The staff were very friendly and welcoming. The room was clean and tidy and, although a little on the small side, suited our requirements down to the ground. The pub itself was well kept and seemed to be popular. We could see why when we tried the food and ale from the bar. The rooms facilities were excellent and the shower was a generous size and powerful The location of the pub, while on a main road was excellent for the village, being only a 5-10 minute walk into the heart of what can only be described as a beautiful village with stunning views of the surrounding countryside

The pub was located on a busy main road, and the nights and early mornings we were woken by the number of HGVs that appeared to speed down the road.

Perfect location for our trip to Gaping Gill. Food amazing and staff were very attentive. The room was small but perfect for our needs with a fan which was super. Fridge on the landing for our food we'd brought. We were awake very early and guests can leave by an un-alarmed fire door which has a key to access from outside. All these little thoughts mean that we will definitely use again

The traffic from the road was noisy so you can't leave the window open unless you can sleep through anything. The fan does a great job of keeping the room cool

A warm welcome from the staff. The food was amazing. The little chocolate waiting for you on the towels when you walk into your room. I loved the in the landing area lots of information on what to do where to go and if you needed anymore extra for teas and coffee it was there for you.

It was nothing that could be helped but the traffic noise was on going no fault of the premises. I know the A65 has a lot of traffic which runs through all hours of the day and night.

It's in such a perfect, centrel place to access the activities we went for. The staff are so friendly, the room was clean and warm, food available was lovely and we were so impressed with the service.

I couldn't fault anything. We could come and go as we pleased with access to the building, plenty of tea and coffee in the room, clean en suite, with a fantastic hot shower. The stairs are quite steep and a little awkward, if I really had to find a fault.

The location was perfect for the Yorkshire dales and all the tourist locations such as Ingleton Falls and the Caves. The Masons was very welcoming and friendly. I would suggest you eat at the Masons, the Lamb Lasagna was Devine. Room was cosy, very clean and comfy.

If i was being really picky, then the pillows on the bed were a little too hard for my personal liking. That being said the bed was very comfy.

The location, staff and facilities were great. Bed was v comfy, shower was incredible. Nice to have tea/coffee-making facilities and decent storage space for hiking gear. Food at the pub was also excellent.

My one minor issue was that the room was v warm (it's summer, so to be expected) but as it's on a fairly busy road I was woken a few times by passing traffic. The window was pretty much sound-proof when shut which meant I could drift off but it just meant the room was very hot, which was a bit uncomfortable.

Very nice small room, very clean, comfy bed, good shower. Great pub food, rightly.popular

Not the fault.of the inn or staff but a hot day and night meant it was essential to keep the window open to the main A65 road. There is a surprising amount of heavy traffic , including quarry traffic esp during daylight hours. Normally the new double glazing would keep the rooms quieter.

We have eaten at the masons on many occasions and the food is always of a good standard ,our room had a lovely big shower and it was nice that shampoo ,conditioner and shower gel were provided in dispensers as I had brought conditioner with me instead of shampoo,

We felt for the price paid that the room was quite small there was very little space at one side of the bed and no space for a bedside table only a cube on the wall which was supported by 2screws but could be lifted off quite easily so not secure ,also the position of the tv was not right for where the bed was ,

Excellent food Excellent selection of beers Lovely room Very polite staff Good location for local village Nice beer garden where you can watch endless motorbikes and sports cars pass by

The main road is very busy, even at night, and so there is traffic noise in the room but this is a small price to pay for an excellent pub and restaurant

Stylish, comfy, clean. Warm welcome. Good supplies of tea and coffee and proper mugs. Though no breakfast is provided, there is a small fridge in the corridor and nespresso machine. Comfy bed and quality bed linen. Perfect for two nights. Ate in the pub restaurant. Lovely.

Thicker, larger bath towels would have matched the quality of the other linens. Pillows very high and hard.
