Great breakfast good choice Multiple courses if you wanted. Room was clean and tidy large bed , room was a good plenty of space for clothes bags etc, also kettle tea coffee and tv for good measure. Friendly staff always ready to help.

There was a crack in window pane would benefit if it was double glazed as traffic noise started around 5 am ok if you’re used to it not so good when you’re not, basin in en suite wouldn’t hold water new seal to plug required not a big issue.

The property is well situated and within easy walking distance of the town. Off-street parking is a welcome bonus although access could be a little tight with a large car. Our room was clean, bright and airy and the owners thoughtfully provided an air-conditioning unit which was a boon during the uncharacteristically (at least for Britain) hot weather. The breakfast menu was excellent as was the service, presentation and quality of the food. There is no lift in this hotel but the steps to the first floor are shallow and therefore relatively easy to ascend. Access to the second floor a little more difficult.

Nothing we did not like, all was absolutely fine.

The locality as we could leave the car and go on walks in the area with the option of using it if weather had been bad to go to surrounding areas like Tattershall and Horncastle. The staff were very welcoming and they provided a first class breakfast too. Our room was the standard double and was immaculately clean. The shower was spotless but quite small to move around in but adequate for our needs.

Nothing really just could have had something to put your own toiletries in whilst showering. The clothes rail is situated near the Tea facilities so perhaps could have been put somewhere else. Other than that we were very happy with our room.

Rebecca (with her Dad sometimes) and Lily looked after us very well, always cheery and helpful. The beds are comfortable and everywhere is very clean. The shower in the bathroom was excellent, 5 star quality. Brian, the Jack Russell, is very attentive!

We had a front room ( number 4) and the traffic starts around 0600, usually not too loud unless it is a farm tractor. The room has no proper dressing table which ladies might find difficult and the only drawer space is in small, bedside cabinets which could be a problem for guests who want to stay a week or more.

Everything was wonderful - the room was lovely, nice and clean, the shower was good, shower gel was provided in the shower cubicle. The welcome was a warm one from the staff and the man went above and beyond by letting us plug in our vehicle battery overnight because it had gone flat on the journey up. The breakfast was fresh, well-cooked and delicious. I would definitely stay there again.

Everything was excellent. The only thing was that a lady came to serve us breakfast but didn't offer us juice or toast, whereas when the man went to the adjacent table to us, the couple sitting there were offered both of these things.

Attentive and friendly staff, not overbearing. Choice at breakfast was good, plentiful and cooked beautifully. Additional tea/coffee for hospitality tray readily available if needed. Great to see many original features of the Edwardian building retained.

I like to see the menu in the room to peruse at leisure before breakfast - just a personal preference, not in any way a poor reflection on the guest house.

It was like a home away from home. Very cosy, beautifully decorated and clean. The manager was very welcoming and friendly and the breakfast was delicious. We couldn’t fault it.

There wasn’t anything we didn’t like but the only 2 comments we would make is that our car struggled to fit in the small car park (not the owners fault) and there was no bath and I normally like a bath where I stay (but the property clearly could not fit this in the room so isn’t a negative).

My partner and I stayed in The Claremont in June 2022 for a wedding we were attending. Overall we had a lovely stay. The check in was easy and we were welcomed by friendly, relaxed and knowledgable staff. The hotel is well located a stones throw from the town centre. Our room was comfy and clean and I enjoyed a very good veggie fry up the next morning.

Our room was located next to the second floor staircase and was consequently quite noisy late at night and in the morning. But this was no fault of the hotel!

Great friendly place to stay, Barbara was so helpful, advised about local decent restaurants for the two nights we stayed and gave us a bus timetable into Lincoln as we were going to the Christmas markets the rooms was furnished to a high standard, some areas just need a little TLC, we stayed in room 5, this is a large room with a big bathroom, very comfortable bed and a good night's sleep, it was cold outside but the room was nice and warm, keeping the temperature regulated was easy using the radiators (2) adjustment valves, for breakfast we had the full English and very tasty it was, I would highly recommend the Claremont without hesitation and the village of woodhall spa is a very nice place to visit, home of the famous Dam Busters squadron, it also has a brilliant Golf course.

The Old sash windows need looking at as they don't stay open, but they are in keeping with the building.

A very friendly welcome and an excellent breakfast. We were able to change our room with no fuss when we asked to be out to the back rather than on the road at the front.

No complaints really. It would be good for travellers our age if they had a lift to the first floor. But they were very good about carrying our cases up for us.
