Hotel Perren Superior

The team at Hotel Perren and the property far exceed our expectations. The room was the most comfortable and nicest hotel room in our entire 19day trip around Switzerland and Germany. Awesome bathroom, common games area, breakfast, sauna. Wifi was great like all other facilities and the staff were responsible, clear, and happy to serve and show us around on arrival. Unfortunately I left valuables behind when I checked out and left but the hotel staff and management took the extra mile to contact me to get the items returned to me. 101% trustworthy and honest. A true 10/10 rating for this hotel and I would have rated it 11 if it was possible.

There was absolutely nothing to dislike. Everything was perfect. From the room, staff, facilities, service, and breakfast. We stayed for 2 nights and we really regretted not staying there longer!

The view of the room gave it to us was magical. The service and the attention to the detail were spot on. Honestly, I can say the hotel exceeded my expectations. We had to leave early as we had early train connections to the next destination, so we told the staff that we will miss the breakfast included which was resolved by them leaving us breakfast in the fridge so we could pick it up in the morning before leaving. There was no obligation to that. However, they cared and treated us exceptionally. We really enjoyed the stay there and for sure will stay there next time in Zermatt.

The receptionist was friendly and helpful. The room was very clean and comfortable and had a balcony. It had a bath tub which is good for relaxing after a long cold day at the alps. The location was a 6 minute walk from the train station which was very convenient. There were sauna facilities available at the hotel. There were a good variety of food options at the breakfast buffet.

The balcony view was average. It would be great if the hotel can provide toothbrush, toothpaste and slippers in the rooms.

I loved the location, that it was only about 6 mins walk from Zermatt Bahnhof, that it was by the river and you could hear the sounds of the flowing water. Good Feng Shui according to the Chinese. You could see the Gornegrat Bahn passing by, and hear the church bells ringing from the room balcony I had the privileged to enjoy for the 2 nights I was there. And the staff at the reservation, such a sweet lady and so accommodating to my questions. Thank you Alpine Hotel Perren for giving me such a great start to my 8 nights traveling solo in the Jungfrau region.

- Friendly and helpful staff. - The ambience is beautiful, I wish stayed longer than one night. - I got a nice room with a balcony with a decent view. Small bed, but it was attached to a deck like thing, so I didn't fear falling off. Safety locker, bath tub - the bathroom overall was beautiful. Could be nice to have a fan, but I didn't need one as I kept the window open. Luckily the roads go quiet towards sun down, as the majority of the tourists just stay there for the day and depart in the evening. - Breakfast was really good. I mean REALLY good. They had one of the tastiest bacon I've ever eaten.

- Quite pricey; they could have provided a bottle of water. I paid 6 CHFs for two 500ml pet bottles from their honesty bar. I suggest you go to Coop (their supermarket and stash all that you need).

The location is pretty close to Zermatt, Gornergrat, and Sunnegga stations. It is also close to Kirchebrücke and the Matterhorn Glacier Paradise station is not that far away. The town view from balcony with the river sound is chill. The sauna is also a great facility that makes you relaxed. Staffs are all very kind and helpful. There is not that much variety of breakfast, but has variety of bread and they all arel really delicious.

The breakfast was quite nice. Typical European breakfast but with a lot of choices. The view from my room was spectacular. I can directly see the Matterhorn from the balcony. It is exactly the same as the photo from booking.com. The location was great as well. It was a mere 5-min walk from the train station, with a bakery on the way. The hotel staff was very helpful in helping me make calls as well.

One thing to criticize would be the bathtub, water can spill out easily and wet the bathroom floor. But it was just a tiny problem compared to the overall service and the room.

I was very happy with the entire experience. The hotel is within reasonable walking distance of the train station. The atmosphere is friendly and welcoming. The hotel is very clean and the room was comfortable. Given that I booked the room on the spur of the moment, I could hardly ask for better.

I can't think of anything I didn't like. Having to put the room key into a device to turn the lights on was odd, but if that was the weirdest thing I had to do, then I was in great shape!

Perfect location for acces to ski lifts and city center. Ski bus stop about 50m and Sunega lift available on foot. A large selection of bread, nuts and fruit for breakfast

No vegetables for breakfast, sometimes there were single slices of cucumber, no tomato and other vegetables. Warm sausages only once during 7 days stay.

The location is perfect that it is just beside to the river, we can hear the sound of the river flowing. Besides, the room has the Matterhorn view is fascinating, we can just stay in our room and enjoy the view, we do not need to go down or to certain spot to view it in the early morning. The room is comfortable and big enough for 3 of us.
