The Fong Krabi resort

The bedroom was kept clean and was comfortable, and spacious, and the flat screen TV worked great with our firestick. The pool was lovely and kept clean. We had a kettle and a fridge in our room, and were given 2 bottles of water everyday. We stayed for a week, if it was in a better location we would have stayed longer.

The bathroom smelt of stale urine even when cleaned daily! It was a nice bathroom, but this massively let it down. The grout is also very dirty and the tiles round toilet tinged yellow. We knew it was a way out from the town and the beach, but it is on a dual carriage way, we had been used to riding mopeds on Thailand's smaller roads. It took a while to get anywhere, not even any restaurants or shops within walking distance. There are a lot of mosquitoes, even during the day. I had to buy a plug in for the room.

the pool is wonderful and had a shallow section perfect for our toddler. It was clean and surrounded by well kept plants. The staff were friendly and helped us order a takeaway one evening, and a transfer to Koh Lanta. It was also very quiet and felt safe.

Breakfast consists of eggs three ways made to order. I ordered the omelette on the first day and it came with chopped ham inside and two chicken sausages plus more ham. I am vegetarian so was a bit annoying! I had fried eggs the second day which despite my best attempts at vegetarian in Thai came with the chicken sausages and ham. Not a big deal but could be improved.

We used the hotel as a stop over for our flight the next day. It's not too far from Krabi, you can get a taxi or walk. We enjoyed the walk into Krabi and took in the sights along the way. Reception were great, very friendly and welcoming. They booked a taxi for us the next day and gave us one of the better rooms as the resort was quiet. We got a decent nights sleep and our taxi was on time in the morning. Location for airport is really good. We picked this place because it was in between Krabi and the Airport. Rooms were very clean throughout and you could see the staff took pride in that. The rooms are relatively barebones, but it's functional and gets the job done. WiFi was surprisingly good in our room.

Bathroom could have been a bit better in terms of decoration and size, but honestly for the price you can't go wrong. A lamp in the room would have been nice for evening time. Location is as expected, there's not much around and we had to get a taxi to go and get some water, but it wasn't really much of an issue. Although a small local shop within walking distance would be ideal.

it’s a new hotel so everything is nice and clean. beautiful view, nice breakfast, nice pool and gym.

love the punching bag in the room. unfortunately also did my neighbor 2 times in a row at 08:00 in the morning and late af night. Maybe a note. don’t use the bag before 10:00 and after 22:00?

the property is very clean and comfortable, in a great location with a lovely pool! all the staff are very kind and will help you with anything. The owner Tony is the best, very friendly and helpful

Lovely room and swimming pool well maintained. Staff were friendly and helpful when i needed transport they called taxi for me.

Bit far away from centre of town if that’s where you would like to go

The staff were friendly and helpful. As there were only 4 rooms occupied there was no buffet breakfast, instead the staff served an individual breakfast which was ample and nicer for being freshly prepared.
