Hotel Kuva Chateau

(1) Location - the hotel was very accessible as it was located along an artery road in taoyuan. The famous Zhongli Night market was about 10 minutes walk away. There was a SOGO shopping mall within 15 minutes walking radius too. It was surrounded by shops like cafe, family mart, local food shops. There was ample basement parking lots too although taiwan car parks were pretty tight in general. (2) The rooms were spacious and well furnished. We had a quardruple economy room & a deluxe executive twin room. Both rooms had comfortable beds, functioning air conditioners/heating, big toilets with good pressure water heaters. The rooms were well lit, spacious and clean. We did not hear any traffic noise at all although the hotel was located along a busy road. (3) Staff - the front desk could speak good English and would voluntarily guide us on surrounding area attractions with hotel map. All staff there always served us with a smile and were very polite, including the room cleaning staff. Very good service. (4) The posh ambience of the hotel made us feel good although the designs were the oldies kind. Together with the good staff service, we felt valued.

(1) We requested to have our 2 rooms to be at least on the same level, the closer the better. But we were given both rooms at the same level but in different towers??? The explanation provided was our room types could not be found in the same tower at our check in dates. If the hotel informed us earlier, we would have changed the room types to be close together.

Hotel meet expectations for a business travel. Very good whisky room in the hotel, but bar was still closed due to covid restrictions. Breakfast is reasonably served but cannot be charged to hotel room - needed to pay everyday.

I arrived on an early flight and asked for an early check-in, which the hotel doesn't offer. They offer an hourly paid usage of room, which gets much more expensive than the night rate. I offered to pay one extra night at the average rate of my stay and staff was rude. There is a coffee shop inside hotel, which only opens at 8:30AM - useless for business travelers.

The room was very spacious, bed was comfortable and water pressure was strong. There are many cafe around the area for having traditional or western breakfast all withing walking distance between 2 to 12 mins. Turn Left walk 2 minutes have an cafe name Mr Leo their food was nice, tasty and reasonable price. Turn Right from hotel walk 3 mins (you need to cross the opposite road) got an traditional cafe selling their local food which is cheap and nice but not much place you can sit. There are a wholesale shop within walking distance (near police station). There is also an family mart near to hotel. Love the night market (walking distance too) selling all my favourite local food.

I can only check in at 3pm.... if earlier check in can be done that will be great as i arrive 6am early morning. But hotel actually store our luggage so that we can go other place and come back to check in after 3pm.

We were upgraded to the junior suite. Lots of lovely space! Enjoyed the cleanliness and large bed. Enjoyed a shower stall separate to the bath in a very spacious bathroom. A very short walk to an excellent night market. Very close to convenience stores. Staff were pleasant. The room was on special on booking.com and I felt this was the right price for the hotel. I found the hotel charming (and a little dated, which I did not mind).

For five stars, would have expected room service and luggage delivered to room. Very pricey breakfast. For the discounted price on booking.com, the price met what was offered at the hotel. I would not have paid the full price for the hotel. If I was travelling through Taipei again, I would be happy to stay at this hotel and eat breakfast elsewhere at a better price.

I had been here before and returned to fly out from Tao Yuen Airport. The room was good, clean, and spacious, and the staff were friendly. However, this time, the view from the room was unpleasant. It was a brown wall just a few meters from the window, which looked horrible. I don't understand how such a nice hotel would have such an ugly view outside the window. If the next time I stay here, I get this kind of room again, I will definitely ask to change it.

Five star hotel? Maybe 4 and a half - not really the luxury you'd expect for 5. Decent, if slightly dated feeling, hotel. Rooms are a good size. Not far from Huanbei MRT, so a good overnight place to access the airport from. Close to Zhongli night market. Nice staff.

Power points are not international. No proper electric jug. Had to ask for an ice bucket. Bed pretty firm, as were the pillows. Weirdly uncomfortable couch.

It's not a new building by any means, but it's very well appointed and offers a good experience for a cheap price. The response from all the staff was also good. It takes less than 30 minutes by taxi from Taoyuan Airport, so it was the best for transit. It's a really good day, with Starbucks coffee for sale and a bakery.

Location was conveniently accessible from the airport. There are many food choices within reasonable walking distance. Room is spotless clean. Hotel staffs are very friendly and professional. Recommend.

Room lighting appears to be a bit too dark for my taste. Room air conditioning was a bit too strong/cold for my liking.

Great location! Conveniently located close to the train station and also a wonderful night market with lots of yummy food. The beds and linens are comfortable. WIFI is fast enough to get some work done online. The price is reasonable. The fitness facilities are actually quite nice.

The hotel overall is somewhat dated, which can be seen in the worn furniture and upholstery.

The look, decor, ambiance. Wonderful extra wide single beds. Luxurious feeling, the zip line clothes hanging in the bathroom, the bath - so nice! The hotel staff were amazing, I was leaving Taiwan and had a lot of luggage, they took care of everything and brought up to my room for me and booked me a taxi for the airport. I know that's pretty normal for this calibre of hotel. However, I twisted my ankle on the night before check out and once they knew, they let me stay in the room until the taxi came and brought ice. It really made a lot of difference. So grateful.

Just a small thing, but crucial to today's travler. There was a real lack of plug sockets near the bed, it made charging a phone or using while charging a device difficult. Not insurmountable, but an annoyance. Perhaps extension leads could be provided or usb ports? It would be something to think about in the future.
