The Westin San Diego Bayview

Central location, comfy bed & sheets, shower with non slip bath mat provided. $10 vouchers X 4 for use over stay. Loved shower heads & toiletries provided. Was on floor 22 expected great views. Welcoming staff, attentive. Only stayed due to cheap package deal at the last minute.

Bathroom - needed attention - dusty ledge near taps showed it had not been cleaned, there were dry watermarks around taps, toilet needed a brush clean for stains at the bottom. Both creamer & half milk supplies left floaties in my coffee. Fresh supplies were required. No views to rave about from floor 22.

The room and view was beautiful. Very clean. They gave us an upgraded room at no extra charge. The bed was so comfortable and the robe was so soft. Rooftop pool and hot tub at night is stellar. Valet service rocked.

Front desk staff was a bit cold to us at check in and check out (valet staff was awesome). Breakfast not included and the restaurant is super expensive for the buffet. They did give us a $10 coupon for the coffee shop but it was still ridiculously priced. No hot water in the shower, would only get lukewarm at best! That was disappointing.

location was amazing , 15 min walking distance to little Italy , Gaslamp and seaport village. we enjoyed the cleanness and also the kindness and friendly atmosphere and the staff were amazing.

AC was kind of not working well . it got really hot at times. also , our room was 24 th floor . some of the elevators would only go to 23rd floor . we had to call the elevator a few times until the right one came for our floor . other than that, everything was great

The staff was all great! Every person I talked to was very helpful and accommodating. The room was very clean and the view was neat as I was able to watch some boats in the distance. It is within walking distance of so many great restaurants, attractions, and some shopping. I walked A LOT while I stayed and it was so nice. The Starbucks on sight was very helpful since I'd wake up extra early and their restaurant was pretty good when I ordered from it a couple times.

Even though I'd turn the air down, it was like the half of the room where I was sleeping wouldn't actually cool down at night. The bed wasn't quite as comfortable for me but I'm sure that's just from personal preference. It does get pretty noisy and made it hard for me to sleep sometimes but my room was near a busy road and right above the pool. It would have been nice if the vouchers given for each night could be used or traded for something else. As a visitor I wanted to spend time exploring more of the local restaurants and I'm not able to drink alcohol so most of mine didn't get used.

When we got to our room, our "sanitized" sticker was already broken and the refrigerator door was open slightly so there was water collecting at the bottom. Not a big deal. Just something to note

Room was nice, clean, comfortable. Staff was friendly. Appreciated having an airport shuttle. Location was good. It was walkable (if you're willing to walk 20ish minutes) to Little Italy, Petco Park, the Midway, the waterfront, etc.

Windows were extremely dirty from room looking out. Also, note that there are two Westins downtown just a few blocks apart so make sure you are typing in the right one for Uber, walking, etc. Also, the yogurt we bought in the lobby was $12, which is way overpriced, even for San Diego.

The location of the hotel is great. Gaslamp is right around the corner, as well as Seaport Village and the USS Midway. Hotel was very clean, staff were super friendly. Read about having to pay $55 for parking through the hotel, but there was an overnight parking structure right across the street for only $25 which was very convenient.

Only issue was that the towels by the pool during the evening time were pretty much gone leaving some guests without towels if you didn’t bring your own.

The localization of the hotel is amazing, it right in between Gaslamp Quarter, Little Italy, Balboa Park, and the waterfront. This makes a bunch of activities accessible on foot in about 15 min. Downtown is also fairly well connected to the other places in the city with public transportation. Another advantage is that we got $15 credit/day to use in the bar or cafe, just enough for the morning coffee.

The hotel appears a bit more modern in photos than in reality. While this is not a huge deal, the lobby and advertising seem to portray it as a fantastic place, so I was a bit disappointed when I entered the room.

Staff was great and facilities well kept. The location was within walking distance of everything. In addition, we enjoyed the buffet style breakfast.

The parking! Although everything was great, the parking presented some challenges and was costly. You either have to valet at hotel for $56 a night or across from hotel at $25, but if you leave, you have to pay again. The hotel should charge a flat fee for duration of stay.

The location of the hotel is great; in close proximity to public transit stations. Also, restaurant staff and service were great; loved the weekend breakfast buffet.

Air conditioning in room was noisy; possibly fan issue. Also, the handle for the bathroom pocket sliding door is not practical as it was too small to properly use to close the door without first slamming the door closed and disturbing guests. Lastly, I was under the impression the traditional guest room with king bed I booked would also have a sofa bed (as per the Booking.com description), but it didn't.
