We didn’t partake of the breakfast facilities. At £110 for the night , would have thought breakfast would have been included at that price . Location was ideal for us as we’ve stayed previously when it was a Premier Inn . Didn’t want a City Centre Hotel .

No complaints with the accommodation but not overly impressed with some of the staff ( with the exception of Charlotte ) in the adjoining Restaurant. Walked in to book a table , however , they seemed somewhat disinterested . But I have to say the meal more than made up for it . Had the 8oz Rump Steak ; one of the best I’ve had in a long time .

It was OK for one night stay as we had a early morning Funeral the next day. There was a bit of noise at 2.15 am slamming doors and raised Vioces, we said to the receptionist in the morning and apparently there was wedding guest's staying. But would book and stay another time. Would have been nice to have had two chairs.

We think that if wedding or party guests were staying that they could have been put a bit further away frome the entrance. We were happy with the room we had and a bonus there was no stairs. Obviously the bowman doesn't always have wedding guests, just unfortunately they did at the same time we had booked. But would definitely visit again.

The accommodation was excellent, & very clean. Only downside was it was a little noisy on the sat evening with young people coming & going on the steps outside quite late. Staff were friendly & knowledgeable

The breakfast prices were very misleading . £6 per person for continental breakfast wether adult or children & then extra for the cooked breakfast. Nearly £24 for 3 pancakes & 1 croissant, 3 child breakfasts that none of us finished as it wasn't very hot or well cooked. Was given a cooked breakfast despite asking for scrambled eggs only. Didn't have breakfast after that. Ordered 2 burgers for the children on the evening & only received one, 2 hungry children shared the burgers as not willing to wait for the 2nd .

It was a mad weekend due to booking errors by previous manager, but the staff were all lovely and so helpful, from the red haired cleaner who showed us how to work the TV to Chris the manager who was constantly smiling and upbeat, and a lovely chatty waitress called Gina. The Heating failed in the room so a heater was brought. Chris even managed to squeeze a table booking in for us even though it was chocker.

The whole place is very shabby, NOT dirty, it it needs a good overrhaul, from the ripped wallpaper in the pub, I suspect badly removed Christmas decorations as it's around all of the windows, the heating in our room not working, the loo didn't flush without force on the flush button, just generall updates needed. I'm hoping green king has got this one in their sights for a good update. However, we will be back

Where the rooms we’re is lovely and secure little court yard, pub just across too and food was top. We ate dinner and breakfast and couldn’t fault any of it. Atmosphere was good and all staff were friendly, polite. Room was smart, clean and had everything you needed. Location was great as we caught the tram into the city which was cheap, easy and regular. We would definitely come stay again and would recommend.

The only thing was the bathroom fan was a bit noisy. Otherwise nothing else.

Great location close to superb tram service into Notts city centre. Excellent value for money. The staff and all very smiley and really very helpful. Breakfast is very good value and to get a pretty damn good 16oz Rib-eye streak cooked properly for £16.49 is ridiculous value for money. The room was clean and tidy. Good TV. Safe off-road parking. Decent Wifi. Also appreciated the accommodation block being separate from the pub! At £41.00 per night for room only it is very hard to find anything to complain about.

Whilst the room was clean & tidy it really could do with a better standard of redecoration - some areas of the walls have been very inexpertly patch painted with a very slightly different colour of emulsion. The shower room was clean and functional with good water pressure from the shower. Looking like ir could be due for refurbishment soonish though.

Very clean, spacious room and great that our granddaughter had a proper bed. Restaurant was good value for money and the food cooked well for “pub” fare. Overall the staff were very welcoming and helpful in both the hotel and pub even when it was very busy. A very pleasant stay.

There was a very chemically smelling air freshener in the room which was overwhelming and even remained on the clothes when we came home. The continental breakfast needs improvement. There were no mugs/cups for the coffee/tea or plates on both mornings and it took several attempts to acquire some. The pastries and croissants were stale, yoghurt warm on both days and no fruit available on the second morning.

As a budget stopover this place was great. A warm, clean, sizeable bedroom and a comfy bed fufilled our needs for a two night stay. Check in and out were easy and the staff pleasant and helpful.

On the Friday evening there was a noisy disco in the pub that the accomodation is a part of. The double glazing cut out some of the noise, but the sound coming from the pub was very loud when the windows were open. Our stay here though was a positive experience and we would stay here again.

The property has a restaurant and bar which appears to be popular in the area hence a lively vibe; the rooms of the guests are in a separate building a few steps away so it is still quiet in your room; breakfast is very good, hot and filling, and cooked to your request.

The Wi-Fi signal in the room we were assigned to was very weak and practically non-existent. There was a badly stained armchair in the room that looks very dirty I would not even put my bags on it. They should either clean or remove this armchair because it does not give a good impression as far as cleanliness of the room is concerned - my thinking was that if they cannot clean the armchair, how much more the carpet, so being barefoot in the room was out of the question for me. Don’t get me wrong though - the rest of the room looks clean, beds are white, clean and comfortable

Recently stayed at the Bowman for 3 nights whilst attending a wedding in the area. Room was very good spacious and clean. There was a fan in the room which was a bonus due to the hot weather. The staff at both the hotel and the pub/restaurant where AMAZING so friendly and honestly nothing was any trouble for them. One of the housekeeping team even went and got us some ice for our water from the pub. There is also a large secure car park. We had breakfast in the pub next door included in the price of our stay. Lots of choice and very nice. We also ate at the restaurant a couple of times they have a good selection on offer and again the staff were fabulous even when it was really busy. Overall excellent value for money and truly lovely staff. Thankyou.
