Best Western Plus Suites Hotel Coronado Island

While I did not eat breakfast there; only b/c I was visiting family, I believe it was Juan who helped me. I know in your records it will state who helped. HE WAS / IS AN ASSET to the company. He represents you as a corporation, and he would have me come back to stay there. Polite, considerate, informative, honest, reliable, always present if something as simple as a towel was needed. Kind, respectful. IAtrue statement to his own personal character. I do hope you acknowledge that more than a piece of paper saying, " good job" . Good help is not easy to find, and GREAT help, like he was, is rare. Take care of your employees, and they will take care of you. THank you so much for a great stay.

We liked the fantastic location only a short walk from shops, restaurants, a small beach and the ferry crossing to downtown. The room was a good size and clean and the staff were friendly. There was free parking on site and breakfast included in the price.

The pool was very small with only 2 loungers one of which was ripped , but we only spent 1 afternoon by the pool so it wasn't a big problem. Also we only had 3 pillows provided between 2 of us but again not a huge issue.

Spacious rooms. The location was easy to get to get in and out of. Free off-street parking was convenient and felt safe. The free breakfast was very good. Many choices.

The beds were NOT comfortable. The mattresses on the two doubles were worn out. We could literally feel every spring. The mattress on the sofa bed slanted downward at the top where people sat in it. We had to move our head to the "feet" end of the mattress to fix the downhill slope.

The only aspect of our trip that was confusing was that I had prepaid the room and the hotel did not have a record of that. So we charged my card again but then the office attendant did find my prepayment and refunded my card. Unfortunately the refund takes 5-7 business days. But everything else was welcoming, clean and convenient.

It would have been nice to have an option to make our own fresh waffles or pancakes. I enjoyed the fruit and the breakfast sandwiches at the morning free meal. The environment was very appealing and relaxing too. It was great to be able to sit outside for breakfast too.

Very nice and friendly staff. Bus stop next to the hotel. Ferry in walking distance. Good location on the main street, close to shops and cafes and very quiet though. Decent breakfast and complimentary tea and coffee all day and night long. Laundry for 1 USD. Nice patio with chairs and tables. Elevator.

Clean rooms but the building is clearly rather old. The elevator, all windows and stairs need some cleaning and refreshing. Small breakfast area.

Breakfast was basic. I prefer to step off property to Starbucks or a restaurant. The Best Western Coronado is located on a busy corner. It was great to be able to step out of property and walk to many popular locations on Coronado. The inner outdoor area of the property was nice with tables to enjoy a glass of wine, coffee or snacks

The location of the Best Western Coronado is on an extremely busy corner. The pool on property is situated facing that busy corner. The pool is miniature. The photo online is captured at an angle that presents to pool area as larger. It was disappointing. I’m looking for a property with a better pool area next travel.

The room was excellent with a bedroom and a living room area both had their own television's. Microwave and a refrigerator in the room! Juan was our host and he was absolutely awesome! Everything we asked for he provided, extra pillows, silverware which we forgot, he even found fruit for us so we could make smoothies in our room. Everyone was so friendly, property was clean and the free breakfast had everything you could want to start the day! The coffee was very good! Free parking on site, laundry facilities, vending machines on all 3 floors and they even have bicycles to borrow. We will definitely be returning to Coronado Island and of all the hotels on the island we will be returning to the Best Western Plus to stay! Thanks again Juan for the magnificent hospitality!

Everything was excellent! The only thing I could mention is it was a little hard to find at first. It's on a street that goes only one way so you have to circle around if you pass it and at first it's easy to pass even with maps but we found it! It wasn't on the beach just a short 3 min ride down the street to get to the beach area. They only have 2 handicapped parking spots but they do have underground parking with an elevator..

Very good location near to restaurants and bottom of island. We were able to walk to the beach and main town area as well. Pool and spa were very quiet. Easy to use TV and wide selection of programs. Good WiFi. Free underground car park. Friendly staff. Buffet breakfast including hot items.

No shade at swimming pool. Pool abit shallow but not a problem.

The washer and dryer were so nice to have . I am used to winters in San Diego so I know it gets cold at night . We had the heat on at night . We liked the variety of cable tv stations. We were able to open the window during the morning to allow fresh air in. Then we drew the curtains so it wouldn’t get too hot in the room. The heater worked ok and we turned it off in the mornings. Breakfast and coffee were good. I would visit here again.
