Grove House Guest House

The food was various and delicious. Everything fresh and prepared straight before the consumption. Room was very nice and clean. Bed was made everyday for us and all dishes replaced with clean ones. Very nice and kind personel. Definitely recommend that place and be back again.

Little problem with finding place, GPS directs to a different place, but very near. Sign visible only from one side of the road, that is why I missed it.

Parking was available on site. We were met by our friendly host who went through everything to do with the rooms, so all was clear. There was a co-op conveniently just across the road. Rooms were a good size and en suite. Appreciated the option to choose ground floor rooms. Breakfast was ordered in advance and the combination of continental and cooked was very nice for the price point. Great value for money and excellent service from the host. Would highly recommend as a stop over if travelling through the area and in need of a decent place to sleep.

As residents on the ground floor, there was quite a bit of noise as other guests came up and down the stairs. Some noise from pedestrian crossing outside of window of twin room but not dreadful. Not really a tourist area but if you're needing to stay around here, this is a great option.

A very tidy small guest house, and the hosting couple was extremely friendly and caring. The place was exactly as described and I was very happy I stayed there. Would definitely come again! The breakfast is delicious, filling and it's nice you can choose what you like. All made fresh. The location was perfect, just under 10 mins from Telford center and bus stop 50 metres from the front door. Very quiet so easy to get a good sleep in their comfortable beds.

No complaints whatsoever!

I absolutely loved my entire stay and didn't expect it to be that great. The host was so considerate, thoughtful and so lovely. I needed to get up for 3.40am for wedding work and I paid for breakfast. The host catered for me and made sure I got to choose my own cereal and even left me some milk, crossiants, a bowl, spoon and some milk and the list goes on. The process was so effortless, the property smelt so good and I'm a major clean freak so Absolutely everything's was spotless. I was scared I was going to get cold too but the heating was on, the property also had enough lighting and plugs and everything I needed was all there. If I have any reason to come back to Telford, I know exactly where I shall be staying again!!

I chose this guesthouse as it was on route to RAF Cosford Air Show, it had lots of fabulous reviews which definitely helped me choose to stay at this guesthouse, the hosts were very welcoming and informative of the area, we had to pre-book breakfast which we didn't mind doing and we weren't disappointed I had poached egg on toast and a croissant with marmalade and tea my husband had cereal, toast and tea which he enjoyed we were really well looked after.

You pre-order your breakfast, and there is an ample choice of cooked fayre as well as cereal, yoghurt, Croissant,Toast. As well as fruit juice and a selection of Tea and coffee. I require Decaf Tea, supplied no problem. The cooked breakfast consisted of 2 bacon 2 Sausage, egg, mushroom, beans, hash brown, plus the option of grilled or tinned tomato and fried bread. It was piping hot and all freshly cooked, superb. The room was an ample size, clean, the double bed comfortable. There was only the option of a shower, but that was most refreshing. Nearby ( less than 50yds) is a well provisioned Co-op convenience store and cash point machine. About a mile away is an Aldi. I found it easy to find and close to the major road network so access to Telford and surrounding areas was not a problem (I was traveling by Car)

A lovely hotel to stay in and great for the Wales Comic Con Telford Takeover. I stayed in room 1, which is desperate from the other rooms and basically your own house. When you arrive at the hotel you are shown around by Lesley and given a breakfast menu, which you fill and hand back in. I stayed two nights for the Wales Comic Con Telford Takeover and you can easily get there by bus or uber. The bus is number 7 and it takes about 12 minutes, 6 minutes on the bus and 6 minutes walking. You can also use uber that takes 6 minutes, but I failed to find a driver two times so the bus is a great backup.

My only nitpick is that the TV doesn't have a USB port, so I couldn't use a memory stick.

We were greeted with a nice smile after a long drive of over 3 hours. We were given the our key to the room, the room was more than adequate, very clean, very warm, lots of space, lots of draws and storage space if needed. The shower was very clean, they provided lots of soaps and creams if you left yours at home. We were informed that there will a sheet in our room asking what we would like for breakfast and what we would want to eat in the morning. We gave it back straight away. There were lots options of full English or continental or a mixture of both depending on how much someone can eat for breakfast. Lots of choices of cereals, juices, breads or toast if that is prefered. Everything that you would expect in 4 star hotel was available in this guest house, all done with a personal touch. Thank you very much, a well run guest house, will definitely be back again in Oct as it is central to the reason we were in Telford in the first place. See you next month.

There was nothing that I didn't like. Perfect stay for the weekend.

Clean, comfy, cosy and non-corporate! Hosts very welcoming and accommodating to my mobility needs even before I arrived. Plenty of plug points, fresh clean and good quality bedding, clever use of space to provide guests with everything they need such as: fold down shelf on wall mirror, full length mirror wardrobe, soap/shower gel wall dispensers. Oh, and the shower I wish I had at home, marvellous. Fresh fluffy towels, unexpected decent hairdryer, in room tea n coffee etc. with a proper kettle. Iron and ironing board freely available and accessible for guests. Guest have own entrance to property and key so no access restrictions. Breakfast is plentiful, perfectly cooked to my preference requests and the only grease was the welcomed butter I applied to my hot toast! Will be my 'go to' accommodation in future when visiting family in Telford and I have sampled many over the years. Nice job team!

Struggling to find anything. If I were to suggest anything it might be some kind of sheltered awning in the considerately provided smoking area. Bearing in mind the weather was particularly nasty during my stay, this suggestion would not be something that I consider as a fault in any way.

So I got lost. I typed in the postcode instead of Grove House guest house (I blame the heatwave!!) The husband stayed on the phone with me while Lesley (his wife) came to look for me!!! :'-) Not to mention being kind enough to allow me to have breakfast to go!! Yes - if you stay here, you will feel like you are royalty! The hosts were beyond exceptional! Thank you Lesley and your husband (sorry that I didn't catch his name) for your hospitality and love. I want to return already!! If you need a bus into the town centre / Telford central station, the number 7 bus stops right outside the guest house and there's also a co-op across the street! :-)

A small thing but that my en-suite wasn't in the room. Needless to say, it was all mine and literally 5 steps away so not a biggie.
