Breakfast was lovely & the views wonderful Room was spacious and balcony view was spectacular Staff did go that little bit more with the personal touches - Very Nice Parking effortless via the valet parking - Excellent Roll down service with a little chocolate square - Always a winner Welcome pack of fruit and water - Very Nice Water replaced every night - Wonderful

The bathroom layout with the shower being a very small square box, very tight for one person, and no chance of 2 persons No kettle in the room only a coffee maker which did give hot water for making tea but the lingering coffee taste could be tasted The UK always has a couple of little packets of biscuits next the tea/coffee facilities, this hotel of its stature could copy this courteous gesture

The hotel accommodated my requests for early check-in and late check-out and for a balcony. There were always bicycles available when we wanted them. The swimming pool was lovely. The location is perfect.

The concierge service could be improved. We waited for a long time while the concierge had a discussion with a colleague and it was only when a manager prompted him that he came back to the desk to give us some service. On another occasion, we asked the concierge for the Montreux-Geneva train schedule and received an off-hand/not friendly answer "one every hour" - we needed to push to get more specific times that allowed us to plan our departure more accurately.

The property is lovely and very nicely located

On arrival we were asked if we would like to benefit from an upgrade - we said ooh yes please (as when offered before it was always complementary) then after 30 mins wait we were told it’s £1000 extra a night !!! It was a deal and the man bartered that basically our room at 650 Swiss francs was a bit rubbish! We needless to say didn’t upgrade but we’re annoyed as we were for 30 Mins left to believe our upgrade was complementary and then made to feel a little second class !

Some areas could be made into some comfortable up to date areas- for example outside the dining breakfast area- what a wasted space. The bar area although lovely is very small. The Jazz Cafe was amazing- food was delicious!!! Just after the festival- managed to get into Claude’s on the Sat night- then is was closed when we stayed after the festival which was a real shame as it had a great atmosphere! We were at The Royal Plaza for the last 4 days of festival. Pool area lovely! Hotel a bit tired in places!

The hotel’s doctor. I got covid on day 2 of our trip. He prescribed an antibiotic which is not recommended to treat covid and some herbal remedies that were not recommended for my symptoms. I paid almost $500 for this, and felt worse. After contacting my own doctor to get guidance on these medications, she told me to stop taking them Immediately. Very disappointing

Excellent location close to the lake and promenade. Amazing breakfast with a view. Spa facilities were excellent and comfortable. Staff was courteous and helpful. Rooms were very clean and a decent size. Close to train station so connection to Geneva was convenient.

Beds were not very comfortable - too firm. We booked a double room with city view but unfortunately got a room on a lower floor facing the back of the hotel. Not very pleasant for the price paid.

We really appreciated the upgrade to a more comfortable room for 3 adults and the little attentions in the room. In particular, the view of the balcony was impressive. We also took advantage of the pool and spa facilities which were great. The location is perfect for visiting the local festivals and walking distance from the train as well as enjoying a super view of the lake.

The reception services in the hotel were great, however the response time contacting the hotel on the booking.com app was not very fast or efficient.

Everything was perfect. We received an upgrade room because of our honeymoon. The breakfast was really good and hotel staffs were polite and kindly.

I just missed more variety of fruits at the breakfast, specially berries.

This is not called a Palace for no reason, from an enormous beautifully decorated Christmas tree, extravagant reception and entrance to the amazing breathtaking view of lake Geneva from the room, this hotel really made one feel like royalty from the moment you arrive. It does come with a hefty price but it is truly breathtaking and really memorable!

This is a beautiful hotel with a lot of history in its walls. Our room had a small balcony with a stunning view of Lake Geneva (room 512). The room was very comfortable with all amenities you may need (Nespresso machine, handy iPad with hotel information, etc.). The breakfast was plentiful with a lot of choices. The staff is professional, kind and attentive. A valet parking is a big plus too.
