Beatiful view at restaurant. Friendly staff

Lobby and escalator smells food. But room is okay.

Has great elevated position overlooking lake Lucerne. Free car parking. Room had good sized balcony - great for relaxing. Double bed with split duvet & great pillow -very comfortable. Flat screen TV (guide stated various channels but signal wasn't working) Room had mobile air conditioning unit - was great as was very hot. Only down side - it was noisy. Bathroom a little dated but had all that was needed & toiletries. Free tea & coffee on top floor - help yourself. Excellent food in the restaurant. Continental buffet style breakfast. Both breakfast & evening meals could be eaten out on the terrace with great lake views. Gabriela in the restaurant was particularly helpful & friendly.

Lady at check in seemed distracted - had to ask for information & that provided was limited.

The lake view is a must. My parents got the mountain view and it was a view of the parking lot with mountain in the back. The hotel is older but comfortable. The staff was great assisting with check out, suggesting itineraries and helping with calling taxis for the older people in our group. Very helpful! The breakfast good with the some good coffee! We chose the hotel because it was between Luzern and Interlaken.

Because of the great lake view, you have to go up a hill to reach the hotel. Our family had some older members so walking up or even taking the bus down to the hotel would have been difficult. The hotel does have the number to some taxis so that was helpful.

When we stayed in July there ws a fridge and freezer that was available for residents to use, but it wasn't there in August - is this a permanent feature. It proved very useful on our journey forom Italy keeping stuff cool. we were very disappointed when we went to top floor to find it wasn't there. We also had to wait a long time to be checked in. We had travelled nearly 12 hours and didn't arrive until late and then we had to wait for sometime. In fact we had to find a member of staff to check us in, they then took another couple waiting to go to the dining room through first, even though they were after us. Our room was small as well.

We stayed in a 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom apartment. It was very spacious, modern and well equipped. The staff were helpful and responded to any requests very quickly. The breakfast was very adequate with a good variety of food including scarmbled eggs. Trains to Lucerne were very regular and coordinated well with the local bus.

The view from the balcony was restricted unlike the hotel rooms which had uninterrupted views of Lake Lucerne. We could not sit on the balcony and directly see the view of the lake. Walking from the bus stop was difficult with heavy luggage and we ended catching a taxi back to the train station when we left the hotel to catch a train to our next destination.

The view is stunning. We stayed in a room with a balcony overlooking the lake, can highly recommend! The hotel is located up a very steep hill which is stipulated by the hotel when booking. It is well worth the walk though. Room was very clean, spacious. Air con unit was strong. Lift to get to the upper floors. Breakfast wasn’t great for us, it’s a basic continental but wasn’t replenished so we ended up not eating anything. The view is stunning though. I would recommend but if you don’t have a car I would recommend a taxi from the train station.

I really liked the design of the room, very cozy The bed was very comfortable The breakfast was very good and rich. One day we got there late so some of the food was missing but we asked and .they prepared for us The staff was very nice There is a place in the floor where you can get yourself tea, coffee and water There are a lot of parking places

The shower sometimes switched between hot and lukewarm water The walk to the train by foot is inconvenient, it's a steep uphill road and not a sidewalk You can hear the church in the morning and it wakes you up

The rooms have been nicely furnished, lovely attractive bedding & accessories, looks more like a bedroom in a home than a hotel. So very pleasing. The bedside lamps are amazing, able to choose which type of ambient light you like. The bathrooms are the giveaway that the hotel is older, but are perfectly functional with really good quality towels & toiletries. Lovely breakfast buffet, I needed my breakfast to take away & they were very accommodating. The food in the restaurant is exceptional, really tasty, well prepared & beautifully presented. Switzerland prices are very high so expect to pay above the European average for dinner & wine. The location is right above the lake to the views are incredible, a nice walking workout can be had up & down the hill in to town. Overall a lovely stay.

Perhaps more modern bathrooms but there’s really nothing wrong with the existing ones, they just look dated compared to the room.

We've got a room with lake view, beautiful view of the lake Lucern. Rooms are small but very clean. I have booked for 2 adults but travel with my kid as well. After arrival they have quickly arranged additional person stay, with extra charge of course :). Restaurant was also with nice view. Good place far away from city noise.

its 10-15 mins walk from the nearest Hergiswil train station but very very very stiff up hill path. Breakfast options are basic. No shops close by.

1) Hotel staffs were very friendly. 2) The view from the hotel was great. (Lake and mountain view) 3) The room was enough large and clean for 4-adults and 2-kids. 4) The dinner at the hotel restaurant was good. 5) Air conditioners were furnished.

1) The variety of breakfast would be able to be improved. (It was standard and not bad.) 2) Cars (Taxi or rental cars) would be mandatory. 3) There were 2 both rooms, but we wanted to have more larger one ideally.
