Torbay Court Hotel

Friendly and helpful staff. Very clean and well presented rooms. Food and drink facilities. Very nice food. Great location too.

No negatives to comment on. I would visit and stay here again. I ended up booking this hotel whilst leaving another due to the previous being in a terrible state and it being missold in this site.

Staff nice and polite.comfy clean room .relaxing lounge .good bar . A hearty breakfast .

No rush after breakfast. 11 am leave room .even leave car parked till pm .we would recommend this friendly hotel

After reading some of the reviews for this hotel I was a bit apprehensive, however I am delighted to say that it seems the majority of negative reviews are either malicious, Ilinformed or downright baseless. The staff were lovely and courteous. The room was exceptionally clean. Unfortunately we didn't get to try the food.

The lift is nowhere near adequate size for anyone with a pushchair or a sizable wheelchair, however there is very little that can be done to remedy that and the walls are quite thin as we could hear the music from the bar, however it stops at a reasonable time 22.30 which is not late.

The hotel is in a prime location with parking. Friendly welcoming staff.The hotel was very clean and very quiet at night. The breakfast was fantastic, perfect poached eggs.The room was clean,good size and lovely bathroom. The bar area was welcoming, plenty of comfortable chairs and settees and bar prices were good, On the first night we had a bar meal which was excellent. Wholeheartedly recommend this hotel and offers value for money,great location,parking and very QUIET.

Absolutely nothing. For the price it was excellent to be 5 minutes from the sea front.

Nice Modern bathroom but shower grouting needed cleaning, so let it down. Part of room missed the duster No yougurt, granola or pastries at breakfast - but we were last guest there & appreciate bugets

The staff were very nice and helpful, the hotel is a very dog friendly hotel which was great for us as we had our four legged friend! The location was perfect for us too, a nice walk to the seafront and town which suited us perfectly.

The rooms were good for us, the beds were really comfortable, If I am being picky then the shower wasn't the best. It didn't affect our stay but did notice the pressure wasn't brilliant which I can imagine others wouldn't be satisfied with. But for what we paid, and booking so late notice, I think the hotel was good value for money!

The cleanliness and the staff

No heating in bathroom and the water only trickled out of taps.

We stayed in 3 hotels/B&B's in Paignton over the space of a couple of months and not only was this the cheapest, it was by far the best. It has a pleasing main lobby and large bar/restaurant. The staff were friendly and the rooms were more than comfortable enough for the price. I was travelling with my elderly mother and requested a ground floor room as close to the entrance as possible, and that is exactly what we got. The previous 2 hotels weren't as accommodating. I would definitely consider this hotel again and would recommend to anyone.

The mattress on the single bed left me with the feeling that I was going to roll of onto the floor. That said, we stayed in 2 other hotels in the area whose beds were exactly the same! Other than that I have absolutely no complaints.

hotel was in the process of updating the tiled floor walls certainly gave a good 1st impression on arrival ,

greeting by the owner was a bit off as we asked if we could book in earlier and seemed stressed , the whole reason for are weekend away , my job & husband’s job are stressful just a nice welcome could of made it so much nicer , please don’t read Meg reviews yes it needs updating but it takes time and money think of how your stay was and not so much on decor,I’m very fussy and I would stay here again it’s a great location and family room was quite at night. thanks Louise for a great service your definitely an asset to the hotel.

The room was spacious with good storage. The bed was very comfortable and had deep pillows. I was very satisfied with my room. The breakfast and dinner were always piping hot. I found all the staff very helpful and friendly.

The position of the bedside lights could be improved. Also the toilet roll kept on falling off the holder. It was not in the best position. I would have appreciated a mirror in the bedroom for drying my hair.
