This was my second stay in the Keep (one night). After the first stay (two nights), I knew that I would return there. The location benefits from the walking distance of the town centre and Penn Mill Train station (while saving on taxi rides, you enjoy your daily walking exercise through beautiful sceneries). The overall comfort, staff's attitude, and attention to every tiny detail provide the guest with the best experience. Also, the excellent breakfast is worth special mention. In addition, I would like to thank the staff and the owner in particular for the help and support with getting to Bristol Airport (my taxi booking in advance through Booking.com was cancelled at the last minute). Great place with fantastic people.

I cannot think of anything.

The bedroom was decorated lovely it was very spacious with a very big bathroom. The bedroom included a microwave with plates knifes forks spoons and bowls. The hotel even has a utility room with a sink towels iron and ironing board. More toilet rolls tea coffee hot chocolate milk and sugar. The staff are very friendly and helpful. We will definitely stay again. Also I didn't go for breakfast but my husband did, he said the full English was delicious with plenty of choice including yogurt toast cereal juice and fruit.

It's in Yeovil. We only stayed here as we went to a party and I went to visit some family and friends.

The location is ideal - the town centre is on your doorstep and a lovely park is just a 5 minute walk away. I have stayed twice recently and will definitely be going back again soon. The staff are friendly and helpful too. The rooms are very clean, comfy and welcoming. It is obvious that thought has been put into decoration and facilities. The breakfast is very good - I opt for sausages, mushrooms, beans, toast, freshly made fresh fruit salad, fresh yogurt with fruit and nut mix, plus slices of freshly cut pineapple and watermelon, followed by toast and conserves. But there is loads more available including bacon/eggs/hash browns/tomatoes/good selection of cereals and danish pastries. I am delighted to have ‘found’ The Keep!

Nothing to write here.

The room was fabulous and spotlessly clean, with the added bonus of good quality toiletries. The breakfast was truly superb and one of the best I have ever experienced. The staff were really welcoming and extremely pleasant. Couldn't fault anything and we hope to return!

This is the second time myself and my partner have stayed here. We love the suit we stay in. It’s super comfortable and love the added bonus treat of the bathtub in the room. The breakfast is delicious and eggs cooked to order. Lovely selection of hot or cold food items. Self check in is an added bonus so can check in when convenient to you. We can’t wait to return.

Parking is limited or tight if you have a big car like we did. Doesn’t have the nicest views but if you can’t just a night of chilling in a suit then this is the place. Can’t fault it.

Absolutely beautiful place to stay with everything you could possibly want in your room. Even phone charging lamps! Check in was great, you just had a code sent initially on the day to access the main door and then you had a key & fob to collect from inside. Breakfast was absolutely GORGEOUS!!! Help yourself to coffee, tea, juice, toast, cereals, fruit, yoghurt, pastries and the ladies take your order for cooked which was absolutely fantastic quality and portion. (The plant based vegetarian sausages were the best i've had). The ladies ran the breakfast very quickly & seamlessly and the smile and friendliness from the Irish lady was the icing on the top even though she was run ragged.

My bed was a little bit too hard for me (but everybody is different), and room key was very hard to get out of the lock (maybe it was a new key and needs time to wear in). I didn't have any handwash in the dispenser (no bag in it) so just used the shower one. Nothing major to gripe about.

Yeovil seemed a bit quiet, but the Room and facilities and amazing shower made my stay very comfortable. Great breakfast in modern classy dining area. My only concern was parking .. Booking.com showed Free Parking, but it was only after booking I found it was limited first come first served Parking. I couldn’t see the Parking Locations map in reception mentioned and the first 2 car parks said max one hr parking! I did find and overnight Carl park but spent over half hour sorting a parking space out.

The room was airy and comfortable. Nice bed, great shower. Tea and coffee making facilities always welcome. All was very clean. Really good breakfast - loved all the fruit. Coffee wasn't too bad either - so many hotels let themselves down with their breakfast coffee!

Unfortunately, although I'm sure having a fridge is of benefit to some, I had to turn it off because it kept me awake - then had to deal with the dripping! I also found it difficult to get cold water from the bathroom to fill the kettle, so was glad of the bottle provided in the fridge....!

I have to travel to work and stay in Yeovil quite often. The keep is my favourite hotel to stay with. The room are always very nice, the booking and checking in process are hassle free and easy. Morning staff are brilliant and the breakfasts are superb. Great location in town centre.

I was in room four in my last visit. There were quite a few ants in the bathroom facilities (i saw 10 during my stay) This didn't really bother me at all, but i can see other people complaining about it and it does highlight a potential problem.

The Keep is a small boutique hotel in Yeovil. I arrived around 7pm and check in was an unattended affair which involved entering a pin number into a keypad, then collecting my room key from a rack. The entrance hall opened out into a dining area which was already part prepped for the next day's breakfast. The hotel has made laudable attempts to be efficient: LED lighting, movement sensitive lighting in the corridor, a reduced number of bulbs in the bathroom mirror (hopefully an energy-saving measure), no staff. The room itself was compact but spotlessly clean. It had a desk area with power points, microwave, kettle with a good selection of drinks, a fridge with a chilled bottle of tap water, a good double bed with a huge selection of pillows, cushions and bolsters. A decent-size flat screen TV worked perfectly. The en-suite bathroom was very nice, with underfloor heating, and a generously sized shower cubicle. Breakfast involved some self-service and some cooked-to-order eggs, plus plenty of continental options.

Perhaps I'm old-fashioned, but the modern tendency to unmanned everything doesn't make for a welcoming stay at a hotel. Despite this, the hotel was efficient and functional. The one area that I must bring up as needing improvement was the Cost Effective Toilet Paper. The last time I saw paper this thin, David Carradine, playing Shaolin monk Kwai Chang Caine in the TV series Kung Fu, had to traverse a paper-covered floor without leaving a mark or tearing the paper. This toilet paper would catch out the lightest of monks. Best advice is: Use With Caution. Toilet paper aside, this is a hotel I would recommend overall. It is well-priced, spotlessly clean, comfortable and efficiently run.
