Hilton Garden Inn Phoenix/Avondale

First of all, I reserved a suite to accommodate myself, daughter and granddaughter. I found out I had Covid on the day of travel. Of course, I had to cancel the trip. It was a special time to see my grandson graduate from UTI as an auto technician. I called the hotel and spoke with Kelly, she was exceptionally helpful. Since the suite was prepaid, she checked me into the room even though I couldn’t be there and allowed my daughter and granddaughter to get into the room when they arrived the next day. I’m so appreciative of her help and excellent customer service. They enjoyed their stay and the room was perfect for their needs.

The facility was super clean and modern. The rooms were a very good size with comfy beds. I liked the numerous seating areas, outside with the fire pit or inside.

I was a bit surprised when I asked the front desk where the stairs were, nobody seemed to know! This needs to be something they know! I was also a bit upset that I could not just pay for breakfast and it had to be added to my room- It was a bit overpriced in my opinion. A bit more signage about the buffet and pricing etc. I was also surprised that there was no hotel information booklet or flyer in the room to tell us food times, pool times etc..

Great location for getting on freeway, many restaurants around (you have to drive but not far.

The stupid fan in the bathroom was ON constantly! I asked the front desk to fix it. They said they would and DIDN'T! IT drove me nuts! Also, one long day the wouldn't work. We were very tired. Went down to get replacement key. They made me on, again I didn't work. I got ANOTHER key and it didn't work. The desk clerk came up to the room to use the master key & it wouldn't work. So we're told to sit in the lobby until someone could fix it. I was exhausted & tired. I was told by the desk clerk they would compensate me in someway while we waiting to get back into our room. Then a man in suit found us and told us the lock was fixed. I was not compensated in ANYWAY at all.

The breakfast was okay could be better. They should post or remind your guest when and the time of the breakfast. We paid for two days for the breakfast and because we did not know the time on Monday we came down late. We were not able to get breakfast. I think they should at least refunded us back for that one day. We paid for three people. I am very happy with Hilton Garden Inn because Booking.com did not send out our reservation on time and we were not in the Hilton computer system. Booking.com made a big big mistake. But Hilton did a great job in fixing the problem. THANK YOU HILTON GARDEN INN.

I think that when it comes to breakfast THAT YOU PAY FOR they should have the right to let us know the times on when they serve breakfast. I think they should have refunded us back for three people. Because we paid for that breakfast on Monday.

Absolutely everything! The location is great because it's right off the freeway next to shops and restaurants and the casino! The entire facility is beautifully clean. The room was absolutely perfect, clean, smelled fresh. No complaints at all! Only wish we would have stayed there previously rather than save $20

Absolutely nothing we didn't like. Everything is clean, beautiful and the location is wonderful. You really should check the other rates on BOOKING.COM and for $20 more you could stay at this establishment. Outstanding value! (maybe you could differ from the norm and offer an earlier check in? An hour or two really makes a difference in some cases) thank you for a wonderful stay!

There’s a pool with a jacuzzi, a gym & breakfast area.

I asked for housekeeping since I stayed for 3nights & was told we only get room service after the 4th night which is weird because I’ve stayed at other hotels and never had this issue.

Staff were friendly. We had to change rooms because maintenance was off shift and the bathroom lightbulb in our assigned room was out. Staff was quick to help us move.

The rooms were huge, but the bathroom was really small. Barely room for a toothbrush in the vanity, let alone a hairdryer and styling products. Food in the restaurant was great, but served in a box with plastic cutlery. Not the usual Garden Inn standard we are used. Garden Inn is our go to stays, so the one was not in character except for the helpful staff.

rooms in my opinion weren’t worth the 384$ thou. I’ve stayed at a quality inn for much cheaper with more amenities. this was a you pay for the “name” place to stay.

The breakfast was delicious and the staff was friendly. We ate dinner there as well and left a sizable tip for the exceptional service. The room was very clean and the bed and pillows were very comfortable. I would give the room a A+ for comfort and value

Wish the pool was larger, but it's not a resort. Overall the hotel was awesome and I would definitely stay again and recommend to others. I used the gym to, which was decent--again very clean.

Staff was extremely helpful and accommodating to my requests. Considering that this was an emergency trip and I needed space to meet with my family. They were very accommodating of all of us, including my family members dog. Great place to stay, would definitely recommend staying here. I liked the pillows, very comfortable bed and it's pet friendly. They had a keurig coffee maker, microwave and usable mini fridge. It is close to the exit of the freeway,
