Leonardo Hotel Cheltenham - Formerly Jurys Inn

Great location situated a short distance from bars and restaurants in the town centre. The facilities were also clean and well presented with access to an indoor pool with sauna. I have to say, it was great value for money which I have come to expect from the Leonardo Hotel brand.

If I was to criticise anything with this hotel, it would be the fact that rooms do not have air conditioning. Granted that in the UK, it is not often that we experience high temperatures however, on the rare occasion that the sun makes an appearance, the absence of air conditioning is likely to be a problem and make things a little uncomfortable.

Room was really clean and comfortable. Breakfast was good. Location is very peaceful looking out over green fields, trees, and hills on the horizon. Steam room and aromatherapy room in spa are both nice. Staff were very friendly and welcoming.

Spa was ok but a little disappointing because the pool was full of children swimming widths, i.e. swimming across the path of adults hoping to swim lengths. Of course the adults supervising these children should have said something. Not sure if there are specific times when children are allowed but recommend this is it is not already in place. Also pool water was quite cold. And there is no whirlpool.

Stay was awesome Parking was free I am not sure why they mention otherwise on booking.com Pool was apt. Better to go to pool early morning or late evening. Breakfast is wonderful and worth the price. They gave us surprise with free one drink. Room was ready to welcome us with kids activity gift. Which was pleasant surprise for my daughter.

Dinner was not up to the mark. Actually there was some technical issue in kitchen. But they didn’t inform us before entering that was disappointing. Parking was free but need to go to reception to get it activated. Where as there is quick access to parking and skip the reception completely.

Well, what can I say about this hotel? Firstly the staff are so friendly and kind. The lovely lady who checked us in was an absolute angel. So helpful. The hotel was in the perfect location for us close to The Manor by the Lake, just a 10-minute walk, so no taxi needed. Car parking was great. Good value and secure. The complimentary room snacks and drink vouchers we were gifted were a lovely surprise! So kind! Our room also had a fancy coffee machine with pods. A fab way to send our hangovers on their way. The beds were very comfortable, clean and fresh, pillows were lovley, and the room was huge. There was plenty of room for a family for 4. We had a lovely stay. Thank you!

The room held the heat and was rather stuffy. The hotel had supplied us with 2 fans, which helped.

The facilities were amazing we were after a relaxing night away and loved that we didn't have to leave site checked in had food enjoyed the beer garden for a while and the use of the leisure facilities was a massive bonus

The random man in my bedroom as they had been given the wrong room number and a key cut to another couple. When we called reception we were given free drinks by the duty manager and she bought us fresh keys personally. Although scary as a security breach the staff handled it well and it wouldn't stop me booking again. It also would have been nice to be told there was a huge event on and a limited menu in the restraunt. But again we are looking at booking again as we speak.

The amount of space was perfect for a family for four, we had to fold up the sofa bed for some more space before we put the children to bed but this wasn't an issue.

The room is on the second floor but there isn't any air con installed and we had one desk fan to help cool both rooms. A fan per room would have been better or even a cooling system would make this room perfect. We stayed Saturday night and ordered room service. We weren't informed at check in there was a limited menu due to low stock which we were only told upon ordering over the phone which made us feel like we were inconveniencing the staff a bit.

Convenient location on fringe of city. Very good facilities overall. Restaurant, bar and literature facilities on site.

Night staff was quite rude (rest of staff were friendly and helpful). I asked him if he could help me keep my bike safe after collecting it from the car, so I could take the keys back to my wife who was upstairs feeding our baby. All he said is that he doesn't accept bikes in here. The bike was perfectly clean (no worse than a wheelchair) and just needed a place to rest for 5 minutes without being left outside for anyone to steal and he refused to help. In the end I had to leave the car keys with him was a compromise. I've never experienced this problem in any other hotel before where I routinely get offered to leave my Brompton in the luggage room.

The staff were fantastic, very polite and helpful, the room was very comfortable, especially the bed and bedding. The room was also nice and clean.

I was disappointed that the biscuits in my room were not replenished on the second day of my stay. The pool area looked tired and had no seating available at all although was clean and the pool comfortably heated. It could be helpful to have someone help with luggage as there are several steps prior to reaching the lifts and with a suitcase and 2 further bags it was a struggle to make it to the lift and then back again when checking out. Perhaps offer help at reception when checking in with several items of luggage.

Comfortable room fairly spacious, comfy bed. Breakfast was splendid, buffet style plenty of choice with fresh fruits, porridge, great GF options - as well as normal continental and cooked options. Relaxed style, plenty of space. loved the location - close to Gloucester for Cathedral, museums and docks, Cheltenham and short drive to Forest of Dean, etc

Liked it all. Car parking was charged as I gather all local hotels did. Nice thing was there were plenty of spaces and all close to hotel entrances.

Very friendly staff and lovely food in the restaurant. As I waited a little time for my food I was given a free drink which was unprompted but was a nice touch.

From the outside the building is very dated and I immediately felt disappointed at my location for the night. However inside the building was much more modern and clean. My room was very clean but I was not happy with a wobbly lock in my room door and splinted wood around the door frame. As it had been a long day I did not request a room change
