Rakkawan Residence - SHA EXTRA PLUS

Rakkawan Residence is the perfect place to stay in Khao Lak! It is clean, quiet and comfortable, and the staff is helpful and friendly. I'm so glad I stayed here compared to any beach resort! Excellent location to access many beaches, restaurants and shops in walking distance or by motorbike (which you can rent directly from them). I actually extended my stay because it was so enjoyable. Also nearby many dive centers, which was helpful as I was doing my open water course. The drop off service was smooth and comfortable, and worth the price. I would stay here again whenever I come back to Khao Lak!

Nothing I didn't like. One thing to keep in mind is there is jo elevator, so request a room on the first floor if you need it.

The location is very close to all the shops, restaurants, bars and beaches in Khao Lak. It is a 30 minutes walk from Lam Ru National Park which is a lovely place to spend a day. The room was cleaned every day which was a nice touch and breakfast was good (even though not very diverse). The lady from the reception desk spoke really good English, was very nice and helped us with booking a taxi to Phuket airport. For the money paid, the place totally exceeded our expectations. We would definitely stay at Rakkawan Residence again if we return to Khao Lak.

The property is a very short walk away from the dive shop I’ve signed up with, very accessible on foot even with a backpack. Took me only 3 minutes to walk. Plenty of restaurants in the area as well, both local and international food. The property was clean and comfortable. There was always a staff on duty, even at night.

There’s no lift in the property, and the finishing of the toilet and furniture was very basic looking.

I really enjoyed staying at this hotel, it offers excellent value for money, nice clean rooms, it’s very close to all the shops & restaurants & a short walk to the beach.

Everything is better than I expected! Staff was really nice, they would love to help you with everything. I was stay there alone and feel super safe :) Macdonald and 7-11 just opposite the hotel. Strong Wifi. Worth the money

They should have shower room before check-out but it's ok :)

The Hotel was really nice and clean. The staff was really friendly. We would definitely stay there again.

For me, it's no problem, but I just want to mention it: the hotel had 4 floors and no elevator. People who can't walk stairs, should book a room on the first floor.

Rooms were clean and staff were nice. The place is quiet and conveniently located. 7-elevens, restaurants and shops nearby. the beach is about 15mins walk away. Great value.

The shower wasn’t hot half of the time, but Thailand’s hot weather makes it tolerable.

I stayed in the room on top floor, last one. It was very nice and quiet. The room was clean and location convenient. Came back after my diving trip.

The breakfast wasn’t my taste, but there’s other options available nearby. It’s not luxury, but definitely good value.

Nothing to complain about here. I would not recommend you to buy some fruits at the entrance of this hotel, because the seller cheated on pricing of their fruits.
