We booked just the day before, which was lucky on a bank holiday. Our room in the lodge seems newly decorated, with a spacious bathroom. Great staff & service.

Checking what we had booked online was abit confusing, as it seemed like 'Hatfield hotel' and 'Hatfield lodge' were seperate hotels, not the same hotel, with seperate building names. Breakfast meals seem a little small for the (seperate) price.

I stay in this hotel a lot - love it with a passion, great staff great location on seafront, rooms always good a reasonably priced. I would and do stay here when in Lowestoft.

I stay at the Hatfield a lot during the year, but this time I was in the Lodge across the road, which is just as good. If I have to mention anything then No hot water in bathroom sink, but had hot water for shower. Bathroom a bit cramped. My uncle had issues with no light in bathroom, and my TV remote didn't turn on tv. Having said that we didn't mention at time as we only stayed one night but I'm sure if we had they would have sorted those issues on the spot as staff as always brilliant - it's a fabulous location on seafront - love it

Cleanliness and space in the property was exceptional. Staff were extremely polite and always happy to help. In-room facilities were fantastic.

Property was very warm throughout the night and struggled a little with ventilation due to only being able to open one window. Didn’t negatively impact the stay however.

Smart, modern decor. Friendly, helpful and efficient staff both at reception and in the bar/restaurant. Great central location with a short walk to the beach and easy access to the surrounding area by car. The breakfast was excellent - very generous servings and the eggs benedict was cooked to perfection.

There aren't a lot of dining options in the area. We were only staying for one night and went to Iconic, a short walk away which offers amazing value grill food. Based on the breakfast, the hotel restaurant is probably worth a shot too. If you were staying for a week and don't want to eat at the same place every evening, you might struggle. Description on this site implies it is an independent hotel with an arrangement with the Best Western across the road - this seems to have changed and the lodge is now part of the Best Western, just in a separate building. You have to check-in in the main building. Not a problem but an updated description on this site would have better prepared us for what to do when we arrived.

humidity in room it felt damp due to extractor fans not working and windows didn't open smokers standing outside snooker hall making too much noise

The lodge is a good accommodation separate from the main Hotel, there was pently of parking spaces and the food was very good.

I could not get the shower to turn on so some instructions would be good.

Friendly and helpful staff especially helping me with my baby's pushchair , quiet and very warm

The food we ate at the hotel was well prepared and perfectly cooked.hotel is in a perfect location ideal for seafront and short walk to town centre

Room needs ventilation, very stuffy

Location was fab Family room was quite roomy for myself and two children

One minor detail - water In the morning was like warm and the shower head didn’t stay in the shower rail thing on the wall so had to hold it to shower

Very enjoyable stay right on the beach very spacious comfortable room all amenities nearby great for families with young children

Bit of a weird smell in the corridor areas. We stayed at the lodge across from the main hotel
