Khaolak Bayfront Resort

really nice beach, location, rooms, facilities and staff. Closest Minimart/7-eleven was 1km away. The food in the restaurant was. Oils but not much to choose from, good though that there were other restaurants only meters away. The breakfast was good but the chef who made Omelettes was extremely cranky every single day. Other than him all other staff were super friendly helpful and sweet. Would definitely come back!

Staff was amazing; super friendly and helpful. Room was spacious and clean. Excellent breakfast options. Having 2 pools to choose from was nice as well a beach front. Ride to town centre (shopping, ATM, restaurants, etc.) was a short tuk tuk ride away or very walkable distance. Good spa services.

Sometimes difficult to get lounge chairs by the pool or beach front as guests would set out their “orange beach towels” very early in the am to “reserve” them, and would leave them vacant for a good part of the day, however the resort staff did their best to minimize this from happening.

the sea in front was super nice: it got just deep enough to swim quite soon my room was very spacious with a super comfy bed and a nice balcony i liked the breakfast options a lot friendly staff although i had the impression that they are not used to solo travelers (mostly families and couples)

it takes around 30 mins to most of the restaurants and bars. which is quite long in the heat - especially next to the road. if you are ok with always taking a taxi, that takes about 5mins :)

Certainly an underrated property they should be a four or five star establishment could not fault anything and the location is perfect for a relaxing getaway

Nothing not to like

This is a lovely resort on one of the nicest, least rocky parts of the beach. The rooms are a bit dated but very nice, the breakfast buffet is very decent & the staff excellent. The place itself is exceptionally beautiful with lovely palm trees and two great pools. It has a great spa with fantastic staff who give superb massages.

The rooms are somewhat dated, the TV’s are useless and the showers not great though the water is nice and hot. The pillows are rubbish and the beds are pretty firm, which I don’t mind. The internet is almost pointless, I could not even use it in the room, and they really, really need to improve that. The management at no point show there face and talk to the guests or look around to see how things are going. The only time I met them was when they told me I would have to pay 250B (a discount of 50B) an hour for late check out. If they improved these things it would be a straight 10 out of 10 but I would still recommend this place.

very relaxt, quite place Great breakfast , including 4 Thai specialities 2 pools, straight at the beach bed to sea some 30 meters large room, great aircon very good kitchen several Thai food places amd restaurants just nearby massage SpA onsite, good quality extremely good value for money, neighboring resorts much more expensive but no real advantage for the money

wifi sucks, too slow and failures. no workation possible beds kinda hard, we mitigated though cocktails not so good some 7km to the center, a bit off (which can be a true advantage), we took a scooter to drive around

Really beautiful location at the beach and possible to sun bath just by the beach compared to many other hotels which were shadowed by a lot of trees. Small and genuine hotel with not too many people and very calm. Nice pool areas and great massage

The rooms are quite simple and we had geckos in the room waking us up at night with their noice so make sure to bring ear plugs. No gym. A bit of a distance to the village, around 15 min walk but good walking possibility and cheap to take tuk tuk

The hotel staff were always very friendly and accommodating. The breakfast was absolutely delicious and every staff member was always friendly and helpful. The cocktails mixed at the pool bar were exceptional. If two pools and a Spa are not enough relaxation and regeneration for you, you can find the beach and the ocean directly in front of the hotel. The dreamy sunsets were just the cherry on top of the ice cream.

Really liked the rooms and the way the hotel was laid out. We had a connected room with the children which was excellent for us. We loved the fact they had two pools and straight access to the beach. You could walk all along. Staff was very helpful. Breakfast was very good too with just enough choice of everything and staff in the morning were very caring. Will stay again!

Nothing all good. A 5 mins walk from the little restaurants and shops.

It was excellent on every way… massive buffet breakfast included… two pools on the beach… deck chairs right over looking the beach…good pool bar… good poolside food…

There was no where to eat dinner on the edge of the beach to watch the sunset…we went next door to another resort that had excellent food right on the beach… superb food….
