The Ambiance Hotel

Located in the heart of "Boyztown" this hotel is older but very well maintained. The staff are all friendly and professional, willing to do what it takes to make their guests comfortable, offering help from directions to booking a ride to the airport. The bed is wide and comfortable. Everything works as it should.

If you are a light sleeper, you will need earplugs because the "party" goes on nightly until around 2am. Which is great if you are out partying with them, not so great if you are trying to get an early night's sleep.

The hotel is located in a Gay area. And there were gay oriented wall paintings and sex toys in the room. In the night, the male shows were happening very next to the hotel so it was pretty uncomfortable to walk in those times there.

excellent value for money. central location. friendly staff. not too much noise taking into account it’s in a bar area no restaurent but many close by. easy access to transportation.

tv failed - staff could not sort it out

While this hotel is located on a very busy and popular soi, the value for the money, the friendly helpful staff and the amenities make it definitely worth a repeat visit. Bath robes, slippers, extra soft and fluffy towels, free water daily, library for borrowing books in different languages, umbrellas to lend when it's raining....all these were available. The one sort of downside is that the restaurant is still closed.

The busy clubs stay active until around 1 or 2am. So, if you are an "early to bed" type, this might be a problem for you. Although the room was relatively soundproof, there was still some vibrations from the heavily amplified sound systems next door.

It was one of my best holidays and has been to Thailand many times. The hotel price performance great. Very central. Cabaret show bsrs pharmacy currency exchange restaurant beach walking street all within 100 to 200 meters. The staff at the hotel very very friendly and helpful. Have built a good friendship. Nothing to complain about. I liked everything. Logically, there are people who also have iim best and expensive hotel what to complain about. But here price performance top and great staff if you also treated it friendly and respect me you get a lot back from them

Great location. 2-3 blocks from Beach Rd and another 4-5 blocks to Walkimg St. Close to restaurants, money exchange, on the Baht Bus route, convenience stores, etc. Housekeeping staff were nice. Even if I did not need my room made up every night, they at least always left me 2 bottles of water at my door. Room and hallways are clean, bright, and clearly well maintained. Wifi was ok. Great terrace on the 5th floor, overlooked the side streets.

I was not aware, because I was more concerned about the hotel's overall rating, that this hotel is in the middle of Boyz Town. That did not bother me at all but what was a little annoying was the aforementioned side streets are turned into a mini-walkimg street until about 2am. The noise level is pretty high but worse, the bass from the party downstairs shook and rattled the building. My simple solution was to avoid going back to my room too early.

The room was HUGE. I had one of the Penthouse rooms, I highly recommend you DO BOOK this room. I have a lounge room with nice seating and couches and TWO LARGE LED Tvs - one in the bedroom and another in the lounge! How great is THAT! I have stayed at 5-star places and they have a TINY TV - come on! The Ambience is a perfect location to Boyztown bars and the beach and shops and walking street. I enjoyed my stay here.

The windows were DOUBLE GLAZED which was fantastic to block out the music noise from the pubs and clubs - and this worked well - however, I could still hear it. However, it was NOT an issue. Many MORE hotels should use double glazing, especially in Thailand's heat. The staff at the front desk could please TRY to be more welcoming and friendly? The cleaning staff were lovely and I gave them a tip.

I travelled others countries before but It was my first city where I felt happiness, safety and secured. People are so friendly, helpful and polite. I never saw any rude behavior even the loud voice. Every body's tone was below the normal scale. Airport staff were excellent and active, no unnecessary delay. The Ambience Hotel staff were very friendly and active 24 hours.

Improvement and development has no ending anywhere in the world. About here where I stayed I can't afford or use the The word that something I don't like. However about Ambience Hotel the below comments might be helpfull. As I heard from the staff that The Restaurant of the hotel has been closed due to Covid19.. At present the situation has been devoloped. Front of the Ambience of other Hotel's Restaurent are open. So you may re-start the Restaurant to fill up the silence, customers mental satisfaction and other function. For further advice and rectification you may contact later. Thanks

The staff was very friendly and extremely accommodating. The room had everything a guest could possibly need (from slippers to bathrobes, ceiling fan, air conditioning unit, kettle, hair dryer, etc.) to make a stay enjoyable and comfortable. The room had sufficient storage for long stays (chest of draws, wardrobe, cupboards) without looking overbearing. The room is therefore functional and yet has been designed in a tasteful manner. The hotel is located in the heart of the city and the beach can be reached within a few minutes' walk. Reasonably priced "Healthy" massages can be found in abundance nearby.

Some noisy neighbours (if you happen to have some next to your room). And if you sleep early, you may struggle with some outside noise (but remember you are in the heart of a very busy city).

It was very nearby to the walking street at affordable price. The building architecture is of twist and turns, but it thrills. The room was wonderful, more than expected. Everything there was antique models.

This is not an bad review, just an information. The location of the hotel is at the Boy's town, in night there will be cafes around with strip dance of boys. I stayed with my wife, there was no problem. The location was Gay friendly and also the paintings in the room and the toys says that.
