Hotel Gasthaus Hirschen

The hotel was very authentic. The room was big, which is very rare to find nowadays. Also the breakfast had almost everything, of course it was not with waffles or crepes or anything special, but very normal and the space was pretty big. The view from the room is fantastic with church of Kirchdorf right on the corner. The bus station is right at the steps of the hotel, in case you dont have a car or you dont want to use the car. The bus stops at Baden Banhof and center city. Also the stuff very friendly and helpful.

Almost everything perfect, minor details which dont affect anything in a tourist stay, so there is no need to mention here. For example I was there during extreme heat wave which is rare in Switzerland, because I have been in Baden several times and this heat is not at all common and the house infrastructure in Switzerland are not adapt for such heat(as in Italy or in Albania or Spain)

I was not able to have breakfast as I had to leave early in the morning. As breakfast was included in the price, I asked for a packed breakfast instead, and they gladly provided it , which was very useful for me. The staff were friendly. The hotel is very nice. And in a quiet location. The food served in their restaurant is excellent.

The scent diffuser they put in the room. I have high sensitivity to smells, and I much rather have a room that is simply clean and odour free, it doesn't have to smell good. So upon arrival I had burning eyes and throat because of that. Luckily I could open the windows wide and put the pot-pourri smelly thing outside.

clean, comfortable elevator (very useful for people with bags) floor standing fans in each room (boon) excellent attitude of staff nice cold breakfast (only boiled eggs possible) peaceful laidback village location 25-30 mins from both Zurich city center as the Flughafen, excellent if you have a rental car and don’t want to pay big bucks and have the noise of the main city. I didn’t find the nearby church bells obtrusive at all.

maybe a cooked/hot breakfast like omelette or something

We stayed in a quadruple room. The room was quite spacious, clean and refurbished with lots of wood elements to maintain the old house look, what we particularly liked. It's more like 2 The bathroom is very large and perfect for a family stay (functional & modern style). The breakfast is more like a 4 star hotel, quality food and lots of varieties. Locally made apple juice and marmelades were delicious. We stayed here two times while travelling through Switzerland and enjoyed the little village around the hotel very much.

It would be nice to have air condition for warm summer nights.

Set in the center of a quiet, picturesque village. Lots of parking available. I had a nice evening meal on arrival. My room was spacious and was located in an apartment block, a short walk from the main guesthouse.

Nothing of any significance

Location is ideal for easy access into Baden if you want family stay. Bus stop is next to parking area, making it ideal to travel. Local farms with live cattle in near sight of hotel to enjoy country feel.

The property has classic Swiss charm in a stunning setting! The breakfast is amazing and allows guests to experience local traditions and delicacies. The parking is easy and free. The staff respond to your every need and desire. We plan to visit as often as we can!!!

great stay, the only thing I can mention is that the bathroom is extremely small very good food, both good breakfast and excellent diner of local dishes

Perfect for a one night stay, a country hotel with a very comfortable bad and soft pillow.

We were a little bit disapointed that the restaurant was closed when we arrived, but found a good restaurant in vicinity.

This place was exactly what I had hoped for and more. The staff was wonderful and helpful. Amanda even helped us arrange breakfast for our early am flight. Would love to stay here again!
