It was good to be able to park on site given the hotel's centre of town location. Check in was efficient and were we made to feel very welcome. The bedroom was spacious with a seating area, large flat screen TV and a good sized bathroom. Wifi was complimentary and of good quality. We thoroughly enjoyed our Indian meal in the evening. The breakfast was cooked to order and was very good. The staff were very friendly. We enjoyed our stay.

Fantastic hotel with very friendly staff. Special mentions to Sophie and Sasha (sorry I may have that name wrong) who helped me open my bedroom window. Nicely decorated throughout, , newly fitted soft carpets upstairs on landing and in rooms. Extremely comfortable bed , Room 117, I slept like a log !!! Plenty of coffee and tea supplies and kettle. Big TV cleverly inserted in to wall. Adequate wardrobe space. Mirror well placed longer length. Special mention also to Aberdeen Dave the night porter who was also very friendly and informative. Lovely conservatory effect with door opening out on to patio area with tables and parasols on lovely decking area. Definitely recommend staying here and hope to stay again soon. Nice chats with customers enjoying a Sunday pint in the sunshine who were very welcoming. Thank you Harboro Hotel, a huge asset to the Town.

Couldn't fault anything.

Arrived on one of the hottest weekend in Sept 23, so plenty of outside seating, great choice of food from menu, including one best Indian iv ever had, and the portion size is very good, good affordable price too both on food and drink, will definitely stay again when in the area.

Outside seating could become more comfortable wooden seats for 6hrs, breakfast food was great but service was a little slow on the Saturday, may be do to staff shortage or cooked to order, perhaps start cooking early ready for the guests.

The room was quite small but well appointed. Looked newly decorated. Decent wall mounted TV. I even found out how to put subtitles on, as I'm hard of hearing. It has Indian & English kitchens and the restaurant food was superb. Although it's popular with locals at weekends so you really need to book, but, they did a great job of accommodating extra meal guests between booked slots.

The shower tap was broken and difficult to reattach, so it was hard turning the shower off. It didn't bother me, as there was not many stairs, but it's worth noting it has no lifts.

It’s right in the town centre, with parking. Very clean room, comfy bed, en-suite & the guy that checked us in was soooooo lovely 😃. We went over the August bank holiday & the pub was dead, I was a little concerned before my stay about some of the reviews maybe that’s why it was quiet ! Can only speak for myself & my experience was 10 out of 10.

Nothing really - the shower over the bath is on a mixer tap and not on the wall but we only stayed one night so no issues with it. The water was lovely & warm.

bar modern and lovely Xmas decorations, restaurant clean and comfortable, and location perfect, 5 minutes walk to the centre, drinks snd food very reasonably priced

Although our room was decorated lovely and bathroom beautiful it lacked finishing touches. room 103 door handle screws loose so wouldn’t shut without force, and you could tell it wasn’t professionally fitted, tea and coffee facilities on bed side table as no room anywhere else as room very small, no blinds up At bathroom window so felt quiet exposed, blinds in living area broken. corridors need a lick of paint but can see the hotel is being revamped so that’s probably on the list

Rooms were good, and whilst not the biggest, certainly had all the facilities you would expect; TV (decent size you could watch in bed), tea & coffee making kit, bath and shower (bath had a built-in headrest, a really nice feature). We ate in the hotel from the Indian menu. Wow. Just wow. The best all-round Indian food I've ever had, and we eat Indian very regularly. Poppadoms were the best I've ever had, as was the keema naan. My children also said they felt that theirs was the best they had eaten, too. Our vegetarian daughter was full of praise, especially for her naan and rice, which she felt were the best she had eaten, too. The bar had every conceivable drink and snacks you could possibly imagine. Moreover, the bar was very, very reasonably priced. A round of a Desperado, a G&T and a large Coke came to less than ten pounds. In my local in Bolton, that would have been easily twelve to thirteen quid! Really brilliant, friendly staff, who couldn't do enough for us and Simon is an absolute gent. I cannot thank him enough for getting everything we needed. Top drawer, inexpensive and friendly. What more could you ask for?

Lovely breakfast full english and vegetarian option,very polite staff generous coffee and tea in the room,plenty of options at the hotel bar,good car park availability at rear of the hotel,good central location to the town.

Nothing about the hotel or room just the child at 7am carrying on as if there was no one else in the hotel,parents didnt make any effort to quiten the child,room could be cooler as the fan wasnt working

We stayed at the Harboro for 2 nights as we were attending a wedding near Melton Mowbray. We were delighted that we had found a room for all 4 of us as it meant we could all get ready for the wedding together. The room was so much bigger than we expected and had not one but 3 ensuite bathrooms! The bathrooms were really modern and had great lighting which was ideal for us getting ready. The room had one double and 2 single beds, 2 wardrobe areas, big windows and natural light. There was plenty of space in the room. We were able to order snacks and cocktails from the bar and bring them up to the room to have while we got ready. The staff were very accommodating. The area of Melton Mowbray is actually pretty lively which we weren't expecting, there are some lovely little pubs and restaurants and cafes around.

The beds were not very comfortable and the mattress kept slipping off as you moved around as the bed frame was just a flat surface.

Service could be improved by using another staff member, however the service was excellent. Coffee arrived promptly and a little patience was rewarded with the best full English I have had in years. And great value too.

The room was spacious (111), the bed was a little too firem for my personal liking. A smart TV would have been nice, and the screen in the bathroom (!) didn’t seem to work.
