We had a wonderful stay at Caboose. The room was very comfortable with a great mattress whilst the bathroom was modern and spacious. A highlight was the breakfast with plenty of delicious vegetarian and vegan options. It made a great start to the day. The staff were very helpful and let us leave our luggage after check out whilst we explored Salisbury. Caboose is a short stroll from the station where we left our car in the long term carpark. Overall it was a first rate experience. The funky bar/breakfast area is an also a delight. We couldn’t have been happier.

Very comfortable well-appointed rooms. Lots of attention to detail. Great cooked to order breakfast in the cozy bar/dining room, which is decorated very imaginatively in the early 20th century style of the "Caboose" from which the name is taken. Great spot for a glass of wine or evening cocktail. Easy walk to a couple of nice restaurants in neighborhood, and center of town. No views, but very quiet, considering the train station across the street.( This did not impact noisewise at all. )

Did not realize the rooms would be on floor 3 (2 if you're European) with no lift.. We were traveling for three weeks, so there was a bit of luggage that needed to be hauled up and down.

Breakfast was exceptional and the staff's attention to some of our party's allergies made us feel very safe and cared for. The selections were all delicious and plentiful. The location was great, a few steps from the train station and we also were given good advice from staff regarding using the public bus to get to our venue in Wilton--cheap and almost door to door. Would highly recommend!!

Two restaurants were recommended to us in town and we made reservations at both--Tinga (Mexican) and Hixon (a steakhouse). Tinga's staff was very nice, but the food was okay, but not great. Hixon's service was abysmal, very disappointing--could not get water brought to table, asked several times, could not get clear answers to allergy questions, slow, inattentive service, food okay , but shared sides were brought out without serving utensils. Would not recommend.

Small; lovely; and quirky with nice staff. Clean and comfortable in a useful location with parking at the station at a cost. Nice breakfast and they managed to book us a taxi when we failed through numerous companies. Would stay again!

We wanted to get a drink at the bar but were told it's table service only but there are no tables. We were offered to take a drink to our rooms which wasn't the purpose for 6 friends. It appeared when we looked later there was an outside area? which wasn't being used for some reason but we weren't offered that. Not a big issue but would have been ideal to stay there where our taxi was picking us up.

If you like a quirky 1920/30s style boutique hotel this is for you. The bar, restaurant is beautifully furnished with cosy booths and interesting touches reminiscent of the railway with overhead luggage racks and a bar/ reception area decorated with old steamer trunks and gold palms. Beyond the lobby is a cool if tight flight of stairs leading up to the small number of rooms. Inside these modern, conveniences nestle next to tasteful decorative furniture. A large comfortable bed is surrounded by a good sized room with vintage style tables. The bathroom is remarkably clean and modern with a rain shower and lovely fresh toiletries. On the more technical side there is a good working Wi-fi connection, air con, TV and drinks station with a good selection of teas. While the lobby is not always open there is a separate entrance/exit activated by the room key giving independence to the guest. The proximity to the railway means it is easy to reach when you come off the train while still being within walking distance of a range of restaurants, pubs and the town. My husband and I felt flapper attire and straw boaters should be mandatory! Last but by no means least the breakfast was stunning. A pleasant and considerate host guides you through a limited menu which allows a hot and cold dish, juice and hot drinks. More than enough to fortify you for your tour of the area.

There is some noise from the trains depending on which room you occupy, although this decreases during the night and the gentle rumble did not disturb our sleep. If you’re looking for views there are none to mention but this is hardly a problem as Salisbury is a place to visit not look through a window at.

Gorgeously quirky 1920's themed cocktail bar/breakfast room with great decor - we had a superb breakfast (lots of lovely food options and delicious just-squeezed orange juice). The en suite room was lovely, well maintained and exceptionally clean and, although the window overlooked 2 large steel extractor vents on a roof, the rooftop was also nicely painted and there were plants, thoughtfully adorning it to make it attractive. The double glazing blocked most exterior sounds. Caboose it directly opposite the train track, literally 1 minute walk to the station and an easy 4 minutes stroll to the edge of the town centre.

It's a shame there isn't easy adjacent parking. As we arrived at 6.30pm we were able to park opposite Caboose free for 30 mins (max) then leave the car there for the night as its a '7pm til 8am' free parking zone . But, after the 30 mins (max) we then needed to move the car at 8.30am to a car park (the nearest is the Central car park, 5 minutes walk away and was £3 for 2 hours vs the train station which is a £9.90 set charge!) After breakfast we then needed to collect the car in order to load our baggage. If travelling light or leaving before 8.30am it wouldnt have been any trouble but we weren't doing either!!

Caboose was close to perfection - a perfect boutique "hotel" where every detail seems to have been practically and artistically delivered with a lot of generous quality. In addition all the staff were so welcoming, friendly and helpful. The breakfast was superb, waitress service delivering a lot of choices, all piping hot; lovely beds, lovely showers, lovely decoration and pictures on the walls (and unlike many hotels collections of pictures that somebody has thought about). The location beside the station on the edge of the old town and ten minutes from the cathedral was another bonus. Thank you to everyone who looked after us for a lovely stay. Best wishes David and Susan.

Breakfast was great - really good food and service. The room was comfortable, the staff very helpful and the location near the station and a great walking route into the centre and the cathedral. Some of the best shops and cafes in town are nearby. The whole place is also beautifully decorated, especially the 1920s style bar which is also where you have breakfast and there is a great atmosphere and character to the hotel.

The rooms are a little small but good design makes the best of this. Not much not to like!

Close to the train station and within walking distance to all major attractions. The location to the train station and parking right across the street was convenient and easy. We brought 2 carry on suitcases and it was no trouble navigating the city. Our room was one flight of stairs away. Access to the building was simple and easy after hours too. Breakfast was also complimentary and delicious. Top notch staff.

I think for a one night stay it was perfect but not sure about a week long stay. The room was pretty tight to open up suitcases.

Our room was lovely with a very comfy bed and spotlessly clean. Everything was top quality, from the tea and coffee options to the toiletries in the bathroom. Gorgeous fluffy white towels, and plenty of them! Breakfast, too, was plentiful and delicious, and again, every item was top quality. Lots of choice though we opted for the full English and did not regret it. I was pleased they had non- dairy milk options as standard! Service was quick, unobtrusive, and friendly at all times. A charming, quirky BnB with thoughtful decor and excellent value for money. Easy reach of Salisbury Station and the town centre.

Can't think of anything.
