Villa Toscane

Really clean and comfortable room. I was in a small single room but still enough space to move around. Being linked to the Royal Plaza worked really well and it was nice having access to all the facilities whilst paying more affordable prices for the bedroom. Staff were friendly and helpful. Great location for getting access to lake-side with only a short walk to Montreux centre.

I was in room 441. There was access to the roof terrace from the room but if people were using the terrace I felt uncomfortable as they were right outside my window. In addition, I could not leave the window or patio doors open during the night (for security and I was a woman on her own) so the room was lacking ventilation at night. Finally, I think the fridge wasn't working properly as it didn't cool down the things I put in it very effectively and it was emitting heat into the room which during a very hot period of weather made it difficult to cool down.

Location of the hotel was wonderful - right on the doorstep of Lake Léman! The staff were exceptionally welcoming and happily looked after our luggage as we arrived early. They also suggested some excellent local restaurants. The room was clean and comfortable, and whilst we unfortunately couldn’t use the Spa, we had access to the facilities at the Hotel du Grand Lac Excelsior which were great. The Riviera card was also extremely helpful and allowed us to access (and appreciate!) the beauty that Switzerland has to offer.

the spa manager was very strict and didn’t allow my 16yr old and 10yr old daughters to access the swimming pool stating an adult has to accompany but she has been vaccinated and in legal age though.

Comfortable bed. Very nice soap and shower gel supplied. Air conditioning in room. Use of spa and pool in the royal palace hotel but this is on the other side of the road. Reception gave us travel tickets to use on bus and train. Very helpful. Only a five minute drive to Montreux.

Reception was in royal palace hotel, did cause a bit of confusion, especially when my phone didn't work in Switzerland to get information from the hotel.

We were upgraded to the nearby Royal Plaza hotel on arrival. They have a good Type2 EV charging station there including cables (located in the subterranean parking). The hotel is located right at the lively Montreux seaside riviera pedestrian area.

The EV charging station provider in the subterranean parking was charging a relatively steep CHF 0.86 per kW on top of the hotel's daily parking fees. Tesla destination charging would be nice.

We would like to thank very much to all the hotel staff, especially Denise, for their impeccable service. We traveled with a small baby and were granted check-in one hour earlier to accommodate her nap schedule. The room was very spacious, charming and warm. The location is perfect: just in front of the lake, 5 mins walk from the Christmas market. We cannot wait to come back next year.

The room was spacious and clean. Close to main train station and town center and good bus connections. At the time of checkin, we were given Montreux Riviera card to be use for free bus transpory within the city. A small refrigerator in the room came in handy.

Breakfast was basic. Bathroom was too small.

Location is walking distance from Montreux station. Or a small walk to 201 bus top. The 201 is amazing very frequent and on time all the time!! The hotel was nice and had everything for us. The bathrooms were quiet tight and had only showers but this was not an issue for us. Also as others have mentioned breakfast across the road to the 5 star sister hotel was perfect and with an amazing view. A great base when venturing vevey and Montreux

Charming old villa, rooms had enormous ceilings with large windows, really impressive old style building located in quiet part of montreaux. The family was very impressed.Nice to use the 5 star hotel services across the street if desired. Excellent value. Would definitely stay there again if in the area. Great beds and large room size, clean. Check in across the street, so no one on staff in villa if that bothers some guests?

We booked 2 rooms. The first rooms air conditioning was good, the second rooms ac was poor.

The location was nice very close to the lake. It allows guests to use the facilities provided by the 5 Star hotel opposite the Villa. The sauna, Jacuzzi were really good. I loved the room, it felt like a palace with antique rooms with ceilings almost ~25 ft above the ground. Loved the experience.

The breakfast was really disappointing, very basic. Not a big issue but check in/checkout was a little complex as they don't have a check-in facility in Vila Toscane. You need to go to a hotel opposite vila Toscane for check-in/checkout.
