ibis Cambridge Central Station

Staff were extremely helpful, always professional and accommodated need to store medicine in their fridges. Rooms were clean and in good condition.

Beds are extremely narrow, perhaps 1m wide. The twin beds rooms were laid out with beds together making it essentially a very narrow double. They could be pushed apart but not very far. It would not be a comfortable option for anyone other than a couple - definitely a poor choice for work colleagues, except in a romance novel. Would have liked more than one chair as otherwise one of you has to sit/lie on the bed.

The room is nicely designed, with a cool modern atmosphere, a comfortable bed and a good TV. The location is 3 minutes walk from the train station, so super convenient. There is also a Sainsbury's just across the street, and many places to grab a quick bite 2 minutes away as well as two quite excellent restaurants, one vegetarian, one Indian, just 5 minutes away.

The room was a bit cold and the heater kept reverting back to a setting of 23 degrees, which felt colder than the number. The hot water in the shower wasn't that hot. And the hair dryer was pretty weak.

Rooms are generally okay for what you are paying but the room I stayed a while ago was way too congested and the recent one was of decent size. I guess it depends on your luck what type of room you are allocated. So ask for good size room in the check in counter, perhaps this would help. The location is great, just next to the Cambridge station and a lot of eateries around there.

Bathroom shower has curtain. though it does its job, it makes thing looks dirty. Better if they can have glass partitioning or something similar. The wifi could be better. not bad, but not fast enough at this digital age.

Breakfast was great with plenty of choice and we loved the view whilst enjoying our breakfast. We were able to book in early which was brilliant as it meant we could deposit our luggage and have more sightseeing time. We were also able to store our cases after check out and get them later on before our journey home. Joshua was very welcoming and most helpful.

We had pizzas on the evening in Chill 2 which were delicious however the automatic entrance doors were constantly opening because of people coming in and this made the area very cold. Also we noticed quite a few people using their lap tops sitting at tables at the far end, without food or drinks for quite sometime which limited the choice of seats for people who wanted to eat there.

Very clean and modern hotel situated in a great location by the station. We stayed in another IBIS hotel a few weeks ago, and this was definitely better. Our room was spacious, clean and comfortable. The staff were exceptionally helpful.

No car parking but not their fault. Quite a noisy and bustling location, but our room was nice and quiet. Call me old fashioned but I like a proper reception desk, not just a laptop on a lectern. The greeting was not the same as a more conventional hotel but the staff were very efficient.

Room was okay, clean is the main thing. Plenty of space. When I arrived the lady said my room was not ready without even taking a name while another guest checked in early with someone else.... Other than that the staff were amazing. Location is great but further out from town than you think. Breakfast is good but there is very little comfy seating to eat it at.

The staff was very kind and helpful. They were always at hand to make sure you were satisfied. The room was clean and the housekeeping was great. They gave me a great room with a nice view since I had to leave another accommodation that was unpleasant. The air on was very good and vital because of hot temperature. The breakfast was tasty and it was nice to have a restaurant at the hotel. The location is very good. The train station is just at hand along with coffee houses, restaurants and a supermarket.

Loud at night being so close to the train station and there is no fridge. It was a bit too expensive.

Good to see coconut milk on offer at breakfast, but astonished at the lack of ordinary 'breakfast' tea (only herbal, Earl Grey or Rooiboos available), also no 'breakfast' tea or soya milk in room (I addressed this to a member of staff, who apologised and promised to report to management). Excellent salad and vegan foccaccio in Chill 02. Staff very pleasant. Lady in Chilll 02 was very careful regarding allergens.

No ordinary 'breakfast' tea available in either breakfast selection or in room; no soya milk in room.

Breakfast was great! The free drink voucher at check-in was a nice surprise. As a wheelchair user, I appreciated the accessible room we were given.

The only thing I can think of was the slight delay at check-in where I was called back from the lift to fill in a Personal Evacuation Plan - could this have been sent to me beforehand? It was my first time travelling as a wheelchair user, which I specified when making the booking. I'm glad that I was asked to fill in this plan once I became aware of it Other than that, no criticisms at all.

The room was comfortable (although don't expect a good view, as even if you are on the top floor, you'll only get to see the rest of the building (mostly))!. The location was perfect, right next to the station. Breakfast was good, although they ran out of tea at one point!

I would only say that we should really have had a non-slip mat in the shower itself, but there were none available on request.
