M6 motorway & local villages nearby. Very clean country pub with nice garden & parking. Quiet location in a small village. Room was upstairs (no lift). Our room had small double bed, (comfy) short rail for clothes, one wall shelf & one bedside cabinet. Tea & coffee facilities were on a small side table. Bathroom has good size shower cubicle, storage unit and plenty of room to move around safely. Very good food; breakfasts & dinners, with good quality products cooked perfectly. Staff friendly and helpful. Would stay again; perhaps in a larger room.

Our room was really more suited as a single room. There was nowhere to store suitcases, we were stepping over them beside the bed. TV was sited on the wall just inside the room. We had to be careful not to walk into it when entering the room.

The female staff were exceptionally helpful and very pleasant. I enquired about walking and one of them suggested a route. Location of The Globe is a bit off the M6 but well worth it (with those great walks around). Food was also great. Will def return with my hubby as he’s a foodie too. Little lounge at the end had a fridge with extra milks in, nice touch. Not sure about the ‘pre order breakfast the night before’ thing in pubs etc. I for one am never sure what I want until the morning, depending also on what I’d eaten the night before. I won’t hold this against them though as the good def outweighed this minuscule bad point. Will def be back as a journey break up point from Kent to the Hebrides!

Room small but perfectly ok for one. My shower wasn’t great, just a dribble more then a spray. My room was over the restaurant area and I could hear every word the diners were saying, which I found amusing. Fortunately the pub didn’t stay open too late, even though it was a Saturday night, so this did not affect my sleep……unless the G&T’s helped!

Loved that it was a traditional village pub, as soon as you walk in the atmosphere is friendly and cosy. The staff are exceptional - especially two young ladies that were working whilst we were there. They were friendly, knowledgeable and extremely competent - I hope the management realise what a talent they have and they deserve a bonus / pay rise. The bedroom was spotlessly clean, fabulous on suite, lovely crisp white bed linen and very comfy bed - very quiet too. We had dinner and breakfast there - the food is excellent. I cannot fault this establishment and will definitely visit again.

The room was large enough, really comfy bed. Bathroom was large with a shower door that didn't leak.... makes a change. Shower really powerful, white fluffy towels, huge towel radiator. A mirror that became steam free almost instantly and because it was lit easy to put your make-up on, critical for a woman. Breakfast was the best I've had for ages, worth it just for that. Staff really warm and welcoming. A few miles off the beaten track, which was challenging on a dark night but well worth it. Gem of a place, highly recommend

Just found the location challenging but it's worth it

Very welcoming staff on arrival showing us to our room. Cosy bar and restaurant. Meals were exceptional. Breakfast, perfection on a plate. Nothing a bother to any of the staff. Kelly who was on duty was very kind and friendly. As was the lady on breakfast duty.

Very steep stairs up to rooms but this is a very old building and not the best for disabled. This is no fault of the owner . We should have enquired about this when booking. Very noisy plumbing/ heating which woke me up early in the morning.

We booked this as a stop off on the way home. What a Fantastic find. The room was big enough for our needs. The shower room was bigger than we expected. The cleanliness of the room and shower was exceptional. The bed was comfy and we both had a good nights sleep. All of the staff were friendly and polite. Would highly recommend the cooked breakfast.

Actually there weren't and bad points. Even managed to get up the stairs on my crutches.

Friendly reception and the service was exceptional. The food was superb and they catered for all aspects of a gluten free diet. The menu was excellent and the baked cod was the best I’ve ever eaten. The staff were extremely accommodating and I would certainly recommend The Globe to family and friends. They certainly deserve the highest rating possible!

the room was decorated really well. Cute and cosy. easy to reach from the motorway. spotlessly clean and lovely crisp bedsheets. Breakfast was one of the best I’ve ever had. would definitely visit again

the bedroom had a glass panel above the door and guests kept switching the hall light on and off as they came to bed which was a bit annoying as the light shone into the room but otherwise no complaints.

The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was good although lacking in bedroom furniture (i.e. no wardrobe or chest of drawers) The en-suite was modern with good facilities and an excellent shower. We had our evening meal in the pub and the food was very good, so too was the breakfast.

The bedroom wasn't big enough to have much storage facility so it lacked a wardrobe and drawers. In hot weather a fan would be useful since with the window open you were aware of the traffic on the M6 less than a quarter of a mile away

Warm welcome and the room has almost everything you need. Comfortable bed. Fabulous food and quality beer reasonably priced.

TV has very poor signal making it almost unwatchable. Would like bedside table on both sides of the bed. Would have liked orange juice in fridge and maybe some pastries as we could not stay for breakfast.
