Bon Port

You cannot separate price from the evaluation of quality when considering any property. Montreux is a classy resort and most hotels are corresponding expensive. The Bon Port was very good value as a centrally located, 'clean and safe' option.

The furniture in my room was basic and a bit down at heel (though the bed was still perfectly comfortable). The property is unattended at night which might pose challenges if other guests were very rowdy or in the even of a fire.

The location is super, it’s less than a minute walk to the beautiful lake Geneva promenade so you can take a scenic route to all the restaurants etc. It’s about 10 minute walk from the train station. The continental breakfast was really yummy. The room was good, clean, spacious and the bed was comfy, there were water bottles and armchairs in the room which we appreciated. Definitely good value for money.

There was a little black mould on the ceiling in the bathroom and a small bit around the top of the shower but overall the place was really clean.

Great location, and good value considering the prices in the area. My room was quiet, well-ventilated, and had a decent view. The staff was helpful when needed.

The lobby vending machine is abysmally stocked and is inaccurate in saying it takes Euros as well as Swiss Francs. The beds and pillows are really quite unusual and not comfortable. I asked for more pillows after I had messed up my back during my first night's sleep there, but was told none were available. Also, no mini-fridge but I should have noticed that detail before booking.

The hotel is ideally located for a swim in the lake or a walk to the center of Montreux or Chateau de Chillon. The facilities are a bit run down but value for money is good.

I had reserved a parking spot in the garage and when I called the day before to confirm, they told me that they didn't have my name on the list and that the parking was fully booked. The guy couldn't have cared less, he was very unprofessional and rude on the phone. I then found the email exchange where they had confirmed parking and they arranged a spot. This was an unnecessary inconvenience, the girl who checked us in was very friendly and helpful.

I love and prefer this small hotel. I've lived here more times and I'm going to book a room here next time again. It is clean, it has a very good location. 3 minutes walking from the lake shore, 3 minutes walking from the bús stop, 2 minutes from the Queen Studio Experience, 7-10 minutes from Marché and Freddie Mercury statue, 15 minutes walking from the railway station. One may pay for breakfast which is complex, fresh. The rooms are clean and comfortable. I can recommend it to everyone who doesn't want to live in a luxury hotel.

The room is decent and good enough for solo traveller.. bed is comfortable.. the location wasnt exactly near and GSP show up and downhill journey.. but i managed to find another easy route to the station..

Breakfast wasnt that good.. i abit regret taking as it is not cheap.. Just for the first day so is fine..

Comfortable bed, pillow and covers. Room and facilities were very clean. Good location. Not the best breakfast ever, but then again it's half the price of other hotel breakfasts in Montreux. Overall really good value for money.

There was nothing we didn't like. The facilities showed some wear and tear but absolutely no big deal. There was no shower curtain, so the whole bathroom got wet while showering.

The staff was friendly and approachable.The room size is nice.The hotel is located near the lake and casino.

The distance of the hotel is about 30 mins.walk from the train station.

It's a lovely budget hotel that offers good value for money. The location is superb, minutes from the lake and the beautiful promenade. The beds are comfortable. It's clean and relatively quiet. We really loved it. Of course, don't expect anything fancy. It's really basic and good for 1 or 2 nights at the most.

The lift can be heard inside the room, so if that's an issue for you just ask for a room far from it.

So close to lake and Christmas Markets. Shopping centre, cafes, restaurants and transport all within walking distance. The tourist card included was a fantastic money saving resource allowing almost all transport to be free!
