comfortable bed, large king suite.

Being called early in the morning to see if I wanted my room cleaned instead of looking at sign on door. Noise of surrounding units and parking at times.

The room was super clean and well maintained. The front desk lady was very friendly and check-in was fast and easy. Had surveillance cameras all over the parking lot which was nice. It was right off the freeway, but was still a quiet area. Will return whenever we come back to visit!

The rooms are very clean and nice, not a small cramped up room it’s pretty spacious and the king bed is very comfortable!

The only thing I do have a issue with is the noise of the fwy, I’ve stayed at this hotel twice and I usually stay upstairs so I might have to try downstairs next time

Fine for an overnight stop. Everything clean and comfortable.

Noisy location next to the highway. (Nothing the property can do about that so if you want the convenience of the location that's fine.) Breakfast is just snacks to take away. (Shouldn't advertise "Breakfast included".)
