The owners were absolutely brilliant and friendly and made us very welcome the minute we arrived. The chef was very polite and friendly. The food and restaurant/bar was excellent 👌 and the Inn was very quirky. The room was comfortable . Lovely place, the owners have done very well so far too this listed building. Loved the headboard and shower 🚿 😍

Baring in mind the owners are still doing more to the rooms, I think the room could do with a fresh coat of paint. Ideas, hand rail for the steps to the bathroom and a mirror 🪞 or two for the rooms.. Tv wasn't working that well. Maybe run TV from the sky dish and not a normal aerial due to the thickness of the walls.

The staff are excellent and friendly, the building is a listed building and therefore old and needs constant attention so you have to have an open mind e.g. very steep staircases secondary double glazing property is on a main road so xan have traffic noise at times.

The blind in our room did not work so very bright from dawn 5.a.m, the tiles behind the sink are coming off the wall, there is a threshold step as you leave the bedroom to enter the bathroom, this is a trip hazard but no notice advising you of this ? If you go to the bathroom in the night and forget the threshold is there you will trip, we are both in our 70's but where put in a room in the attic up 3 flights of steep stairs ? The continental breakfast consists of a choice of 3 cereals and toast. We understand that this property is a work in progress but the cost of staying here was higher than our next hotel The Crown Plaza in Stratford upon Avon which was £30 cheaper and far superior !

staff was excellent nothing to much trouble for them they work very hard to give top customers service. food was excellent I will definitely stay there again if touring the area.

no taxi service in the area to take us to venue of the wedding Blackwell grange, although it’s not the Halfords Bridge inn fault some thing should be arranged with taxi firm to arrange this as the staff say they are fully booked up all summer for weddings at Blackwell grange. we had to drive there back out selves in which if this had been know we would gone home to Birmingham not stayed over. As this was point in staying over so we could enjoy our day/ night with out sorting about driving.

You have to remember when thinking of booking that this is a 16th century coaching inn so is close to the road. There is ample parking on site. The owners, Ninder and Runj are exceptional hosts and went out of their way to make us feel at "home" without being overbearing. They are undertaking the task of renovating what was a somewhat run down brewery owned pub with taste, with the building being listed this is not an easy task but the couple have put their heart and soul into it. As a result our room was well appointed, of good size, comfy bed and good shower with Egyptian cotton towels. The bar area was clean and bright with a good range of beers etc and large inglenook fire. There is a separate dining area which looked impressive but not tried. The menu, although not extensive, gave us two really good value for money meals as did the full-english breakfast the following morning.

Nothing!

What a wonderfully quirky family suite. The low beams add to the character, just watch your head! The room was clean, spacious and comfortable and the team were welcoming, friendly and professional. The full English in the morning was cooked to our liking and perfect to set us up for the day. The location worked well for us since we were there to enjoy the great live music of Foolish Minds (look them up on Spotify) who played us into the New Year. Fully recommend for a night's stay.

Minor constructive comment: Whilst not cold, the heating could have been switched on earlier.

We were a little apprehensive about the booking on arrival at the hotel, myself especially as I had made the booking for 3 rooms and it appeared a little neglected. On the site it stated that rooms would not be available till 5pm which seemed a little late to me and I requested the possibility of access between 3 or 4pm but I didn't get a reply. We had travelled down from Manchester for a funeral, arrived about 3.15pm and the hotel was closed so we drove around for a while to familiarize ourselves with the area and returned around 5pm when they were just opening up. The young lady in reception was very pleasant and helpful and showed us to our rooms which were a lot better than we anticipated, clean, everything you needed and comfy beds, not particularly big rooms but adequate. It's a fairly quiet area and I don't think there are many other hotels/restaurants so once we had all settled in we ate there. The food was excellent. Our party of six all had different meals and sent our compliments to the chef. Breakfast wasn't included and was an additional £10 per person, however there was plenty of choice (beverages, cereal, choice of cooked breakfast) and it was well cooked. No-one had any complaints. Overall it was an extremely good stay and I would definitely recommend it.

An earlier check-in time.

The staff were really friendly and couldn’t be more helpful and thoughtful. The breakfasts were really tasty and the staff couldn’t have been more attentive, smiley and lovely. Halford village is gorgeous for a little walk around.

Our room wasn’t the nicest unfortunately but we saw our friend’s room and it was beautifully refurbished. The staff member who showed us our room did mention that they were in the middle of refurbishments so maybe ours was next. For that reason it would have been nice to have been charged less for our stay then we were because I think the room was very expensive for the way it is now. On another note, the beams and the low roof in the room and the bathroom were impossible not to hit your head on no matter how careful you were! I know they are a period feature though, they look nice, they’re just a little painful!

The staff were very welcoming, helpful and friendly. The food (evening meal and breakfast) was fantastic - top notch quality. The beer was excellent - a hand pulled Cotswold and the Guinness too

The lack of decent 4g data connection.... ....this is not their fault and could be improved anytime....I have lived where there was no 4g data but now it's good
