Sonesta Select Phoenix Chandler

The hotel was very clean, the room was clean, and everything was in its place. The shower was clean , and the beds and pillows were very comfortable. It was nice that our room had a large balcony. We could sit outside in the morning and drink our coffee. Kids loved the free wifi

The only negative thing I have to say is when turning on the TV. Our remote was not working to change imput to HDMI 2 or volume. I couldn't figure out the channel thing, so I started to look behind the TV, I noticed the cable HDMI cord was not plugged in, so then that's why the channels weren't working.... luckily, I had taken my own HDMI cord, plugged it right in and connected my tablet for watching Netflix or Disney+.

First time ever staying at a Sonesta property. Everything about this property was great for the price we paid. Very spacious lobby and "social gathering" area upon entry. I'm sure it helped being Summertime here and 110 degrees but the rate paid was excellent for such a nice property. Room was spacious and well equipped. Bed and multiple pillows provided were comfy. The surrounding area is LOADED with great shops and restaurants.

Apparently you can pay for breakfast but nothing was out there at 7:45am. They have you pay $5 for parking which is odd as there's no shortage of parking in the area.

Clean, comfortable, and staff helpful. The lobby is big and great for working. Loved the they have a little cafe to get drinks and a quick breakfast and an place to grab snacks after hours. Room was spacious, has nice big easy to access closet and a little sofa (with a foot rest) that could fold out into full size bed. Mini fridge and microwave were under a counter cabinet for a clean look and Lee space to spread out. A tasteful way to make an upgrade on your tradition luggage rack was the little rolling drawer unit to pulled out from under the desk. Two drawers for your belongings underneath, and a safe place for your suitcase to unfold off the bed and the floor OR a bench to sit on. Overall they offer great amenities for the price in a tastefully appointed comfortable room with nice mattresses. And they are pet friendly.

I have a service dog who alerts me to what I cannot hear, I was woken at all odd hours throughout the night to guests coming and going like they had been partying or were otherwise just in the hallways hanging out outside my door. Someone’s at the door, someone’s at the door, someone’s at the door, starting at roughly 3am and continuing till 8 am every half hour or so, just people. Back and forth. All night.

The bed was wonderful on 60 year old backs. Guest laundry is available, even though the website doesn’t mention it. Large public spaces both indoors and outdoors, was excellent for our 20 person get together. The staff are great: helpful and friendly, kudos to the staff and the management that selected them. We had a 20 person pizza party, for which we re-arranged all their dining furniture; when the party was over the staff cheerfully told us they would put the furniture back in place. (We set it back the way we found it.)

Walk in shower was good, but could use a refresh; the shower pan is high traction plastic which is safe, but retains dirt over time. Oh yeah, I’m 6’2” and had to duck under the shower head (I’m used to it, but do appreciate hotels with higher shower heads). It is close to the freeway, which is convenient, but some rooms can be noisy (some are quiet, so if this is important, ask for a quiet room).

Everything was pretty good. The pool and spa were nice. The room was large and we had plenty of privacy with the door between the two parts of the room.

The fan in the bathroom was very noisy. I let the front desk know about this when I checked out. The TV reception was very choppy. The bedding was sparse. I could have used either better pillows or perhaps a couple extra pillows and a blanket too. The shower head was old and did not spray well. The water pressure in the shower was so low that it took a significantly longer time to shower.

The hotel is beautiful, clean and welcoming. We were visiting family and the ample seating in the lobby was a great place to gather. Our rooms were comfortable and spacious, and the bathrooms were spotlessly clean. The pool area was clean and plenty of towels were on hand. My 85 year old mom found it easy to get around and loved the hotel. We really enjoyed our stay.

While we had a great time I had just a few small concerns. I was quite disappointed that breakfast was not "all that" especially since it was not complimentary. Also, a guest had a dog with them which is not a problem in itself but the dog became quite vicious toward another guest, barking and pulling at the leash. That same dog was barking at guests from a second story balcony overlooking the pool area.

The location is awesome for this hotel, so many shopping and restaurant options being that it is right off of I-10. Easy drive to pretty much anywhere in the Phoenix Metro area or even to Tucson if that's where you want to go. Many of the food options are close enough to walk, which is what we did. Plenty of parking is available as well. Staff is very nice from front desk to the wonderful ladies cleaning the room and offering fresh towels. Check out was very easy. Pool is very nice and wasn't used very much so we practically had it to ourselves. Lots of outdoor seating area to relax when the sun goes down and the area cools down.

No free continental breakfast like many hotels offer but that was a fair trade off for the other things the hotel did very well. The toilet seat was loose and there was some hair in the shower that was missed. The shower head needed to be cleaned due to water hardening on it. Simple fixes and attention to detail.

This location had easy access from I-10 and convenient to our destination in Chandler. We were greeted at the front desk by a very personable, respectful and knowledgeable young lady (Alexandria?) upon arrival. She answered any questions about the site, and gave us information about all the shops and restaurants in the immediate area. Our Studio King room was spacious, clean, and easy to access from the Main Lobby. The bathroom had a large, walk-in shower, which was greatly appreciated by my 90 y/o Mother. Also, our studio had a mini-balcony where we enjoyed our in-room coffee in the fresh, morning air. The bed was very comfortable, although the pillows were a little soft for my preference. Ample parking surrounds the hotel, The grounds were attractive and well-maintained, we did not utilize the pool or any other options on this visit. Although this location is right off the Ray Rd. exit from I-10, there didn't seem to be any freeway noise and our room specifically was very quiet.

No breakfast of any kind (continental or hot items) available during this stay, although there is a large dining area directly across from the front desk. [I have been to other hotels in the last 2 yrs. (during Covid) and they have provided at least a continental breakfast for guests in a socially-distanced fashion.] Thankfully, there is a Bisbee Breakfast Club (restaurant) within walking distance (even for seniors!) across the parking lot near the entrance to the property. They DO serve amazing breakfasts there!!

The beds were very very comfortable. The location was great, right off the 10 and close to everything. The room was clean and roomy.

$5 a day for parking and tax on top of that, that was not on booking.com. The bathroom door didn't lock because the door backwards and the bolt lock didn't work either. I'm sure I knew there was no breakfast but the charges were what they had were pretty high. I just went for donuts elsewhere. The shower thing wouldn't go up so it was a shower and bath in one which was very slippery.

This hotel was a great find. It has an inviting reception area, a lovely garden, several outdoor sitting areas and a nice pool and jacuzzi area. The room was plenty comfortable with a sitting area, a small frig, and our room had a tiny balcony with 2 chairs and we sat outside watching the monsoon pass by with some evening rain. The room had a huge TV. The bathroom was large and was very clean and bright. The King bed was super comfortable. We did not eat breakfast onsite, as we had other plans. But, we did notice that there was a Starbucks kiosk with breakfast available. We were on a quick, overnight shopping trip and the location was close to many stores and shopping ares and many restaurant choices.

We had no complaints. We had never stayed at this "brand" of lodging. We were totally satisfied with our experience. We would stay here again when in the Chandler area. Thanks.
