It's a beautiful little thatched inn with plenty of parking space and we had a lovely room with a good tv, easy to use shower and a chocolate bar each for us when we turned up with plenty of drinks to go with them. The dining area/bar is very nicely decorated and the staff were very friendly and hard working, also with regards to the food it was excellent quality/quantity and in the morning as part of the full cooked breakfast I got two fried eggs, baked beans and fried bread, as well as the cereals and toast - ticks all the boxes as far as I'm concerned. I reckon it would also be a good base for visiting Cambridge, St Ives and the Swiss Garden at Biggleswade.

Unfortunately, just one little thing the lights on the mirror did'nt work in the bathroom.

We were travelling to Stansted airport and felt that this would be the perfect overnight stop close to Cambridge. We visited Cambridge but note that this is a 20 minute drive away. We discovered beautiful gardens, a peaceful village and great service! We had dinner in the evening and thank Amanda for her wonderful and friendly service. Breakfast was great and attentive service one again. Such friendly, helpful staff and delicious food.

The decor of the room felt a little tired and perhaps is in need of an update but that was a minor issue. Overall we had a very good experience!

The breakfast options were good, but we had cereal and toast, just right. The staff were super friendly and helpful. One of the main meal options promised 'confit of duck' was not available, but we had a nice alternative. The hotel is very quiet and comfortable situated in a rural landscape with lovely thatched buildings about. Parking was excellent and all within easy access to the motorway and Cambridge.

There wasn't anything we didn't like.

Very warm welcome, lovely food including breakfast. Lots of parking. Very peaceful location and ideal for me - 5 miles from my work which makes it just far enough away for the break but close enough for an easy commute. WiFi was good. I will definitely be returning.

The only real issue I had was that I had no mug to make coffee first thing, an oversight I am sure, but I only discovered this in the morning and I was getting ready for breakfast so not a serious issue, but could have been a bit irritating if I had been trying to work late. Other than that I only have observations.... rooms are a little dated in terms of décor, but still very comfy, and a dust of the telephone in the room would have been great. That's all I have.

The location was perfect for visiting local sights. We stopped off at IWM Duxford on the way and then visited Cambridge, Ely and some RSPB reserves from The Golden Ball. Everyone at the hotel was so welcoming and friendly and went out of their way to make our stay special. The food was brilliant and we decided to have evening meals there as so good. Really recommend and so glad we stayed there.

Great hosts, lovely relaxed environment and an absolute gem of a hotel that's so close to main links but so quiet! If we come up near again will 100% book again! Love the kit kat in the room, was a great treat 👌

Booking in after 4pm but we asked and they let us in early. Nothing was too much trouble! My partner said he found it annoying only one side had the light switches so had to keep asking me but other from that no faults and great value for money.

Breakfast was excellent. The room was great and very quiet. This is a great option for visiting Cambridge as it’s about a 20 minute drive away.

The pub was closed for dinner when we were there which was disappointing. However that was our fault as we should have checked. The pub is lovely as we had breakfast there, and the staff were all great.

The location was nice & peaceful & the hosts were excellent, would highly recommend it.

The journey getting there it took alot longer than we thought it would, having got lost by the sat nav. However when we were leaving after breakfast the host Stephen was very helpful & gave us directions which turned out to be alot quicker getting home, Sarah was amazing nothing was too much trouble for her, we will certainly go back for another visit.

Room was well appointed and comfortable. Location was great and very quiet. Breakfast each morning was excellent, with a good selection. While there were staffing shortages service was attentive and friendly.

Some issues with the stocking of the bar and ran out of gas.

A very friendly, welcoming reception and stay, the food was excellent. My wife lost an engagement ring, over the stay period, on contacting them later, they couldn’t have been more helpful, on finding it they contacted us and keep it safe, until we collected it later that afternoon.
