- Non-EU citizens remember to take your passport with you. Only the person who made the booking needs to scan the passport. - Very easy to find. One can either take a bus or a nice walk up till the property. Be prepared for a slightly uphill climb if one plans to walk but it's worth it. - Room had mountain view as advertised. - Room was clean and modern. - Bonus: All the minibar items were free. Not sure if it is usually a thing or some Easter courtesy. - Check in and out was completely automated. However, there is a guy around. He is really polite and nice.

This is an exceptional hotel, with a view of Lake Maggiore, and five minutes' walk from a nice, quiet little beach where you can swim. It's a five minute drive from Locarno and its restaurants, so it doesn't matter that there is no breakfast at the hotel. Everything is high-tech: from the digital check-in to the lights that come on automatically when you step out of bed in the night, the electric blinds, and the quiet, efficient air conditioning. But there is also the human touch: Sebastian, the owner, was on hand to help oldies like me with the on-screen check-in, and was extremely kind and friendly, with all sorts of advice about places to see. The room was spacious, the bed big and very comfortable, the bathroom perfectly appointed. There were even free drinks in the fridge. There is plenty of very cheap parking nearby. This hotel is really luxury class and for the price is incredible value. I shall certainly make it my address in Locarno from now on.

There was no downside, unless having to have breakfast somewhere else is a problem.

My almost 21 years old cat was admitted and welcome, rare in Switzerland unfortunately.... Small things are always the most important to me: - very pleasant atmosphere - welcome fruit and cold water with lemon - free drinks in the room - comfortable and nice modern fournitures - style with simplicity

- Quite a few steps to climb to reach the checking in are which is also the rooms floor (no elevator) - Check in with machine slightly cumbersome (be ready with the ID as if you don't scan it quickly then you have to start again). But I was lucky and got great help from stuff who lucky was present when I arrived to go through it quickly.

I booked at short notice (same day!) and really enjoyed my stay, will definitely be back next time I am in Locarno + Very friendly and responsive proprietor at the front desk - Checkin was super fast and later he helped with question about TV + Quiet, clean, practical room with storage under bed and clothes rack + Easy light and blind control with touch panel. Two layers of window blinds (sun blind for day and total light block for night) + Super comfy bed + Lots of well thought through aesthetic details like natural materials, relaxing colour scheme + Free quality drinks in Mini bar and good quality coffee at reception + Very convenient location - short bus ride from Locarno train station and a few minutes walk from lake + Chatbot for dealing with issues + Migrolino is a couple of minutes away for groceries + Can loan plants for room!!! + Actually prefer the curtain for the bathroom as it makes the room feel bigger

- Mountain side room looks out onto a main road - with window open occasional traffic noise (Closed you hear nothing). I got the last free room so will try lake side next time

Accommodation: #My experience The hotel (rooms/studios) has a high tech look and feel to it. From the moment of communicating with the staff to the check-in, everything is self service. Before arriving at the accommodation the staff will provide the possibility to check in ahead. I waited until is was at the accommodation to check myself in (felt like Qatar Airways). You gain access to the accommodation (and your own room) by uploading your access authorization to one of the cards placed on the counter. After finishing the check in process you have access. Once inside my room I noticed that the room had a nice sleek design to it. The bed was comfy and the pillows were good. The bar/desk has enough space to place you laptop, tablet, mobile and other accessories without being cramped. The bathroom is neatly designed and the hot water is instantly warm/hot. The view from the bar/desk was great, this is also the case from the bed (mountains). At the check-in counter all kinds of booklets, excursion and tour guides are at your disposal to explore Locarno and the rest of Ticino. #Facts Clean & sleek room design, comfy bed, good bar/desk, decent amount of wall outlets, high tech touch switches, sensor lamps, shield curtains, air-conditioning, mini fridge and a vault. Fresh fruit on the check-in counter everyday :-) Location/area: #My experience The accommodation is located on top of a BMW dealer. A bus stop is nearby in the street and there are quite some grocery stores located in the area such as Denner and Migros. Across the street there is a pizza place. There is a parking area in the street next to the accommodation (against the cemetery). Walking down this street leads to Lago Maggiore. At Lago Maggiore it is a 10 min walk to the boulevard/city center.

Staff: #My experience Even though everything is manageable without staff, the atmosphere of the accommodation sometimes felt very impersonal and distant. It probably has to do with the fact that I am used to meet and greet with staff. #Facts - The staff is very quick in responding back (Booking.com chat)

This property was very new and modern and beautifully designed. The staff was extremely helpful. No breakfast included but we bought food at the nearby grocery store and ate in the lobby buying their coffee, which was nice. We also took advantage of the car rental available at the property which was most convenient. The beds were comfortable and the black-out blinds were fantastic. Also the doors and windows were blocked out most sounds.

The location is a good 20 min. walk outside of central Locarno but this was reflected in the price and buses are available to catch from the center and the walk from the bus stop was not long.

We spend here only one night, but we enjoyed our stay so much. The kids loved the “elevated” beds above the working area. The room and bathroom are extremely clean. There is a free minibar and a small fridge. All the switches and controls are touch panels. It so cool and futuristic. Overall the furniture is well thought-out. Everything is new and properly working. The bathroom is a masterpiece… specially the shower area.

Just to let everybody know… It’s quite a small room where you can only take a shower and sleep, but for us it was what we needed.

everything was just great. the accomodation was very modern, nicely and decently furnished with nice mountain and lake view from the window. there was a shared area with coffee machine, cold drinks and sitting possibility. the personnel was helpful. the overall impression was great and the ticino ticket was a super benefit for moving around the region.

Check-in by myself is great idea. It was easy. We didn’t know where to park car and didn’t know rules for free parking. Thank you that you leave information on the table. Room has everything what you need for one night or longer period. Even small kitchen with all staff (olive oil, salt, pepper, everything). Thank you for smart TV. We enjoyed our Netflix. Bathroom is good and nice cosmetic. Everything is well organized. Thank you!

Very clean, newly decorated, and very comfortable bedroom located in a perfect spot close to the Lago Maggiore località Minusio. Breakfast at Osteria della Riva was excellent as well as the dinner at the Restaurant all'approdo di Tenero. We'll come back!

Nothing. We had a great time. The staff was helpful with parking instructions and even lend us some change to pay the ticket.
