The staff were so friendly and nothing was too much trouble. It was very pet friendly, which meant our Westie was able to enjoy a lovely stay with us, and we very much enjoyed meeting the 3 lovely dogs who belonged to the staff. The setting is so nice, a proper traditional country inn but the rooms had all the modern facilities you need for a comfortable stay. The atmosphere was very relaxed. The food was excellent, not only in terms of quality, but also quantity. Both our evening meals and breakfasts.were perfect. We would love to stay here again and highly recommend, particularly if you need pet friendly accommodation 😊

There is nothing that we didn't like about our stay it was excellent. It was perfect for a pet friendly stay.

A local little pub in a secluded village. Despite being a pub with rooms, the rooms were extremely quiet as they were in a separate part of the building. Staff were all very friendly and polite.

If you are travelling on business and need to be away fairly early, the later breakfast time means that it is a buffet style breakfast which was adequate however no hot drinks were available in the breakfast area. It might be a good idea to have a flask of hot water or something similar available.

The room was light bright and clean . We appreciated the warning from the staff that it might get a little noisy due to a skittles match - as it happened it didn’t disturb us at all. We had an evening meal in their establishment which was delicious and well worth the money .

Direction to the establishment could have been better indicated from the main road - as it was we missed the turn off and thanks to google ended up on some rather risky roads .

Brilliant service from the moment we arrived to depart. Service and food 5 🌟! Clean and nicely decorated large, modern room with own bathroom. The dinner was absolutely delicious and well presented. We enjoyed our food in the nicely decorated garden area in a very pleasant atmosphere. Staff looked after us very well. The breakfast was served a bit later than we expected but well worth the wait. We left with a big smile and a full belly! 😘

We loved our room (No. 1) with ample space and facilities. Excellent breakfasts with good menu choices. We had three evening meals which again were excellent and were not too expensive. Good choice of drinks at the bar. Very helpful and freindly staff. Lovely village location with lots of footpaths for walking.

Breakfast really filling choice fruits juices of cereal tea coffee bacon eggs full English 👍The location is just amazing a hidden gem ❤️We chose during our stay to have our evening meal too food freshly cooked recommend the beer batter fish chips ! Thanku chef

Maybe another set of firmer pillows but that could have been personal choice too !

Welcome was vert nice, all staff friendly and helpful, breakfast food was good and included in booking, evening food good but a little pricey, very dog friendly.

Hadn’t realised it was as remote as it was, the roads made very tense driving, and no daily housekeeping ie straightening bed,emptying waste bins etc.

A lovely 13th century pub in the middle of nowhere. Friendly staff. Excellent, locally sourced, freshly cooked meals.

Cooked breakfast only available between 9:30-10:30am although the owner did offer to me make scrambled eggs at 8:30am quiet happily which I wasn't expecting.

Quiet comfy surroundings in the Pub, comfortable bed with ensuite, friendly attentive staff throughout our stay, price was affordable for last minute decision to take a break, evening meal was superb with just the right amount of choice on the menu for all tastes.

Location, atmosphere, food, staff all excellent will definitely visit again

Very minor problem basin was a bit grubby & occasional drain smell in the bathroom but didn’t make any difference to our overall opinion of our stay which was excellent
