Aurora Park Cottages

Loved staying at these cottages. We were a group of 3 couples staying in three cabins. Location was convenient to all of the wineries we had planned on seeing. It was within walking distance from town( we took the back streets). But most of all, Carol, the lady running the place, was incredible. She bent over backwards to make sure we had what we needed. She brought delicious pastries, fresh fruit and orange juice to our cabins each morning. When the power went out, (not a big deal) she went out and got coffee for us along with muffins. She kept informed about the power going off and when it came back on. I Highly, Highly recommended these cabins. Beds were very comfortable, showers were hot. Breakfast was delicious.

Nothing, I honestly have nothing bad to say.

The breakfast was DELICIOUS! A croissant and a homemade scone with fresh watermelon and blueberries. (We wished we had 2 scones.) The cottage was charming - the perfect size - with ample distance from the other cottages to feel private. We were able to use 2 bikes for free which was awesome - a huge bonus! We loved how close we were to town. It was such a nice neighborhood between the cottages and the streets with stores and restaurants. There were plush robes, snacks in the cottage, and yummy smelling shampoo.

The location was on a very busy road, so the traffic noise was louder than I would have liked. (Of course the weather was SO nice and cool, so we did have our windows open.) Reserving the bikes was not as seamless as we would have liked. We had to coordinate with the host and luckily found a mutually agreeable time. The hosts made a big deal about sanitizing and cleaning - which was nice - but the cottages seemed a little bit dated.

Location was good. Central area and the place was quiet.The cottage is clean and stocked with tea and coffee. They also have a microwave and a very small ref. It was a contactless process but we see the staff every now and then and they are courteous and always smiling 😃 Love the fruits with the breakfast.

Hot water was on demand so it comes and goes, but it was okay. Pillows were a bit worn out but they had 6 so we just stuck it up so that works! Oh forgot to tell the inn keeper that the electric water pot is leaking and can't be use if you just want hot water for your tea. Place a flag on the bird house so that if the breakfast is delivered you don't have to knock, your customers will just know that the breakfast is there by looking out the window. Just a suggestion 😉

Love the accessibility of this property to the main street in Calistoga. It is tucked away in the forest and was a fun stay. Very quiet place and having our own house without hearing neighbors was perfect.

The outdoor patio area was not in great shape and the furniture and flooring out there was extremely hot during the day so it couldn't be enjoyed. The breakfast was a nice touch but we never ate it, usually consisted of a small bowl of fruit, fruit juice, and a croissant. The shower also took a very long time to heat up.

Very clean and comfortable room with excellent facilities and lots of thoughtful touches (such as the welcome card). Perfect breakfast delivered to our 'birdhouse' each morning. A lovely setting and the 'standalone' rooms meant there was no noise from neighbours. A very friendly and helpful host.

We would have to be very 'picky' to find anything wrong

Across the street is a small path that brings you to downtown without walking at the main street. It’s very close in walking distance to all the restaurants and shops. It’s nice having the own patio to sit outside and enjoy the good breakfast that is every morning a surprise in this adorable bird house. Everything is very clean and the bed is comfy. We loved staying there and would definitely recommend.

The dishes haven’t been changed and there was no housekeeping. It’s totally fine for two days but as there is no kitchen, I needed to clean the dishes for next breakfast or wine in the bathroom.

The cottages and surrounding gardens are well maintained. The cottage as many nice touches, shower supplies, tea pot, etc. very cosy. Deck is nice to lounge on. And the basket of fresh pastries served in the birdhouse cool touch. Walking distance to downtown. Great cycling.

Bookings site wasn’t clear on types of rooms available. The Aurora House (larger and just one) is featured prominently so thought we were getting that. What we got was totally acceptable just confusing.

I loved the private cottages & sitting on the deck in the morning eating our breakfast that was delivered to our little birdhouse.

I would have liked the porch lights to have been on when we arrived as it was after dark when we arrived. It was very hard to find our cottage & then navigate to the front door in the dark. Also, the orange juice had a strange flavor & would have liked maybe something more substantial than just croissants & fruit. Maybe a frozen breakfast burrito too that could be microwaved. Just an idea.

Close to town, yet secluded and quiet. Comfortable bed and more room than a hotel could provide. Kate delivered a continental breakfast in the morning. There were figs and a pear tree close by, too. Cottage #5

Breakfast was delivered to our cottage which was perfect since it was raining! The bed was really comfie and the extra touches were appreciated. Great shower, soaps and lotion. And great coffee!

The porch steps could use a hand rail but everything else was great
